   Really bad entrance, down a skanky alleyway and in a grotty elevator. Service was slow (1 server ) drinks were reasonable but not what I expected from an awarded cocktail lounge. Overall really not one expected from the reviews, maybe my taste is elevated, maybe I make better drinks myself, maybe it’s just not for us.

   Great energy and drinks. Noise level was pretty high which made it tough to have a conversation, but not impossible. But overall a nice spot for drinks with friends.

    Roof top experience was wonderful for a summer night. Despite a 90 minute table limit we were able to stay longer due to open tables.

    We made a reservation for 11PM and arrived and were told it’s closed?? We ubered from New Jersey for a birthday and it was a sad let down that we didn’t get served. Please update the app to the correct times so this doesn’t happen to anyone else!

    The view from the Broken Shaker rooftop is beyond amazing and the vibes are immaculate. I like the entrance thru the back to the service elevator, makes it feel like the Mafia-style VIP treatment lol. I'm very happy I made a reservation ahead of time because the line was probably 20 or so people long, snaking all the way around the corner! The drinks were delicious, I just wish they had a bigger food menu because there are only 4 apps on the menu. But this is definitely a bar and not a restaurant so I can't complain!

    Broken Shaker is one of my favorite places. Yoli the bartender is fantastic with service, drink making and taking orders. Very hospitable. Me and a girlfriend were first sat at a table in the hallway next to a cold window. It was cold for us and there were no heaters. We asked to be moved into a warmer area bear the bar when a 2 top got up. The manager said he might have to keep that table if a reservation of 3 came in. I looked in the other room and there were many open lounge areas for 3 or more seating. A 2 top opened up, and they put a new 2 top who walked in at that table. They never had a 3rd person. I went to the bathroom, came back and my food was taken and I hadn’t even finished it. I still had fries and half a chicken sandwich left. I didnt say anything about that. After an hour, we were moved into the warmer bar area, then 15 minutes goes by and the manager Steven told us we had to get up because a reservation is coming in right now. We still hd full drinks. Yet i saw a couple sitting at a 2 top for 2.5 hours. The entire length of our stay, and weren’t asked to get up or move. Its kindof awful to just push people out although I understand reservations. But when you see plenty of other open spaces, then its just rude. So my food was taken away in a rush, and we were freezing, uncomfortable, pushed out. And I drove an hour from jersey to visit this place. Steven was nice, and i know he was just doings his job, just like every manager. The atmosphere was cute. I wont be going there again though.

    Pretentious but why?. Horrible. No seating. Was put outside with chairs drenched in rain even though windy in the low forties with the indoor seating mostly empty (requested indoors but the whole staff too stupid to make the basics happen, more interested in hiding). For seventeen dollars a drink, zero service (order at the bar) and almost no food (3 fast food in styrofoam microwave sandwiches); maybe the worst bar in Manhattan in every way. Hard to even say negative things as the experience even worse then those words, there just is not language to describe this dump. The Broken Shaker is totally broken. Don’t waste your time. Totally new staff and management with a higher cumulative IQ then an insect would be a start for this place to maybe be something.

    Delicious drinks and decent portions for food. The price is what you expect for Manhattan rooftop drinks. We were there right around opening with a reservation, but there were plenty of people. The service was a little spotty (wandered around for a few minutes looking for my party right past the host and a waiter). You do have to go to the bar to order, which is a little frustrating, but probably safer for everyone.

    We went to Broken Shaker for an afternoon drink on a lovely September afternoon. The service was very friendly and quick. The drinks were very good and the fries were crispy. The space is small but very pleasantly furnished. We enjoyed our visit.

    The drinks on the Rooftop were excellent. It's pretty much self-service at this point given COVID, but the bartender was great and made some excellent cocktails. The chicken sandwich was pretty great, albeit a bit messy. Empanada was excellent - the crust was delicious. The fries were crispy and perfect. Our view was the best part. We faced downtown. The weather was perfect. All in all, a great night. Make a reservation.
