It was nice as a local place. Probably great for Swarthmore parents and locals. Wouldn’t call it a destination. But pleasant.

The restaurant itself is quite attractive with a modern feel and an open floor plan. The bar, fireplace, and tables all flow together. The restaurant is centrally located in the Inn at Swarthmore — a very nice addition to the Ville. There is plenty of parking in the rear of the Inn. Alas, the menu was limited, the wine list pricey, as were the wines by the glass. I’m not sure what the management’s strategy is on that front. Fortunately, there is a good selection of beers on tap, as well as cider. The noise level was off the charts for at least half of our time in the tavern. A party of fifteen or twenty people in the center high table managed to drown out attempts at conversation nearby. As to the food, well, it was OK at best but not memorable. The wait staff was warm and professional, as was the receptionist. The Broad Table Tavern should be a winner but it hasn’t succeeded. The operator has had abundant time to fine tune this place. They must try harder.

Service wasn’t great. Half the food was good, the other half was meh. The dinner menu didn’t have the lamb sliders on it so I didn’t know that I could order them until after I had ordered my food (I would have liked to have tried them). Not sure if I’ll be back.

To start, our server Dana was awesome. She made us feel so welcome and provided a couple food selections off the menu. A few of us had the French Toast breakfast and others had the Route 66 breakfast. Everything was delicious and Dana did not rush us. I know we will all be back. The atmosphere was lovely. Highly recommend going for their brunch. Thank you.

Really nice, and a great addition for the Swarthmore and Delaware County dining scene. Great service too - attentive while not being overwhelming. We'll be back.
