Nice place. Great food. Quite loud as it’s one big room, but only negative from me is that it was quite warm inside. No ceiling fans to keep air circulating. It made fully enjoying our experience from five stars to only four stars.
Very good food and excellent service. However. It was very loud and conversation was difficult.
Best part for us after the good food was the tablet menu. Described each dish in detail with a picture. Presentation is important. Also owner walked around to each table. However, noise level is very high.
Food is consistently great. Service at the bar was slow.
The food was very good, huge portions. Massive beer list, and a decent wine list. Service was very friendly. When the bartender realized he'd poured me the wrong wine, he quickly brought over the right glass and let me keep the other one. Being able to reserve here was a plus, as it was busy on the Saturday night we were there. Would definitely go back if we are staying in the downtown area again.
Food and service were good. Location is challenging due to parking and street life
It was delicious! We ordered the nachos, they were amazing, fried pickles were wonderful. By the time we got our entrees (Everything came out really quick) we were stuffed from the delicious nachos!
Absolutely wonderful! Definitely one of our go-to places.
My Waldorf salad was very good though the tacos, my husband got he said they were too greasy.
my second time there and was just as impressed as the first time. the food is fresh can't believe I'm in ABQ! I had the Chimi burger and it was delish! we had to wait a bit for our entree, in the meantime they sent over a complimentary appetizer. Awesome service & ambiance. this a locally woman owned business and i will definitely go back. tell your friends & neighbors. the one caveat, no beer on tap but they have happy hour all day on Sunday, what a bargain!
Our party of 3 arrived a bit late due to late flight- hostess called to verify our reservation and was very kind, seated us immediately.
Let’s just say this is not a “foodie” spot. The tacos were very unremarkable and spiced with what tasted like sriracha sauce or tabasco not red chili, fish taco was bland. Fish dinner was very bland, but shrimp had a nice flavor. Nice touch that the fish dinner was split on two plates- some casual spots do not do this!
Additionally, we waited 20 minutes after ordering a glass of wine. Server was slow but adequate otherwise.
Lastly, unless you arrive after having a couple of cocktails with you loudest friends- the noise level is simply intolerable. At 6:45 we could not have a conversation at our table. I noticed several others commenting the same. Not sure this can be remedied- perhaps better for lunch or the bar?
We do like local spots and want them to do well-perhaps just an off night. We wish Brixens much success!
Absolutely wonderful! I would recommend to anyone who has allergy sensitivities.
We were seated promptly away from the kitchen and presented with electronic menus. The menu was well organized and simple to navigate but might be difficult for those without tech savvy. Our server, Kris, greeted us after providing enough time to review the menu. We ordered the Caprese Salad and Chicken & Enchiladas. The latter was served with red and green sauces that NM natives will appreciate, but may be to spicy for those hailing from outside the state. The Caprese was large and full of delicious greens, breaded and deep fried olives, seasoned and cooked chicken, and homemade dressing - excellent! Kris was attentive, but not obtrusive and offered outstanding service. We complemented her work and she told us that really made her happy since she was serving solo for only the second day since completing her training. What a winner and good luck to Kris! A great meal and excellent service!
Good food - good service. We went on a Sunday so it wasn’t too loud. Will go again.
Food was delicious and imaginatively prepared. Cocktails were also excellent. Service was top-notch. However, the noise level was somewhat uncomfortable. The building has very high ceiling, mostly metal, no sound absorption; and, since the restaurant was quite full on a Saturday evening, the noise level was commensurate.
Fine dining downtown. Drinks were so tasty that it would have been easy to over drink. Steak, salad, chips n dips were all delicious and cooked to order. Waiter was exceptional, great personality, his service was stellar and a breath of fresh air. We will be returning.
Everything we ate was delicious. But I CANNOT say enough about the waffle cut sweet potato fries. Seriously one of the best things I've eaten in a long time. Sweet, salty, and a little kick of spice at the end... with homemade ranch too? YES PLEASE. The rest of the food was off the charts too. Best meal we ate in Albuquerque.
Fun restaurant just super noisy making conversation difficult.
I've been twice - once for lunch and once for dinner. Both times, the food was terrific and portions ample. However, at the dinner hour, it is so very noisy you have to shout to your companions. We went to a quiet place for dessert, when we would have preferred to stay. At lunch, the noise is manageable. Parking is tight at night as well.
The food tasted good but the seasoning and salt were excessive. They have a great idea going after the celiac and allergy sufferer market by accommodating diverse needs. However, this grand vision is only as good as its execution. We ordered gluten-free quesadillas and were given wheat. The server comped the price for those from our ticket, but my wife spent the next two days feeling miserable. Bottom line: if you are going to cater to celiacs then your entire staff must be 100 percent on the ball, because there is no such thing as a small mistake.
Accommodated our larger party, great service, excellent drinks and great shareable food. Would definitely return.
They have done wonders with this place! We went to watch college basketball and the staff were so welcoming, friendly and accommodating. Everyone was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. Food was EXCELLENT! Everything's made to order and so they ask you to be patient, but I didn't think it took long at all. Sliders, chile cheese fries, wings, spinach dip, all excellent. And a pretty decent wine list for a place that really specialized in craft cocktails, which I appreciated. My husband said his old fashion was delicious. Can't wait to go back!
The food is amazing. The portions are wonderful. The price is perfect. The drinks are great. The options for drinks is amazing.
We pretty much love this place. I've been to Brixens only twice in as many visits to ABQ, but I will 1000% be going back (and recommending it to everyone). The food is fantastic, the drinks were so well made, and everyone we came in contact with was knowledgeable, welcoming, and friendly. The service was excellent. I'm moving to Albuquerque for work in the next few months, and look forward to many more meals at Brixens.
One of my favorite eating spots in Abq.!
Great place for food and spirits, to celebrate a special occasion and enjoy laughter with friends.
Great food. Loud when crowded. God service
Excellent blue cheese mushroom sliders, very good corned beef dinner, outstanding chocolate dessert. Our waiter needed more training, however. Brought my drink up instead of on the rocks that I requested. Didn't tell me, when I ordered a salad, that a salad was included with my order so I had 2 salads. Brought my coffee saying it was the end of the pot (ugh) and that he would bring another for my husband when the new one was ready. Forgot to bring the second one.
This place is wonderful!! Food is incredible and service is top notch. Bar is full service with good specials. Service is great and attentive.
Great location, good vibe when you walk in, friendly staff, great menu, potions are large and the price is spot on. We will be back and highly recommend Brixens!
Excellent food and service!
Waiter slow to pick up on table needs. Drinks good. Food delicious. Need more lighter main course options. We will be back
Very nice and enjoyable. Great service and food. Everything looked delicious.
Jus dinner with a friend and it was great. A wonderful find for a night with family or date with spouse. Loved it!
Nice environment, friendly and knowledgeable wait staff, and very good food. Portions were rather large and with the location downtown most people won’t go home right away so getting the rest of the meal to go could be a hassle. But overall it was very good and we had a great time. Well done!
Everything was wonderful! We had the Old Fashion Cocktail and it was delicious! The caprese salad and it was so delicious but I couldn’t eat but half!! So yummy. Our waitress was kind and just the right attentive! We’ll be back!!
Great food and super friendly staff. The atmosphere is fun and clean.
My husband and I came to Albuquerque from Roswell and came to Brixens for the first time. my sister told me about it, and it was absolutely to our pleasing! We got the brisket taquitos, chips and three dips, chili cheese fries and green chili cheese burgers and two drinks each. It was a great date night :) we will be back ! Thank you for the delicious and great night. See y’all soon!
Want of the best things to happen to New Mexico in a long time! I'll be back for the great food and drinks!
Everything about Brixen’s was appetizing! From the ambiance to the excellent food, the experience was terrific! We cannot wait to go back!
