Food and ambiance were excellent.
Service was not. Drink order did not arrive till meal was almost done despite several inquiries. No apology by server was ever given. He only showed up to take order and present bill. Never once to inquire how we were doing or if we needed anything else. Others were tasked to perform all other functions.
We just had dinner here tonight for my 50th birthday and although the food was fantastic, and the gardens were beautiful their service was some of the worst I have experienced. We dine out quite frequently and I’ve never been treated so poorly. The waiter was a young pimply face kid who could have cared less. We ordered wine and he totally forgot about us and at the end of our meal came by to let us know we could not find the bottle. He never apologized or anything. We had mentioned it was my 50th birthday and they didn’t bring out a dessert or anything which is an absolute first. When I went to complain to the manager and let them know what happened he basically acted as if he could care less and didn’t offer anything. We left feeling pretty terrible. There are so many wonderful restaurants in Napa, I’m not sure I would ever come back here again. Overall an awful experience.
Beautiful setting with great food.
Service was slow, waiter extremely rude throughout and not attentive!
Food was good as it always is. Not spectacular but tasty and well prepared. Service on a relatively slow night was poor. No soup spoon for the soup, a very long wait for our main course after a speedy delivery on the appetizer and soup. The gardens are beautiful but it seems as if the attention to detail inside has deteriorated in the last 3 or 4 years
After waiting too long for a server, we were almost ready to walk out, but a very nice server stopped by, apologized profusely and gave us excellent recommendations and service. I have an unusual allergy to garlic, and he was very careful to identify dishes that could not accommodate that. He was personable and efficient, and we enjoyed our time at Brix as soon as he stepped in. Loved the newly remodeled design, both inside and out, and it was an active bar scene. We will be back. We always have a great meal there, and the wine list is not to be believed!
We came here for a 1PM appointment based on a prior good experience. Ambience out in the patio is really ey pleasing. For $50 brunch buffet however, choices were only a handful. More so if you are allergic to seafood, or a vegeterian. There were some good deserts but they were running out by our 1PM appointment and they had stopped replenishing despite 2.30PM close time! Drinks are extra except for coffee which is fine but overall we did not feel we got our money's worth like last time just about a year ago.
For birthday celebration, however restaurant didn’t recognize & do anything special. What’s the point of indicating special occasion at time of reservation
Beautiful setting and wonderful Sunday brunch
Beautiful setting, great food. It is like a magazine cover of a Napa Valley brunch.
The food was excellent but the portion size for the $$ charged was not good. Very small plates for a decent price point.
Loved it! Great starters. Best flavor tomato caprese ever! Scallop and short rib entrees were delicious.
Food was just ok. Brisket was dry, dessert was just ok.
We had a GREAT time at Brix. Great atmosphere and awesome food.
I love the decor and atmosphere of this place. The lunch menu was very limited. The amount of food I received for the price was very disappointing. Also, there was a horrible problem with flies all around our table and food. We had to keep swatting them away just to eat. Very disappointing.
Greet place. But to be missed.
Really enjoyed the tempura green beans, but the Brix burger was overcooked and had little flavor.
Beautiful setting. Good outstanding. Service good
The halibut was outstanding! Sit on the patio if you can - gorgeous setting! Great service, great wine, great food!
We enjoyed our 46th anniversary at Brix for a quiet, cozy dinner. The ambiance, service and food were excellent. We drove from Mill Valley and enjoyed a beautiful scenic drive Sunday afternoon.
The outdoor accommodations and garden were unreal.
We ordered the tempura string beans and the grilled stone fruit salad. I had the pan fried halibut and my wife had the Brix burger with fries. Unfortunately, we were so full we did not enjoy any dessert. Highly recommend Brix.
We have been to many of the top rated restaurants in the Napa Valley and we are always happy to go back to Brix. The service and menu and ambiance is always so nice that it makes each meal an enjoyable and unrushed relaxed affair. And if you're in Napa for wine then their wine list will make your eyes light up. All in all a really pleasant experience.
Wonderful in every way as it is always been since we started coming to Brix
In general the food is average. NY Strip was low quality meat, though and lacked flavor. Several at the table ordered the risotto/ filet special which was advertised as a 3 oz filet which was more like 1. Corn side was two partial on the cob chunks impossible to share. Over all the service was rushed. Would not recommend nor repeat.
Food and ambiance was excellent. Service was not poor, but it was very impersonal and nonchalant. It seemed pervasive as we saw it with each of the 4 staff members we interacted with. Not what you would expect from a top notch restaurant.
Amazing setting. Fantastic food. Scallops are beyond all imagination.
Brix provided us with a delicious Napa Valley fine dining experience. We began with a tasty Butter-Lettuce/Burrata/Tomato salad with prosciutto, a nutty pesto, and balsamic vinegar. From there we moved to a yummy roasted Cauliflower with a date, pine nut, chimichurri crumble, dressed with lemon brown butter. Our entrees were brilliant. I had carmelized Sea Scallops with forest mushrooms, sweet corn, hazelnuts, and a truffle vinegarette, over potato purée. My lovely Bride enjoyed the Pan Seared Halibut with coconut rice, Dungeness crab, llobster, mushroom, in a five-spice sweet & sour broth. Brix’s dishes offered a brilliant spectrum of delicious flavors. Service was professional, friendly, and attentive. I offer my highest recommendation of Brix Restaurant and Gardens.
Excellent service with a beautiful setting in the garden. Highly recommend!
Great experience! Accidentally tipped $50 on $90 but I guess it was worth it 😜
Lovely setting by the garden and delicious meal. Service was pretty slow even though the restaurant wasn’t crowded and we went early. Would definitely go again.
Terrific meal and great service.
Love the patio and garden areas.
The newly renovated Brix restaurant is wonderful. Very light inside, compared to dark before. And you can enjoy the outdoor garden and vineyards from inside too!
We had a lovely evening at Brix!
We ate outside, food and ambiance was terrific.
What more can I say?
Good and Bad!
We enjoyed our meal on the patio at Brix today. Food and wine were wonderful. Service was great and the setting is breathtaking! Our lovely time was overshadowed by the final two minutes as we left the restaurant. As I was exiting the restroom, what seemed to be a manager was having angry words with the young girl at the front desk. His final comment was “if this happens again, I’m going to have to write you up!”. There is absolutely never a reason for patrons of an establishment to hear this type of exchange. This should have been handled in private. There was another couple coming in the door and this was what greeted them. Instead of talking about how much we enjoyed our lunch and BRIX on the way home we talked about the poor behavior of the manager. So sad to overshadow what could have been a lovely Anniversary lunch.
Such a lovely setting. Wine country at its best. Definitely worth a visit.
The food was excellent although we thought we were rushed through our meal. Walking in the gardens after dinner was beautiful.
Buffet was kinda gross - flies on food. Do not recommend brunch. Service was slow.
Ceviche was great, so was salmon. Oysters were disappointing. Need more chocolate deserts! Grounds are lovely, will recommend for the ambiance.
