Brix Ratings and Reviews
Brix is really a great place to start your day in NAPA. The location gives you a view of the hills and BRIX's own private vineyard. If its not too hot, ask to be seated on the Patio. The service at BRIX is really a notch above both at brunch and regular dining service, truly 5 stars. During brunch there is always someone nearby to refill food in the buffet, beverages at your table, and to clear and replace tableware. The food itself is great, with a variety of tasty breakfast and lunch fare. I found myself returning to the dessert table for the homemade donut holes, oreos, and cupcakes, all were outstanding. At just $38.50 per person, Brunch at Brix a fun, reasonable way to spoil yourself and friends after a long week!
Hard to come up with enough great words to describe. Wine list excellent and help in choosing a new "find" much appreciated. We have been dining at least once a year for last 5 years and always look to coming back. Menu changes and always many great choices. Service is excellent and very attentive
What a beautiful location to dine. The pace of the meal was perfect. Try the pizza, it was thin crust and topped with fresh toppings. The meatball appetizer was a pleasant surprise with just a touch of extra spice to make it interesting. Our group of 6 all agreed, we will definitely go back when in Napa.
We were greated and they acknowledged our reservation. Asked to eat inside or on patio. We choose patio...great view of garden and Napa Valley wine train passing by. Service was great...greeted, menu explained, food delivered on time and we were not rushed. Fresh and seasonal menu and food was delicious and warm...vege's from garden. Good local wine list. We shall return. Great service and will recommend to others.
We had Sunday brunch on the back terrace, and after one look at the gardens, I almost didn't care what the food was like. (Note the word "almost.") I tend not to expect much of a buffet, but Brix served up some of the finest food I've ever eaten in Napa. The seafood bar was amazing: teeming with shrimp, oysters, and smoked salmon. From salads to grilled vegetables...from eggs to classic breakfast side dishes...from fruit to assorted breads and sweets...the food seemed to go on forever. Overall, a lovely experience on all counts.
We had dinner here over the weekend and had an absolutely delicious meal - could not have asked for better food (definitely recommend the baked halibut). Unfortunately, we also had some of the worst service I've experienced. Our waiter was markedly absent, we had to ask repeatedly for water, and our wine came midway through the 2nd course. Also, while we admittedly look young (actually in our late 20s), we were treated like out of place teenagers - the condescension and unfriendly attitude was ridiculous. I would love to return to Brix, but will have a hard time doing so unless the service improves.
It doesn't look like much from the outside but once you walk in it's absolutely beautiful. The outdoor patio is maybe even more outstanding. Must take a staff of 5 full time people to maintain the grounds! Menu is not huge but food is good. Try the green beans tempura. Service was very professional if not overly friendly. It's also not cheap (cost us $160 for two including tip with one glass of wine each). But it's pretty much what you imagine an upscale Napa place to be like and just worth a visit if only to see how beautiful it is.
I don't normally write reviews, so I am not going to make this very long. I took visiting relatives to Brix for lunch, and it was a fantastic experience. We went on Sunday for the brunch, which was fantastic. The food was amazing, and outdoor seating area and views are fantasic, and the service was perfect.
A delightful dinner with a wonderful view of the vineyards. I fully enjoyed the Wild Boar and Polenta while my wife ordered and was overjoyed with the Salmon dish. Both were pleasantly presented and accompanied by excellent service. She seemed to know when to approach the table. You will enjoy the patio on a nice evening.
The view is second to none, with a west facing view out of the main dining room, you can also dine on their patio weather permitting. The food was very good the ribeye was excellent, the halibut was just ok. We would get the tempura green beans again, they were the good kind of interesting and something you dont see everwhere. The service was outstanding as well.
The service at Brix was superb. We went with a larger group than we had initially booked for and our server was very kind and accommodating in making sure those guests could sit at our table. Besides the great service, the view of the vineyard and garden beds from our table were beautiful. As for the food, we ended up going for the Sunday brunch buffet. The raw bar was very good though not one of the best I ever had. All of the cooked foods and charcuterrie were also good for a buffet but nothing to rave about. This restaurant's buffet is good if you are hungry and want good homestyle food.
The food was very good. Much improved since my last visit which was some time ago. The desire to get us in and out was a turn off. Food came out too fast and the wait staff was more intent on turning the table than insuring we had a relaxing meal in an appropriate amount of time. Wouldn't go back due to the lack of consideration to allow us to enjoy the food at a normal pace.
