                                                                                      Dined on 2 consecutive nights. Great setting. Good service. Food selections had mixed success. First night we dined on the beet salad and pork chop with an amazing cream/wine peach sauce with herbs. Both were very good. Second night started with the listed heirloom tomatoes salad, but the tomatoes were not heirlooms and completely tasteless. The hanger steak entree was disappointing, steak had average flavor, fries were the highlight. Fried chicken was good, small tomatoes very flavorful, sadly mashed potatoes cold. Chocolate cake desert very good, rich flavorful chocolate. Worth a visit, avoid the tomato salad and the hanger steak.

                                                                                      We arrived 10 minutes before our reservation (7pm) and we're told we would have to wait until the exact time to be seated. They said they would text us but we did not have that phone in hand, was in the car. Asked if we could use my husband's phone, host said, no, he would find us at the bar. Twenty-five minutes later, after watching several people who came in after us get seated in the outdoor area where we had reserved, my husband went back up to check, and was told not nicely by the host that they had texted us twice with no response. Same host who told us not to bother going back to get the phone, that he would find us at the bar. We're seated. Water brought right away, then nothing for 10 minutes. Finally waiter came, took our drink order. Fifteen minutes later he ran by, reintroduced himself then realized he had already done that AND taken our drink order. Fifteen more minutes finally get our drinks. He gave us an appetizer because of the delay, which is an acknowledgement but we didn't really need or want an appetizer. Took another 15 minutes for him to come back and take our dinner order. We seemed to be treated as an afterthought the whole evening. Food was good, but very disappointing service. It was Saturday night, and they were busy, but we watched our waiter spend much more time and return to nearby tables way more often and would just walk right by us.

                                                                                      We dined at Brix for our 33rd anniversary. We enjoyed a lovely table outside overlooking their gorgeous gardens. We started with the bread and cheese appetizer followed by soup and salad. My husband had the squash soup and I had a wedge salad. Both were quite tasty. Our main meal were scallops and short ribs. The plates were artistically presented and the food was excellently seasoned. We enjoyed 2 glasses of red wine with our meal. Dessert was butterscotch crème de pot and chocolate cake. Oh my, it was heaven! The staff also presented us with an anniversary card! So sweet!
