Brix was a nice place to take my entire family (5 small kids included). The service was great and they were very accommodating setting up our table. The food was average pizzeria type food. There wasn't anything special about it, but what we ordered came out in a reasonable time and was prepared well. If your looking for a nice family restaurant without any high expectations, Brix is a nice find
I had seen several good reviews on social media and have been wanting to stop in being it is a new restaurant in my area. My mother was visiting from Florida and my girlfriend and I wanted to take her out to dinner.Mom decided she'd like Italian food. So, I took them to Brix. Everything was just great all around. The atmosphere was great, service was great, food was superb.. We shared the artichoke appetizer, which we all loved.. My Orecchiette Alla Norcina was delicious! And, Im not a guy who usually takes a doggy bag, if its on my plate its gone, but the portion could easily fed two.. Mom loved her spinach raviolis and Brittany loved her shrimp fancese (which is a favorite). I highly recommend it whether its date night or a group event.
We found Brix by accident because it was listed under Montclair in Open Table but actually is in Belleville. We were the only patrons there on a Saturday night when we first walked in. The food was great but the waiter actually forgot about our Caesar salad appetizer. Its not that he was busy!! He made good by wrapping it up so we could bring it home and not charging us. They had a great micro brew selection of beer as well as a decent wine list. The ambiance was very nice and the bathroom was clean and done up.
We would definitely go back, as long as we didn't want to go to Montclair!!
Very good food, brick oven pizza's were incredible especially for the half prize before 7pm! Tried almost all pizza's! Entree servings were huge and can be split so it was perfect that we have pizza's as appetizers and split the 6 entrees, we were a group of 16 and there was more than enough. Unfortunately, the server forgot our calamari fritti but it's ok, we'll go back to try that. Best part is the Karaoke which starts at 9pm on a Friday. It's fun, energetic and folks seems in a different world just having a great time.
I took my g/f here for her bday, a little surprise dinner with some of her friends. The place is absolutely phenominal in terms of service and has a very unique Ambience. We were in a big group which just felt so fit for the place however i observed couples and larger groups having just as great of a time. there known for their brick oven pizza, which is what we ordered and it was definitely not a let down. I would recomend this place to anyone looking for a quick bit or a nice dinner, great food and service. I will definitely be going back.
Good, basic Italian. Wouldn't recommend straying far from predictable dishes.
Who goes to Belleville for good pizza? There's pizza everywhere you look. Pizza wars on every corner. And pasta? Everyone and their mother (and mother's mother) makes good pasta.
Well, maybe but honey, when the waitress says "people like us for our sauces" and "our pizza is really pretty good" you can believe her. Creamy Alfredo with mushroom ravioli ... home made. Fig and onion pizza. It's also a sports bar, and I am so NOT a sports bar gal but ... the game was rather interesting. What can I say?
Great late night hours -- and reasonable! If this was Brooklyn or Manhattan the prices would be 50% higher and the NY Times would be doing a cameo. Go now before they find it.
Although making a reservation a week in advance, when we arrived there was no table set up for us. We had to wait a long time for drink and food service, they were simply unprepared for the large crowd.
We found this place through open table and thought let's give it a try! The food was great. We got fig and cheese pizza to die for, ago tuna, ravioli, chicken park, cannoli, carrot cake, and a pitcher of sangria all great, the server was wonderful, we even met the owner! Def will go back.
The food was excellent and the staff was very attending. Generous food portions for the price point.
