Brix 25 Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
This was our first visit to Brix 25º in what will become our new home town in a few months! My fiancé and I enjoyed our early arrival in the small but nice bar. We had a very friendly barkeeper who was a pleasure to chat with while we waited for our dining reservation time. What was nice was that we were greeted at the bar with two complimentary glasses of sparking wine...a nice touch! We skipped appetizers at the bar wanting to save our appetite for dinner.
We were seated on time and the restaurant was relatively full for a Saturday night. Our server initially came and greeted us with another two glasses of sparkling wine and took our salad order then disappeared. Although our dishes were brought out in a timely manner by the servers, our server just sort of...disappeared. After we finished our salad (grilled Romain Caesar salad...really good), we waited and waited for our waitress to appear.. No luck. We eventually flagged down another server who kindly took our order. We had two entries (Thai Coconut & Curry Steamed Mussels and Shrimp El Diablo) both of which were quite good. After our plates were cleared there was another long wait for our waitress...finally she came and took our desert order. We split the Affogato al Cafe which was also nice.
In general a nice place and I suspect one of the fancier restaurants in Gig Harbor. They are planning on moving closer to the harbor itself within the next few months - apparently to a larger space with perhaps a better view and some outdoor dining opportunities. We were a bit disappointed in our particular server as we saw other ones taking good care of their diners...but we’ll come back for a second visit when we move up there this summer!
The Pride of South Sound! Brix 25 offers South Sound’s finest creatively inspired cuisine along with the broadest selection of Northwest wines to be found anywhere. Fairly priced menu and wine list. Consistently excellent service.
After reading reviews on OpenTable and other food sites, I was expecting a lot more. The restaurant is quiet and cozy and the service was excellent. They have a large and varied wine list.
While the menu is relatively sparse, there is some variety. However, the food was just OK; nothing spectacular and VERY sparse portions on everything, especially considering the prices.
While everything was tasty (but not exceptional), overall, we felt it was a poor value because of the very small portions.
Our visit was a letdown. We arrived at 6:30pm. We enjoyed our appetizer. However it was a memory by the time we got our meals. It took over 45 minutes for our entrees to arrive; a New York steak and beef Bourguignon. Neither of which should have taken 45 minutes unless the kitchen was backed up. If so, we were not informed of the delay. It would have helped. When our meals arrived it was apparent that one meal (beef B) had been sitting under the heat lamp long enough for some of the drizzle to dry and stick to the plate. We were disappointed overall.
Brix is a delightful local bistro on the harbor. The menu is full of creative blends of both protein and vegetables. The root vegetables are freshly prepared and often combined with unexpected flavors. The wine selection is amazing along with the complementary glass of champagne! The ambiance is cozy and you feel far away from hectic lifestyles.
The experience was great I took my girlfriend here for her birthday and they were super friendly and food was delicious. Lindsey our server was awesome and made the experience that much better my girlfriend really liked how friendly she was and professional.
Brix 25 is one of our favorite Gig Harbor restaurants and we have been coming here since it opened. Thad and Katie offer wonderfully interesting and tasty food combinations, always keeping it innovative and delicious!
This is our kids' (24 and 22) favorite place to come as a family and can now enjoy the craft cocktails and extensive wine list with us. The service is always attentive without being obtrusive. Everything is great from the asparagus risotto to the Grilled Romaine to the delicious entrees including the new Halibut offering. Desserts are just the right size to enjoy and even share if you just want a bit of something sweet to top off a wonderful meal!
Brix 25 was a delightful place to dign. Everyone was extremely pleasant even though they were dealing with our rowdy party of ten. The waitress described specials and desserts in exceptionally great detail that made you drool a little. Even though they were mostly out of their special we weren't disappointed. Overall I am looking forward to dinning here again.
First time here and enjoyed our evening. Excellent server was attentive and friendly; we BYO’d and when she saw we had brought in a very nice bottle she offered a decanter and said that she’d get their nicer stems for us. Recognized that one of us wasn’t enjoying an appetizer, which she offered to replace (we declined) and was removed from our bill. Boeuf Bourguignon was a little overly-caramelized on the outside but was nicely prepared with a rich, flavorful sauce. Wife’s halibut over black rice was excellent, as were the Thai Coconut mussels, though this wasn’t our daughters’ favorite preparation.
Breads were good as were the unique butters offered. Would definitely return here in the future
