Brix25 has moved locations. The old building is by far a lot better. The new location seems more like a modern day bar with some tables. Too noisy because there’s barely any room to be away from people. The staff was excellent and the food was ok. The menu has changed and isn’t as good as it was. I’m very disappointed. It’s basically a fancier Applebee’s
Very nice new location, however "Very Loud", not sure if it is all the hard surfaces or the very "energetic foursome" who were extremely loud. The wait staff kept apologizing and 4 other couples asked to be reseated in other areas to avoid the noise they were making. People should be able to enjoy them selves, so hopefully something can be done about the noise.
This was the "soft opening week" so maybe its just trying to figure it out... food was good, and great wine selection. We will be back... hopefully to a quieter table
Brix used to be my favorite restaurant in the Tacoma area. They moved recently and their new location is now a typical overpriced hipster bar. They are no longer white tablecloth... their few tables are cheap and wobbly and very close together. There isn’t anything in the new space to absorb sound, so it’s extremely loud and since the tables are so close together, good luck having a personal conversation. The menu has changed quite a bit, but the prices are still that of a white tablecloth restaurant. Very poor experience 😫
The old place was very good, the new location is a huge upgrade. Updated menue, with great seafood options, looking forward to return visit. We happened to hit Thursday half price wine night, made it all that much better.
Food was excellent but the new restaurant is far too noisy for a high end dining experience. Hopefully sound dampening measures will be undertaken to recapture the ambiance of their former location.
New location for Brix and it is beautiful! Awesome food, beautiful setting and outstanding service!
Took my wife here for her birthday. We’ve had many special celebratory dinners here and it’s always great in every aspect. It’s definitely our go to special night out restaurant close to home.
I wanted to try this place before they moved to their new location. Glad I did. Had a wonderful meal and made immediate reservation for their opening night on April 12.
Wonderful place to go. We look forward to the new waterfront location!
Two of us went to try the Gig Harbor Waterfront Alliance special dinner menu. We enjouyed the glass of complimentary sparkling wine. The bread was too salty and had some kind of hot pepper on the top, and both of the butters were hot / spicy. The Dinner 1: cambozola with pear chutney on toast was tasty, and the spicy Thai mussels were plentiful and very good as well. Dinner 2: not a special. ut regular entree garlic tiger prawns were very garlicky and a little spicy, good polenta underneath, and plain corn succotash was good. The vanilla gelato scoops were much needed after all the unexpectedly seasoned food. All that siad, the ambiance is lovely, and the service is impeccable.
Really nice dinner for the last time at the current location. We can’t wait for the new place, see you soon!!
Eh, ok. I’ve been here before and we loved it. Waited an hour this time for food but my filet was perfect. Still waiting on the appetizer/starter for 2 days now.
Superb steak, great friendly on top of it service, tasty red vino, First time but definitely headed back again!
We sat in the lounge. The complimentary glass of champagne to start the night is a very nice touch. My wife is not a cocktail drinker but heard that all of the cocktails here are great. She had 2 different cocktails and loved them both! I am a beer drinker and although their selection was small, they had Aslam's pale which is a fantastic beer so I was happy. Service was great - timely but not overbearing.
The big downer was that I ordered the NY strip. It was cooked fine but hardly any seasoning to it. I'm looking for a nice crust of salt and pepper on my steak but there was none. My wife had a bite of my steak and instantly responded that I cook a better steak. Not what you want for $33.
We'll be back but I will be having something other than steak.
Took my parents and a dear friend for a birthday dinner! We were all thrilled with dishes we selected! The blue cheese wedge salad and the Brix Signature Boeuf Bourguignon. We were greated with lovely white linens and a glass of champagne!
We were in Gig Harbor at an AirBnB for a couple of nights and Brix 25 seemed to be the obvious choice (based on reviews and recommendations) for a nice dinner. It definitely lived up to expectations. We were greeted with a glass of prosecco (as is everyone of age, one assumes), which was a great touch. Service was very attentive and prompt. Food was delicious, fresh, regionally inspired, and sensibly proportioned. The totally tubular (in the shape sense, though in the beach-guy sense too) chocolate creme brulee was fantastic. Actually, I think it was technically a truncated cylindrical solid, but tubular worked better for the previous sentence. Also, if you're in Gig Harbor in the morning, go to Brix' sister restaurant Netshed No. 9 for a great breakfast.
Just a great place to have a flavorful dinner, with lots of options and great Service ..
Totally enjoyed ourselves 😊
We really like Brix 25. We've been customers since they opened. Love the complimentary glass of champagne on every single visit, it's a nice touch no one else does. We ate there last Friday night. The food was exceptional (we had the pork and filet mignon). The service was impeccable! The only thing we would suggest, (even though the menu is great) would be for those of us who are regulars, to change up the menu. Maybe some fresh fish once in a while or a staple pasta on the menu...otherwise, we'll be back again, and again, and again....
Food was great, service very good, nice ambiance. Worth the trip across the bridge.
Friday evening seating at 5:00pm. We were seated promptly as only three other tables were being used at the time. They bring every diner a complementary flute of champagne to start off your meal. Our waitress was very friendly and offered good suggestions. I started with my favorite spicy margarita, the Smokin' Sweet Rita. Delicious! I order the Beef Bourg... (a specialty here) and my wife ordered the lobster ravioli. The beef bourg. was so tender and the sauce was magnificent. The my wife loved the lobster ravioli, she wished there were more of them but it was only offered as an appetizer. The waitress said the restaurant would be moving in a couple weeks to a waterfront location. Then they'll have a view to go with their amazing food. Perfect!
This restaurant always has wonderful PNW food, wines and great service!
Recommended to us by a friend for my husband's birthday. We love trying new things and the bone marrow appetizer was right up our alley. Our entrees were delicious too. Wine selection was great. Service was on point. Prices are reasonable. Will definitely be back.
Absolutely fabulous cuisine. Exquisite. The service was super, too....very professional, friendly, customer-centric. Making a point to return in 3 months! (I would go sooner, but live far enough away that it's not practical to do so!)
Service impeccable, but disappointed that with so many open tables we were sat next to a group which was noisy, and talking at a level at which we should have asked to be reseated. Particularly considering the meal cost and expectations of an upscale establishment. Presentation was excellent, and cocktails were creative and very good. Nice touch with a glass of champagne to lead off. If we were to dine here again, we would be most inclined to be specific about where we sit and more enjoy ourselves.
We always enjoy dinning here. Great food and excellent service!
Very good service. Warm ambiance. Friendly staff from start to finish. Ample parking. Innovative and delicious menu
The service from the staff was excellent however portion size was quite small for the price. $31 for an 8 ounce New York is a little bit high in my book. The noise the weather was quite high however that something I know it's out of your control of the management. We were celebrating my parents 52nd anniversary and the staff went out of their way to make my parents feel like it was a special event, which it was.
Outstanding in every respect. Impeccable service, lovely ambiance, delicious and artfully prepared food that is truly memorable. Incredible wine list as well. This is without a doubt the very best restaurant in Gig Harbor -- and beyond. We are recent transplants from the SF Bay Area and Brix 25 is the best Seattle-area restaurant we have tried bar none.
We had the early seating on Valentines Day.
Our Server was attentive and described our options and answered all our questions clearly and with a caring attitude.
Food was delicious......just the right size portions....with flavors tantalizing the taste buds.
Looking forward to coming back again....and soon!
friendly service. great grilled caesar and wedge salad.
trout was excellent as was the filet. good wine selection.
Consistently great service and creative entrees! Beef dishes are especially nice as is the wine selection, ambience is simple and comfortable.
Wonderful experience. Food was delicious.
Great dinner with great service. Always a wonderful experience!
Typically I enjoy the chefs interesting combinations and ways ingredients are put together. I chose a special I didn’t really care for bit the waitress was more thAn willing to change if I wanted. Nice add with the sparkling wine at the outset. Fancy butters fun little extras.
Lovely evening, fantastic food, exceptional service! Would recommend for a delightful, delicious meal.
Originally this was a fabulous restaurant but it has gone downhill. The bread was cold and stale. Not as good as it has been in the past.
Bad the beef tenderloin with small prawns, scalloped potatoes and creamed spinach and it was amazing. We split the soup as starter and it was A M A Z I N G! Great food and service as always. We love 💕 this restaurant.
Salads and entrees just not very tasty though presented in a fancy (stacked)(expensive)(trying too hard) way. I'd rather just have delicious food. The meat and seafood were fine but the accompanying vegetables tasted poorly. Disappointing.
Service was friendly though a bit rushed. Wine & cocktails were very good. Bread was good.
Overall a poor value. We hadn't been in a long time and won't likely return.
Everything about our experience was beyond my expectations. The service was great and the food was all amazing. This is definitely a great date spot and was well worth the drive!
Wonderful attentive staff with a fabulous menu. Thank you!
