We were fortunate to slip in just before the rush. Our fried pickles were ok but seemed like they’d been frozen—too bad because the two sauces that accompanied them were good. Our salads were good quality. My husband enjoyed his beer. The Rose was not good but the Chardonnay was fine. Not bad fir the money but go somewhere else if you have time.

Good pub food. Not sure I’d call it British but service was good and food tasty. Good for a casual meal. A bit pricey for what you get though.

Seated at a high top table in the bar area as we had requested. Waitress very efficient and took our drinks order promptly. Gave us plenty of time to study the menu, both opting for Rueben sandwiches, one with turkey and the other pastrami. Nice to have the options of sides, one chose onion rings (yummy!) and the other was the mixed vegetable of the day with a nice combination of broccoli, beans, and carrots. Bar area cleared out after the NE Patriots lost the football game to Pittsburgh. Fun bar with good food and right next door to our hotel, very convenient.

We were seated promptly and then they forgot about us. After 15 minutes, my husband went and got menus but it still took another 10 minutes for our first encounter with our server. She was super nice and did her best to provide for us and we have nothing negative to report about her. But the hostesses up front, mind you our table was right next to the hostess stand, let us sit that was for almost half an hour while they giggled and gossiped. The restaurant game is high stakes and BBP is going to have to step it up if they want to make it here long term.

The experience was a disaster. We waited nearly 1.5 hours for our meal. The inexperienced and ill equipped server, gabby, said it was bc there was a big party and several tickets ahead of ours. So? When meal arrived food was cold. Manager did not tend to us until it was too late. So bad they tore up our bill (5 people). Really inexcusable attitude and service.

The waitress was very nice. Food came after a long wait and we were told that part of my food was lost. They offered to make another meal which I did not want. They offered me a discount and took $2 off my meal. We would not go again.

In the midst of the current phenomenon whereby all bars seem to carry 75 different beers, many on tap, the British Beer Company could be said to boast a reasonably strong list of traditional beer choices, with something of an international flare. The decor and ambiance are inviting, and the food decent. Much like the emphasis on the establishment, the best food we had were the appetizers, i.e. bar food, like the pretzels and fried mozzarella. We were here two nights in a row, once for beers and the second night for a quick dinner before a show. Service was pretty spotty, though not outright bad, with some servers genuinely interested in what they were doing and others considerably less so. The vibe is decidedly middle-age and family, but then again the energy is probably better after 7 p.m. It is handy to the Hampton Inn, on the way to everything, and a fun spot to down a pint (or four), and so would happily recommend.
