Enjoyed our first visit to the rooftop at BBC. I was a little disappointed that there wasn't much of a view - guess I imagined glass fencing and no roof. All that aside, we had a really nice experience. Enjoyed some craft cocktails and six small plates. Everything was perfectly created, plated and presented. Oysters, tuna poke, sashito peppers, calamari, and a very delicious golden beet salad with burrata. We had truffle fries for "dessert". Great early evening dining - felt safe outside. All the staff were exceptional including our waiter, Matthew. Thanks BBC
The roof top dining area is very attractive but with limited menu options.
Great setting on roof top. Service uneven because different servers would come ask for he same service. Lobster roll bun could be less toasted
This restaurant is was amazing and exactly what my husband and I needed for a date night on vacation. The servers are clearly professionals and the food preparation and presentation was top notch. Would absolutely recommend.
We wanted to get out for our anniversary and not to a place where you had to stand in line to order. We wanted to be waited on. We’ve really missed that this year. I found British Bankers Club. The rooftop dining was lovely and the weather was perfect. They have a great specialty cocktail menu and a decent wine selection. The starters were varied and delicious from the deviled eggs to the poke tuna to the beet & burrata salad. They gave us a complimentary olive cake with raspberry sauce creme fresh and candied pistachios for dessert. It was heavenly. But our server Mehran made it special. He was attentive, engaging and just delightful. We definitely want to bring friends when it’s safe again.
I loved the place, the food and the people. I will come back there for sure!
Great rooftop dinner during covid. We enjoyed the lobsters flown in from Maine. Yum!!
Roof top bar is fun. Get reservations in by Tues for Friday. Highly recommend.
Dinner was delicious. Service was terrific. Our waiter was very pleasant and accommodating. There was five of us and he graciously agreed to give us separate cheeks. It was a beautiful warm evening and we sat on the rooftop terrace. Great selection of mixed drinks, wine and beer. The hamburger I ordered was very tasty.
A marvelous evening! Didn't want to leave. They are also very conscientious about safety measures due to the pandemic.
The lobster night was excellent! We enjoyed it and highly recommend.
Delicious lobster dinner on the Rooftop. Great atmosphere, attentive service all made for a lovely evening . Would go back
Another outstanding Lobster Night celebration at BBC. Not really celebrating anything special except this lobster.
We loved it! The food was inspired! The service was superb. The company excelled! We will be back!
Had so much potential! They had a lobster special night, which is cool but no other options. Lobster is yummy but variety would have been great. It didn’t taste particularly special either! I was looking forward to enjoying their regular menu on the rooftop :( I will try again though because the ambiance was awesome!
The Food was excellent....particularly the soup! The lobster was quite nice but as with any lobster.... I wanted more. I went with traditional steamed .... next time I will go with the Grilled and see if that satiates me better.
The maître d' was most excellent, friendly, informative and attentive. The server we had was seemingly rushed and overwhelmed at times and moving a bit too fast. A relaxed server makes for a relaxed guest....a stressed server makes for a stressed guest....
Very nice spot. We were hoping to get on the roof deck but it was booked for a private event ..... but we will be back.
After earlier plans feel through for my wife's birthday celebration, we were fortunate to get a reservation on a Saturday night at the British Banker's Club's upstairs patio. This is a very nicely appointed space with full raw seafood and cocktail bars. The table (and weather) could not have been better, but the service and food were amazing! Our server, Matthew, introduced us to the several selections on their Saturday Lobster Night menu.
It was a celebration, so we started with some of the best Martinis we've had in a while. These were so good we almost had two, but we opted for wine instead as they offer paired wines on the dinner menu but also have a very approachable wine list. For dinner, my wife really wanted Salmon on her birthday and Matthew was able to work with the kitchen to my wife's delight! We all enjoyed delicious raw oysters followed by Lobster Cocktails. I had a whole, grilled lobster and my wife and sister-in-law enjoyed the Salmon which was prepared perfectly. Others in our party had the Lobster pasta which was also quite good though smallish (but perfect if ordered along with the Lobster Cocktail or other salad) and the Lobster Roll which was made without mayonnaise and offered a satisfying lobster flavor!
For dessert, Matthew brought out a Strawberry Shortcake with a birthday candle! It was a great finish to a wonderful meal! We can't thank everyone at BBC enough for all their great service and wonderful dinner!
Overall really nice experience. Easy to get reservation. Menu on the smaller side but many great options and a good wine list. Staff doing all they can to keep things safe. We sat on the roof deck and it was lovely.
I've always seen this place going to church or difference locations and I've always wanted to go. We finally got the opportunity to dine "in" 2 Friday's ago. I loved the rooftop seen and vibe. The staff was extremely nice and took there time explaining the menu. The drinks were top notch but, I felt like the staff could've been a little more descriptive of the drinks. There were a couple of drinks that my sister order that didn't fit the description of the drink. Or, we though the drink would be on ice and it wasn't. However, the majority of the table liked their drinks. For the food, it was really tasty i just wish they had more options for vegetarians. Overall, I would come back for happy hour vibes.
Food was excellent, very good, from the Amuse Bouche, the appetizers to the dessert.
Service was outstanding.
Thank you, we are coming back for my daughters birthday
It was wonderful to return to August's highlight - the Lobster Dinner on the roof.
Filet minon was thin but flavorful. Wish cur had been thicker for price.
Patio dining was refreshing
They had closed the rooftop due to poor air quality. The downstairs patio was reasonably inviting, with fine views of the bank building. The interiors are impressive - would be fun to dine in when that resumes.
Service was friendly though a bit casual and distracted. The drinks are named imaginatively but the ingredients are not much so. We ordered four drinks which varied from decent to meh. Pricey for mediocre cocktails.
For appetizers, we got the BBC salad, avocado tempura tacos and calamari. Salad was unimpressive (couldn’t find any watermelon radish!). Tacos were very good. Calamari was also nice and crisp. Portions were all too small tough, again making this a pricey affair.
For mains, we got the Maine lobster and Portobella mushroom steak. These were pretty good. They didn’t serve bread but when we asked, they brought some.
Dessert was panda cotta — they didn’t say it would be chocolate flavored and served like a mousse.
All in all, food was tasty but portions were small for the price. Drinks were mediocre and pricey. Service was friendly but too casual. Ambience is nice. Would be worth a repeat visit.
Very cute place for a date. Food was tasty and drinks were on point. Tiny gripe - the grilled lobster was a bit on the dry side. It made me wonder if it was left over from a previous night or just overcooked. Either way, the wait staff was very attentive and friendly. We’d come back again to try out more food. Was a big fan of the lobster roll.
Great diner outside by the sidewalk! The food was very good. The burgers were very generous and tasty. I also have to mention the perfect crisp of the fries. I had one and my kids (11-12yo) shared one as well. My wife ordered the salmon and she was very happy with her selection, how it was prepared and cooked.
The adults enjoyed interesting and refreshing cocktails. I closed with a very good Milk Chocolate Panna Cotta.
Since all guests must be 21yo to be on the rooftop terrace, we still check it out, and there was more people (2 persons tables). It was still quiet and had a nice atmosphere.
Booked a late reservation on the rooftop for lobster night. They called twice during the day to confirm reservation, we confirmed our reservation. When we arrived they claimed to be running really late and sat us outside for 45 mins!! Also, offered us drinks as we waited, but charged us! They could have called to let us know that they were nearly an hour behind schedule, and a couple of complimentary drinks would have been a good gesture. Lobster night is fun, food is decent, waiters are great, the management....not sure.
We had made reservations for rooftop dining for Saturday lobster night. these reservations were made 2 weeks in advance and they called that Saturday morning to tell me they didn’t have a table for the rooftop to accommodate us.
That was the first disappointment, how could you not accommodate a reservation that you knew was made 2 weeks in advance for two people?
We ended up getting seated in the side patio outside downstairs.
When the food arrived the corn on the cob was lukewarm and it should have been hot. The Lobster was warm and should have been hot.
The propane tank ran out for the heater and we got cold and it was not replaced even though they told us it was getting replaced it never happened.
Next, they were really stingy with regard to the bread that came with the meal. we each got one roll and they didn’t even ask if we wanted more bread.
The Lobster itself was good, but would have been better if it was served hot!
Everything was outstanding! The food was fresh and crisp, the flavors were out-of-this-world, and the service was fantastic! I'd give more than 5 stars if I could. The rooftop patio is enchanting. Would definitely go back.
We went for the lobster special and had a great experience. We felt very safe with the tables far apart and excellent wait people. The rooftop was a delight.
We felt rushed as we had to be done by 6:30 for the next reservation even though the delay was with service and getting our coffee in a timely manner.
Lobster night was fantastic! So happy to sit up on the beautiful rooftop
It was very nice. The service was excellent and the food was very good. Definitely an improvement from our last dinner a couple of years ago. The roof top definitely adds to the atmosphere.
Fabulous! The service was fantastic thank you !
I like our waiter Diana, attentive and sweet. The food is decent, bread could be more substantial , varieties, and better. My cocktail was on the flavor-thin side, not much pineapple flavor as i was expecting. Music is a bit too loud on the rooftop so we picked patio. Diana is a keeper for your restaurant.
The lobster Saturday night is an experience that will make the whole world melt away and feel normal again! The lobster sandwich was WOW, the whole lobster was perfection. Can’t wait to have something to celebrate so we can have an excuse to come back.
The food is great and the service prompt. They handle all the restrictions around dining out well. The lobster, burgers and Paella were all fantastic.
Fantastic experience eating at the Lobster Night event on the rooftop. I'm not even a big lobster fan (my wife is), but everything was excellent. One of the best dining experiences we've had during the pandemic, but this would score highly even in normal times.
Great experience for the adults and kids, alike.
The patio was not a pleasant experience. We shared a whole lobster, a bbc green salad and a lobster cocktail. All the dishes were very good. Sharing a whole lobster was a better value compared to two half lobsters. Service was ok.
The BBC has a really nice set up on the roof. The tables were spaced far apart and all the staff wore masks. It felt so nice to be out, and feel safe at the same time. The food was excellent. We were there on lobster night, and the lobster was really fresh and tasty. They also have a very nice selection of wine and cocktails. The feeling in the place is not stuffy or super fancy. I felt perfectly comfortable in a summer dress. In fact, I felt like I was in Hawaii, enjoying a nice meal outdoors!
