Bristol Seafood + Steak + Social
Very busy post workday/pre-concert crowd. Still had a great time.
First time. It was pricey but everything we had was superb. From apps to wine to dinner. Very well prepared. Service was very friendly and attentive when needed. Definitely headed back.
Plank Steak was not done correctly and the spouts, were actually shells and not actual sprouts like we thought. One of my Favorite dishes but was disappointed aborted the steak/ sides, but overall not bad on other items
Great server Alex M. And food!
Had a wonderful date night at the Bristol! The crab cakes, Caesar salad, filet, scallops, and rolls were fantastic!
Dinner with our daughter and husband before going to see Hamilton.
Dined at the Power & Light District location on July 7th, 2019 prior to a theater performance. Food was great (the Lobster Bisque is to die for), specialty cocktail was very tasty. Our waiter was not the best. He was very young and seemed to be inexperienced. Did not come back at the end of our meal to bring our check and we had to get the hostess to hunt him down despite having told him were going to the theater. Then he couldn't process the "buy one entree, get one entree free" birthday coupon that Bristol had sent me. It took a good 15-20 minutes for him to process the check. Then we were having to hustle up the hill to get to the Music Hall in time for the performance. Irritating.
Delicious food, great location, and good service. I definitely plan on returning.
My husband and I truly enjoyed our evening before the theater. Cassandra was wonderful as was the entire experience!! We absolutely love the changes in the menu.
Fresh seafood well prepared. Service was prompt and attentive.
Loved Bristol. The food was cooked perfectly, and the service was great.
Great time! Great food. The Halibut was awesome!
Outstanding service. Both my wife and I loved our food selections. Good-sized servings well cooked. We eat at one of the Bristol restaurants as often as possible. We never have been disappointed.
Service was deplorable. I will not be going back and I would not recommend.
The scallops prepared in the lemongrass method were outstanding as was the accompanying spinach side.
We received complementary dessert in celebration of our anniversary, too.
The appetizer's, entrees were delicious and the wait staff including the valet were friendly and professional! One little side note on the chicken camponelle; it was extra heavy on the butter, so a little too rich.. however the seasoning and flavor were exceptional.
Seafood was amazing. Pork chop was good. Service is not super polished but is adequate. From valet, to hostess, to server. One of the hostesses was barely audible and not especially friendly. That’s an area they could strengthen to really make it an outstanding dining experience. My seafood platter was a perfect 10! It’s about the seafood for me and they really nail that!
Our waiter, Damian, was OUTSTANDING! He was attentive without being overbearing. He seemed to know the perfect time to stop by our table. The food was delicious, as usual. Love the new menu items.
Best seafood in Kansas City. The prices are high. Dinner for 4 with 2 drinks each can get over $300 after tip.
The brunch was good. Nice place and good service. At the carving station, the ham and prime rib were seriously overdone; there was no additional meat in the kitchen cooked to a medium or medium rare temp.
It was good overall. The prime rib was a little over done for my liking. Overall a great experience.
Bristol brunch is our favorite! The food is always delicious and the service is great.
It was fabulous. Outstanding selection of seafood and all other food.
Great experience for our anniversary. They even gave us a free champagne toast to celebrate!
Dinner was terrific. The restaurant was slammed with Hamilton theatre goers at the dinner hour on a Saturday night so food was slow to arrive but the wait staff was most apologetic. The food was delicious and the service was first class!
The oysters Rockerfeller were perfectly done and served with a bit of a flair. The scallops were perfectly seared and tender. The carrot cake is absolutely delicious. I highly recommend the Bristol.
Steak was under cooked with little flavor. The wife got the maple salmon, she noted not much different than regular salmon.
We sat outside, and it was very tranquil and enjoyable. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary, and everything was amazing. Perfectly prepared and timed so we could enjoy each dish. Thank you, Bristol, for an amazing night!
Very little lobster in the lobster bisque-but very tasty. The filet was disappointing-not a great cut of meat. The lava cake (I think that was its name) looked like a big macaron-was just okay. GF had a salade with a basil ice cream dressing-amazing. She had crab cakes-very good. She had a peanut butter chocolate dessert- very good. We had a Bordeaux Sauvignon Blanc. It was slightly better than a run-of-the-mill SB. At $40+, not a very good value. Two prix fixe meals with a bottle of wine approaching $200 (with tip), it was a bit expensive for what it was.
Even with reservations, we were seated in the bar area which was also hosting a (noisy) private party. Dinner was OK but not a great value.
Food and service was outstanding Cassie our waitress was so funny and knowledgeable
The dining experience at the Bristol was an exceptional beginning to a wonderful night (at theater to see Hamilton). Every aspect of our visit was beyond expectations. We all different entrees and they were 'the best'. Not many rate the coffee, but i'm particular about my coffee. It was fresh, hot and tasteful. This was not our first time to the Bristol, and will not be our last. We look forward to a return visit during KC Restaurant Week 2020.
Best filet mignon we have ever tasted! Delicate texture & great flavor. Shrimp cocktail generous, meaty, & we enjoyed the choice of traditional cocktail sauce and something creamy. The Prix-fixe meals were a good value. Flavorful strawberry sorbet and creme brûlée ended a great dinner. Server was quite thoughtful, asking if we were attending the theater, so she could help us with a time-line.
Food was wonderful, service from the kitchen was a little slow.
Overall good experience!
This was the best brunch food that I have had in a long time, including a great variety of food items to select. Great customer service! keep up the great work!
Many of the plates for the buffet were dirty and had to be set aside. There wasn’t a huge variety on the buffet, which made it ordinary.
They were definitely not prepared for how busy this night would be with Hamilton Playing.
We were seated right away since we had reservations but they did not get my husbands meal right food took forever to come out. They did not bring an abundance of biscuits around like they are known for doing so we were a little disappointed. When your bill is over three hundred dollars, they should of done something for one dinner being wrong and how long it took to be replaced.
We have gone here often. The dinner I had was not their best. It was one of the specials and the fish was over cooked. It simply fell apart, so the dipping sauces were useless. The fish was on the plate, topped with couscous, then a vinegar salad on top. Everything was simply piled on top of another and difficult to eat separately. If I have a side, I want it on the side, not on top. There were four of us dining, and all four entrees came out at separate times. Mine was last, and at least 5 minutes after the first one. Not our best diner. Our server was great, but couldn't overcome the kitchen that night.
We have loved this restaurant since it opened. It maintains the same quality service, outstanding food and a great buzz no matter when you go.
