Food was cold, steak was raw inside , then overcooked when came back . Pork tough .
Service was great
The food and service were great. Very friendly staff! We had a Bloody Mary, that was not very good, very watery. Other than that, we enjoyed our meal very much!
Wonderful place for a date night!
Dinner with friends, good food, excellent service. Felt safe with their Covid protocol. Nice and quiet, made for good conversation.
We always enjoy the food at the Bristol - good food at a reasonable price.
All three entrees were delicious and served at the correct temperature. The Green Chili Wantons were superb as always. Our server was friendly, efficient and not annoying. Dessert was the perfect end to a pleasant evening.
Its very comfortable. We just had burgers and really enjoyed them. Server was terrific. It was a really nice, comfortable Sunday afternoon stop.
Birthday
It was a wonderful dinner.
Super service and consistent good food
Impromptu lunch. Cindy started out waiting on me, and Wade took over. Did a good job! The remodeling looks great!
Looking forward to dining with you again
Sorry, the food was just really bad. The plate was too hot to touch and the potatoes were cold. Burger was just blah and the NY strip was about 1/2 in. Expected better quality.
This restaurant is definitely our go to restaurant where we can count on getting a great meal, wonderful service and fair prices.

Valentine’s Day
We had our first date here 20+ years ago.... and it’s STILL one of our favorite locations. Great food, reasonable prices, great and reasonable wine selection, and lovely atmosphere. An oldie but goody for sure!!
Not the Bristol we remember, outside of the artichoke fritters. $25 for a NY strip and it was horrible for that price, think Mexican restaurant steak quality...... definitely not a well aged prime cut of meat, and definitely not worth the price.
It has been a while since I had been in a restaurant, but Bristol came through with a great meal!
You cannot go wrong when choosing the Bristol Bar & Grill!
This is the best restaurant in Louisville for quality of food, price, service and ambiance. The food was delicious, the service was impeccable and the champagne and dessert for our anniversary was much appreciated. We've always come here for brunch, but will now come here to dinner several times a month. We love it here!
Quality food at a very reasonable price. One of our main spots to celebrate birthdays, graduations etc.
WE HAD A BLAST! 10/10 EXPERIENCE!
Always impressed with their food & service
Great experience but too friendly Server forgot social distancing a few times
Great service and followed Covid guidelines! Very clean & tables & chairs thoroughly cleaned between diners. Been going to Bristol for 40 years for green chili wontons & filet mandarin...never disappoints!
The Bristol is always consistent.
Consistent professional servers
Consistent great food
Consistent great experience
We do not typically decide to eat at the Bristol, however every time we have eaten there, we have enjoyed our experience. This was New Years Eve and somewhat special. It was a very enjoyable experience and the food was well prepared.
Wonderfully redecorated and clean!
They were at capacity and we felt safe!
A wide variety of menu items, great drinks and food!
Service was very attentive including the Manager frequenting our table.
Please dine here and support our local restaurants!!
At 50 % capacity felt safe, socially distant. Remodel was nice. Server was attentive and food delicious
Appetizers were great, steaks very overcooked, yet Luke warm, and small. Just not a great meal. Sorry.
Service slow but food great. No refills etc.
The Bristol East is always awesome! Food and service excellent. Highly recommend.
everything was great!
Experience was very disappointing. We had been to another bristol earlier this year and the green chili wontons were amazing. At this bristol they were ok, like the rest of the food was just okay. Service was quite slow but friendly. We seemed to wait for refills, and when I got my food I wanted salt. We didn't see the waiter again until my wife was done with her meal and I was almost done with mine. The manager was carrying food, and in the middle of the restaurant he yelled over 2 tables for a waiter to come help him. Just didn't seem professional. Overall nothing was terrible, but it didn't live up to what we were expecting and nothing stood out as good. We see no reason in returning.
We gathered there for an extended family meal during COVID. Service was good and the prices were in line with the quality of the food. Nothing spectacular about the quality or the presentation of the things we offered, but a nice place for lunch. I'm sure the limited menu and unpredictable demand impacted this visit. I'd like to return under much more normal conditions and try it again.
White tablecloths, a variety of foods, and knowledgeable waitresses.
Bristol is always great.
We were not impressed. The restaurant was dirty. The furnishings were old and in need of replacement. The bathroom floor was sticky. This being the condition of the areas viewed by the public no telling what the kitchen looked like.
We started with a waiter who's look of disappointment was obvious when we didn't order drinks. He was one of those waiters who didn't write down our order. Of course, he had to come back and ask what we ordered. One plate of food delivered to our table was not ours. Oh, by the way, this is one of those places which puts the suggested tip size on your check. That's cool, but their suggestions start at 18% and go up.
Now for food. We started with the Fried Calamari which was flat and had very little taste and was greasy. I had the Bristol fish sandwich. It had very little taste as well. The tartar sauce just missed the mark. (That could just be my personal taste.) I'm sure the Bristol coleslaw came out of a tub either from Sysco or Gordon's Food Service. I have to say it was the best thing on my plate. My wife had the a salad and the grilled salmon Teriyaki which was just a piece of grilled salmon with heaps of Teriyaki sauce pour all over it. She didn't finish hers. My son had the crab cakes with a salad. The crab cakes were as flat as a flitter as were their taste. He's from Maryland and knows what a good crab cake is.
Anyway, this is not a restaurant we would recommend to a friend or you.
A bit disappointed in our last brunch visit--the food was lukewarm especially the fried chicken. Our server was great though.
We made reservations for dinner. When we entered the restaurant, the hostess just stared at us. I greeted her, she did not respond and then she asked if the table we needed was for just two people. We told her we had a reservation and then she seated us. Our server didn't come to our table to greet us for at least 5 minutes which seemed like a long time to me. Our order was taken and we had the Fried Cauliflower. Some pieces were crispy and other pieces were soft. It was an inconsistent dish. I ordered a martini and when it arrived I noticed that I didn't receive a cocktail straw. I requested a straw and it took at least 15 minutes for my server to realize that she hadn't brought it yet. When she brought the straws to me she was holding the cocktail straws in her bare hands as opposed to giving it to me in a napkin. Needless to say, I didn't use the straws. When my dinner arrived, the server (a different person from our original server) forgot to bring my skillet fries with my salad. They said they would go get it but it didn't arrive for at least 10 minutes. When it finally arrived they were cold. I told my server and she said she would take it off the bill and bring me fresh fries right away. I asked her to put it in a to-go box since we were ready to leave. Approximately 10-15 minutes later she still hadn't returned with the fries. We decided to pay the bill and leave as opposed to waiting. Our server was very pleasant and polite but the service, food, etc were so inconsistent that it was difficult to really enjoy our dining experience. I believe they need more training of the serving staff, kitchen staff and hostess so that food is consistent in quality (e.g. temperature-appropriate, good quality deep frying practices, etc) and so that guests have a good experience. I don't plan to return to this restaurant unless I hear of improvement in these items that I have mentioned.
The Restaurant was very accommodating. We moved tables and Maggie was very helpful. She was a great server
Thanks for your compliments! We are lucky to have Maggie in this restaurant. Looking forward on your next visit!!
