The snapper pontchatrain was excellent as was the blackened red fish had by the other three members in our party. I had the Louisiana redfish on the half shell it was great as was the crawfish topping. The lump crab cake Napoleon was simply delicious. You have to try the Ahi Poke,it was a tasty delight. The desert are always a treat.
Our service was great from the front door until we left.

We could not have enjoyed more last nights night’s great dining experience at Briquette! The service was excellent, and the food was outstanding! We loved the sea bass, snapper Pontchartrain, salmon, and the redfish halfshell! The Rockefeller was as good as I ever have had (and it is a favorite!)! The Sazerac cocktail also was outstanding! We look forward to our next visit there! (We live in the New Orleans area; I do not know why my review indicates New England?)

The staff was amazing!! The prices on the menu were not the same as on the website with about a $10.00 increase per entree. The ribeye was seasoned very well but was not cooked to a proper medium rare and was tougher than I expected for $52.00. The sides, brussel sprouts and potato au gratin were AMAZING!!! Not worth a $70.00 check.

AMAZING SERVICE, FOOD AND AMBIANCE - There were (5) of us. As soon as we arrived, we were escorted to our table and the servers pulled out the seats which was a really nice touch. The server, Darrell, was extremely knowledgeable regarding the menu and also provided suggestions. The food was superior! The presentation as well as the flavor was far better than expected!
The waiter was very kind, also he looked like he wasn't aware of all things that need to be taken care of in his tables. I was expecting a lot more from Briquette based on the reviews, some people had a good time. Unfortunately not us the napkins were gross with bigs stains of food, the silverware looked suspiciously dirty, my cocktail was dry and mostly alcoholic. I just wanted a sweet drink. The fried oysters maybe because the fact they were fried they also they were overcooked, the veggies in the base of the red fish I ordered I just couldn't eat them they were rough as grass even though they were cooked
Overall I didn't like the food my experience was not what I expected. I don't think we will go back.
We chose this restaurant because of a Groupon I purchased, plus it was within walking distance of our hotel. Loved the ambiance but the food was definitely lacking. I ordered the pasta Briquette with blackened shrimp. It was bland and not as flavorful as I would have liked. My husband had the Ahi and added shrimp for additional $10. Was told they were jumbo shrimp but they were very small, like the shrimp in my pasta. Our server was nice but we had to ask for water refills multiple times plus there was a fairly long wait for our food with only 2 other patrons dining. Would not recommend and would not return.
Everything was great...
We were celebrating life with our best friends! They live in Texas and we live in Boston so we met in the middle in New Orleans! We felt special at Briquette, especially when the owner gave us a tour of the kitchen. It was exciting, the food was fantastic and fresh! The service was attentive. We would go back!
Another delightful dinner at Briquette! This time we had Tony as our waiter and he was wonderful. He checked on us frequently and could not have been more knowledgeable and efficient.
The pork chop was HUGE and the salmon was cooked perfectly!
The food was top-notch, and the wine and spirits list was out of this world.
Darrell was a great waiter. He made us feel at home and then went above and beyond to deliver a great experience! For example: he checked on us frequently; he delivered a tour of the restaurant and explained the history of the building and its contents; and he took us into a staged area of the the kitchen for a photo opportunity.

The service was quick and helpful. I had a Briquette salad and it pleasing to the eye as well as to the taste. I had the snapper and it was delicious and cooked well. The atmosphere was quiet and relaxed. I would eat here again and would recommend it for anyone.
We enjoyed a pleasant late lunch. Crab cake appetizer was great. Seafood entries were prepared well with flavorful accompaniments that were not overpowering. Chef was very accommodating as one of our guests had a food allergy. Waiter was pleasant with a sense of humor.
If you are looking for good service and great food this is not the place. They open kitchen allows you to watch your food being prepared through the windows- or you can watch the cooks not making your food and instead playing on their phones like we did! They were not busy, and service was slow. Overall it was a disappointing experience.
The server took our drink order, brought my husbands soda, and then took our food order. I get that it takes a little bit when ordering a cocktail from the bar, but we were done with our appetizer before I was served my drink. The Appetizer was good (Scallops).
I also ordered the Crab Bisque. The Sherry was so overpowering it was all I could taste- I took 2 bites and that was it. When the server Assistant asked if I was done with it I said yes. He never asked if it was okay or if I liked it. He just took the full soup cup. I’m guessing this happens a lot.
For my entree I ordered the blackened red fish. The fish was dry and bland. This dish is also served with shrimp, which was cold. (Not warm, but actually has chill to it like it came out of a cooler. I asked my husband to try my fish and said no because he doesn’t like spice. I joked that it wouldn’t be too spicy for him so he tried it, and agreed it was very flavorless and dry. I also only took a few bites of the fish, but did eat the cold shrimp because I was hungry. Once again, service staff cleared away a full plate without asking how everything was. I will say My husband ordered the snapper, which was good. Dessert was good, but for me it wasn’t worth the $230 that it costed for my husband and I to eat. Also - our server was MIA most of the meal and never once checked in between courses to see how the food was.
Disappointing. I ordered the whole branzino based on other reviews And did not care for it. However the service was nice and the chefs Took me into the kitchen to have my picture taken with the fish
The waiter was great! Soup was cold but fish was good!! Compared to most restaurants in New Orleans just average.
Jackie was an excellent waiter! He recommended the chicken gumbo and it was great. The staff were all very friendly and the kitchen staff showed us the different fish on display. Food is excellent and well worth the extra $$.
A nice atmosphere. I also like to being able to watch the chefs in action from our table but it wasn't too obtrusive. Our server was wonderful she was so sweet and attentive. The food was very good.
Opentable allowed me to reserve at a time when the restaurant wasn’t even open. Thankfully, the manager was near and allowed us to come in at a reasonable time. The restaurant is very fancy. You can see the preparation of food thru the glass and the fish looked delicious. I even saw them take a small family behind the glass to choose a fish. The waiter was wonderful. The food wasn’t as great as expected.
