This place if fantastic. We totally enjoyed our meal. It deserves six stars.
The sea scallops and gumbo were delicious. The fish was mushy and fishy. They had high prices and did not have the fine dining experience to go along with their prices. It was loud and not romantic in any way. I wrote on Open Table that is was my birthday and they did absolutely nothing to celebrate. We paid for dessert and they were both awful.
I would suggest eating the sea scallops and gumbo then leaving.
The food quality was not up to standard quality for New Orleans. All severs were amazing and should be working for quality restaurants.
I live in New Orleans and was very excited to try Briquette. I will give it one more chance. Probably try a brunch.

The food and service were top notch!! The Grilled Redfish on the Half Shell was our waiters recommendation and it was amazing!

We had a perfectly enjoyable evening at Briquette. Our server, Darryll was wonderful, made great suggestions and added to the fun of the evening. Great food, if not a bit pricey!
Wonderful location and setting. The food was delicious and plentiful: we both had fish and everything was cooked to perfection. Service was lovely and courteous. We are locals, we will be going back and bringing friends.
This was our 1st visit, and were drawn in by an online menu listing fish in meuniere sauce, one of my husband's favorite dishes. There was no such dish on the menu (we understand that online listings are subject to change). So we asked our server whether the chef could accommodate us. The answer was, "yes!" Husband ordered redfish with the meuniere sauce and I ordered Alaskan halibut with a butter sauce. Food was delivered quickly, but both dishes were over-salted to the point of being inedible. Also, we both ordered crab bisque to start, and it was weird, made with curry and chopped vegetables in addition to the crab. Won't be back.

We tried this place at the suggestion of a server at another area restaurant and brought some clients for dinner. I was a bit concerned when nobody approached our table for at least 10 minutes after we were seated, even though the place was not busy. Our server seemed reluctant to be there. Not terrible; just kind of going through the motions; didn’t refill wine glasses (we had 4 bottles), no conversation, etc. We ordered the Pork Porterhouse and a whole Red Snapper that was good. A couple of our guests ordered the Filet Medallions and Scallops. The Scallops were very good but both of the filets were overdone. Overall, the food was OK and the place has a nice atmosphere but we were underwhelmed.
This was the best food I've ever had! Our server was absolutely amazing. The food was impeccable. My boyfriend had the catfish and I had the shrimp pasta briquette with a glass of wine. Quite literally, this is the best food in all of New Orleans!

Food was excellent and waitstaff was engaged. Very enjoyable.
The food was well prepared and my dish was delicious. My friend didn’t care for the puréed spinach on the oysters. I had the Briquette salad with fresh goat cheese which as delicious! I also had the scallops with the goat cheese grit that I really enjoyed too! I am not a fan of goat cheese but this meal changed my perspective! I will definitely return !!
The food was lovely and the restaurant was quiet. The waiter didn’t seem interested in us and appeared to be in a bad mood.

Our appetizers were great, soups and salads were also nice. Then it all went downhill. We waited for over 30 minutes between second course and entrees. During that time our waitress never stopped by the table or even came close enough for us to signal her. Maybe she knew she screwed up and forgot to put our entrees in?? When the food finally came out our medium pork and steak dishes were burnt and too chewy to eat. The seafood was par.
It was excellent.
There are a lot of creative dishes on the menu, and the portions are generous. I am already looking forward to my next meal there!

Food was good. We loved the scallops. Filet was decent. Service was iffy. Unfriendly and non communicative. He would nod instead of saying yes if I asked him a question. He did come by with water often which I loved. But he was no where to be found when we wanted to leave and we had to wait 10 min before we could flag him over. He had 2 tables and it was a slow night we also sat at our table for almost 10 min before he came over.
Amazing fish dishes! We loved the chargrilled snapper and the pan sautéed snapper with hollandaise!
The crab cake appetizer is fantastic!

Benjamin , our server, was very knowledgeable and attentive.
The service was excellent. Soon as we arrived and got seated, our waiter was at the table with water. It was my first experience at an elegant restaurant but definitely not the last. Everyone was polite and patient. Because I only tried a couple of entrees on the menu, it took a little longer for me to order. My wife loved it, so I can honestly say I finally made an executive decision...
Food and service incredible !
Only complaint we were seated near the bar which had a lot of people and noise and there were plenty empty tables at the other side of the room that were much better. They were available when we came and when we left.

Good spot for lunch in the CBD area. Prices are very good vs. the other lunch spots high dollar plates! Good location, not super crowded for lunch--quick service! Oyster Rockefeller soup was great and innovative, never had it as a soup before!
We were looking for a restaurant near the convention center at last minute. This is an old converted molasses factory. Very nice menu, reasonably priced. Excellent service and drinks as well. Worth a visit.
restaurant real noisy, there were no waiters enough. we waited 15 to 20 min to the waiter. when finally he arrived we order a salad to share as starter, he bought the salad ( the only good dish) with two smaaaalll plates, and without the cutlery, brought fork and forgot the knife... the entire dinner was that. no cutlery, begging attention etc. the main course terrible . the pain perdu.. was really a pain perdu (lost bread in french), hard and dry. never more
