Food was great, but they were out of the first appetizer I ordered and then out of the first entree I ordered. Still the food I did finally get was great. Big, open seating area wasn’t very full, thankfully. If it had been full the noise could have been a problem - acoustics are not good. Service (Phillip) was knowledgeable, pleasant and professional.
AMAZING!! This was my second time since 2019 and it was a pleasure to find that nothing had changed from my last visit. I brought some very special folks for their first visit and Amy (from Baltimore) was astounding, her service blew us away! The food… each bite was full of flavor and was hot and delicious. Thank you for a great time!!
Excellent food in a nice atmosphere
We were seated promptly and our waiter was attentive without being obtrusive. The food was excellent, the wine list all encompassing. The owner stopped by to chat and we left very satisfied.
The Thanksgiving meal that was advertised on Opentable wasn’t available. We waited excessively long at the host stand to be seated. The menu items we ended up ordering were not as described, for example the grit cakes were not grit cakes and there was no plantain mash served with certain dishes. The cocktails were not served with ice so they were warm. The people next to us were complaining about their wait for their dessert and ended up dining and dashing. The staff was very lackluster. Definitely would not recommend to anyone visiting or local.
We had a reservation but was treated like a walk-in. We didn’t even have a waiter. The manager was nice enough to wait on us but she kept forgetting about our table. The night was long because we continuously had to wait for our food and any kind of service. Horrible. No one would check on our table. The staff made us feel like we weren’t even there. No acknowledgement whatsoever. Terrible Thanksgiving dinner. We were very disappointed. We are never going back.
We dined at Briquette’s Thanksgiving evening after making reservations for their pre fixe, which was never offered. After a 15 minute wait, our server, who seemed to be rattled, came by to offer water, but didn’t bother taking our drink or appetizer order. Once he did take our drink order, it was another 15 minutes before they arrived. But they were tasty. After waiting another 45 minutes, our second choice appetizer came out. Expecting to wait for a while for our entrees, we didn’t find cause to eat quickly. But our entrees came out within 10 minutes. We also found it “amusing” that the couple seated next to us was told what they could order. The server told them the restaurant was not prepared for such a large amount of diners and was running out of food. I’m just glad they had just run out of our first choice appetizer and not our entire meal like the unlucky couple next to us.
Great food and ambiance!! My family and I enjoyed all experience.
We came for thanksgiving dinner, specifically because we requested the $45 dinner. We came in and they said they were sold out without stating this was a possibility. On top of that i asked how does that happen when we secured a spot. They waiter became catty with rude remarks. We ended up ordering food that arrived an hour later with extremely small portions. Worst experience of my life and the food was horrible.
Thanksgiving dinner was sold out by the time we got there at 5:45pm reservations. Steak at $54 was dry and a thin cut small portion. Not good menu options for Thanksgiving when a prix fixe Turkey dinner was what we expected.
The waiter too long take our orders, over an hour. Every drink in the menu we asked for he said the restaurant didn’t have and when I asked for Pepsi or Coke he never brought it.
Horrible experience for Thanksgiving dinner. They were out of the Thanksgiving Dinner Special at 5:30pm. They were also out of other menu items, such as oysters, bread and halibut. The bowl of gumbo had 1 piece of sausage, no chicken, a few grains of rice, only broth. It was supposed to be a bowl but the quantity was the amount of a cup. The manager and waiter had a bad attitude. We were served water but the waiter never asked if we wanted to order anything else to drink such as a cocktail or wine. We asked for the check, paid $70 for 5 cups of sorry gumbo and left. We went back to our hotel and ate a proper Thanksgiving meal. I will never go back to this restaurant. There are too many good ones in New Orleans.
Went to restaurant expecting a thanksgiving dinner. When we arrived we were seated after a short wait and when we ordered the special, we were told they were out. This was about 5:30 Thanksgiving evening and they were out. That was ridiculous. We then order from the menu and were disappointed with the food we ordered. Bland tasting meal.
Was good but waited 25 min despite reservations
We planned an early family thanksgiving dinner, we were seated in about 15 minutes. After we were seated, it took 10 minutes to just get water. Another 10 minutes goes by to order wine. So we ordered our food at that time as well. The place was over half empty, and it took an hour and fifteen minutes to get our food…which came out at three different times. One member of our party’s pasta wasn’t even Luke warm! We all had to ask for refills on our water. Poor service and poor food for what supposed to be a nice afternoon dinner before the Saints game and on thanksgiving day.
Patrick our server, and Ted our bartender were amazing. For a site over run with out of towners on a holiday, they more than took care of us. They made sure our holiday was special!
Snapper was more like a fried redfish...dry consistency rather than what I'm used to. I'm used to snapper being more like crabmeat consistency. Disappointed that we could not try the crabcakes since they had no crabmeat at the time. Service was somewhere else the whole time as he did not pay attention to our table very much.
Typical Thanksgiving Day dinner. Everything was good. Cocktails were wonderful. Seated earlier than reservation.
Amazing. We will return.
The crawfish crepes were excellent! Enjoyed the special Thanksgiving menu including their seafood gumbo which was great! Will definitely go back when we're in town.
Had a great experience there for Thanksgiving. Food was amazing and service was exceptional.
We had a great Thanksgiving dinner here with attentive, friendly and efficient service from our server Darrell. While the room was large the noise level was not overwhelming, even with many football fans. Food was very good, with generous portions. Loved the exposed brick walls and the long glass windows into the kitchen.
Exceptional food and amazing service. Our grandchildren, who are 8 and 10 enjoyed the food and tried some new and different fish and seafood!
The food is incredible! Every dish we had was well put together with great flavor. I would put it up against any of the well-known NOLA restaurants.
Friendly , attentive staff. The ahi poke was utterly delicious as a shared appetizer. I had redfish on the half shell and my dining companion had blackened redfish. Both were very good.
The only hitches we’re with the drinks: the blueberry vodka cocktail I had was very sweet. And the New Zealand Sauvignon blanc was no longer offered so we had Decoy, which I did not enjoy very much. Please offer a larger selection by the glass, Briquette!
Food was excellent, delicious!!! Hostess was very nice but needs to wear a bra. Clingy sweater top without a bra is not a professional look.
Great place to dine with large groups!
Crab bisque had shrimp instead of crab, but I was told this upfront and it was very good. My Blackened Redfish was way too salty, but the side of fried green tomatoes was excellent! Service was not overly friendly or speedy at the bar. My soup appetizer came 30 seconds before my entree. Not a good beer selection, but seemed to have a large cocktail list. The King Cake dessert was wonderful, but it took a long time and had sat in the window too long so the ice cream was liquid when it got to me. They were not overly busy for a Friday night, so I’m not sure why my soup and dessert were so delayed.
I really enjoyed my experience at Briquette! I had Darrell as a waiter and he was so friendly and gave me great recommendations! I had the seafood gumbo and crawfish and goat cheese crepes! Both were phenomenal! I’ll definitely come back to try the beignet bread pudding!!!
The fish is fresh and the server insured our dish was done to perfection. The sauce on my wife and my own mains were delicious and did not distract from the flavor of the fish.
Food was excellent as well as service. Did not have to wait long for my food. Prices were awesome. Very good restaurant overall
I have to admit that I just finished eating the BEST Roasted Duck I have ever eaten. It was prepared with a Raspberry sauce over a stuffing. The duck was crisp, without the typical fat commonly encountered. Will return for this meal again and again!
Awesome food atmosphere must do experience for NOLA
Briquette seemed very frantic initially. We were a bit early, so decided to wait at the bar. Glad we did as Ted, the bartender, was efficient and personable. We decided to eat at the bar to avoid the loud dining room. The cocktails were great as was the poké. Fish dishes were more than enough. Seems like this restaurant is very popular and would recommend the Halibut.
Like a cafeteria. Too light. Not intimate
Briquette has everything a diner would want fabulous food great wine llist comfortable but elegant atmosphere it’s number one in my book
In town for a convention. Had a business dinner here. It is a cool place, but was a bit loud for a business dinner, although I recommend for the food. Food was great. Server was attentive but it did appear they are still short staffed, as some requests took a bit longer than pre COVID times, which we understood in the current economy. I’d definitely go back.
Waiter took a while to come out. Thirsty and coughing with no attention. As I requested him, he appeared….slow service, but food was very good.
Food was good, but overpriced. My market price fish was $50, a bit of a shock when I got the bill. The place was half empty but the service was very slow. We waited 20 minutes for appetizers to come out and then were told the restaurant was out of bread. It was all just a bit odd. The bread pudding beignets were absolutely amazing.
