Lump crab meat, hollandaise, heirloom pommes frites, baby green beans.
Lump Crab Bisque
With Louisiana mirliton, sherry finish, roe garni.
Baby market greens, eggplant caviar, fresh goat cheese, petite tomatoes and dressing.
I want to like this place but the Crawfish & Goat Cheese Crepes were terrible. Seafood Salad ($24) was not tasty nor fresh. No crabmeat right now due to seafood supply issues in La. so expect shrimp instead. If you go then use the Groupon voucher for $30 off. Ted is fun to talk to behind the bar.
Really happy with my overall experience. Was able to grab dinner prior to a concert later in the evening. The restaurant was spacious and had great ambiance. The food was amazing. I had the Caramelized Sea Scallops appetizer (Yum! Charred poblano butter, fried goat cheese grits really complemented this), Lump Crab Bisque (Delish!), and Snapper Ponchartrain (Wow! Perfectly cooked, great portion, potatoes paired perfectly!). The service was friendly and efficient. I definitely recommend, and plan to return often.
It was Nice place and great food. Service was also great.
Very pleasant meal and good service. It was a little quiet but presumably as the tourists have not fully come back to NOLA.
Great food, good menu was full of great choices. My girl friend has a gluten free diet and the waiter took hie time to explain all her choices.
The cured salmaon salad was inedible. Need fresher fish
Great food and the service was extremely good!
Went for my dads birthday. Had a great time. Food was amazing. It does get loud.
Ted was great behind the bar. Short staffed and was very personable and efficient.
Briquette has a great atmosphere. We had the scallops appetizer and it was good. She had the blackened redfish it was cooked perfectly but needed a bit more spicy kick to satisfy her expectation of blackened. I had the snapper and it was very good. We finalized our meal with the chocolate crepe brûlée(highly recommend)
This is my second time here using a Groupon. Had to sit at the bar as they were having a wine tasting event. Gumbo was outstanding. Had a pork belly salad that was good and unique. Would come back again
The food was dry and regular, the fish was almost uncooked The servis was just ok, the chef need check is food regularly to not fall on practical drifts
Please take it as progress forward
Absolutely fantastic in every way
All in all the meal was nice. Wine was very good. The ahi poke app was not very good. I wouldn't say i needed to go back again.
Used Groupon. Single female traveler. Promptly greeted and seated where requested on the reservation. They do not have dining room assistants and although acknowledged by my server, I waited some time for them to bring me water. He was pleasant enough and knowledgeable.
Appetizer: Scallops w/grit and goat cheese cake. I felt the scallops were a bit over seasoned and a bit stringy in texture. The "cake" was heavy feeling, and seemed like it was over-deep fried giving it a harder, thicker crust. The cake had very little seasoning. It was served on a flat layer of uninspired baby spinach. There was no treatment/dressing, etc of the spinach, just leaves. The dish needed some brightness and some sort of dressing would have achieved that effect. Maybe nitpicking but my plate had not been wiped and there was melted butter dripping down the rim of the plate, obviously from when the melted butter was ladled on the scallops and had I not seen it and touched it there to turn it I would have it on my fingers.
Entree: Louisiana Fried Catfish w/seasoned fries-fennel slaw/house made tarter sauce. The large filets were beautifully fried. Not as "fishy" as most of the catfish I've eaten in Texas. Perfect texture, but for my taste, the cornmeal was very under seasoned. Excellent fries. Slaw was tangy and interesting but a small portion and I would have added a touch of sweetness. The house made tartar sauce was very sour and I used the ketchup mostly.
Not a bad experience but even with the Groupon I would go elsewhere.
Food was not good and although there weren’t a lot of people there, there was a very noise table adjacent to us!
Dinner here was FANTASTIC. I feel like this is one of those best kept secrets of NEW ORLEANS. The food is always fresh and is always served hot no manner how many are in your party. I don’t know how they do it. Fresh local fish is always appreciated!!!
Excellent service and delicious food! The owners are so gracious. We’ll
be back. What more can I say?
Timmy was great- 2nd tome had him
Wife likes the Halibut
Niece liked blackened redfish
Brother in law had duck - said was “good”
I had ribeye and was good
Really enjoyed Briquette.Really likedthe ambiance and the food was great!!Already purchased another Briquette's Groupon!!
Had an awesome dinner. The crawfish and crab crepe was phenomenal. The mussels and pomme frites were divine. To finish with the tornadoes and scallops sealed the deal. Will definitely be back and Patrick took REAL good care if us. Ps. Those Longhorn Old-fashioned are top notch!!!!
Only 4 tables were in use so the place was quiet.
The food was very good but the goat cheese grit cake had too much pepper.
The fish had a Tabasco sauce that had no Tabasco in it which was fine with us but if we hadn't asked I would have rejected the fish because of that sauce. Could not understand why you would print on the menu a redfish comes with a Tabasco sauce when that was a complete misnomer.
Overall the food was excellent, the portions very large, and appetizers (scallops and Gumbo) were very good.
Best Food we’ve had in New Orleans! Would definitely recommend and can’t wait to come back!
Friendly and professional staff. The food was absolutely amazing with large portions. Cocktails were also delicious. I plan on returning in the future to enjoy many more dining experiences with friends
Delicious food and the server was awesome
Absolutely delicious. Great service. I highly recommend.
We had the Coolinary menu options.
Appetizers: Creole Gumbo-tasty and above average. Caramelized scallop dish was WOW. The delicious scallops were on what the waiter called a “rice brick?”. It was crunchy brown on the outside with what appeared to be soft grits/rice inside. There might have been cheese in it too. I couldn’t figure out the ingredients but it was wonderful. And there was also a lovely sauce on top.
Main courses: Redfish Almondine- another WOW. The presentation was lovely. The fish and sauce were laid across a portion of beautifully browned multicolored potatoes. The potatoes were crunchy with a soft center. The haricot vert were tender with a delicious sauce. The Chicken Marsala was tasty. The tortilla Alfredo was good but not that special. I think this selection would have more appeal with a slightly smaller portion of the Alfredo and the addition of another colorful vegetable.
Dessert: Hmmmm I will admit, it was okay but not impressive. I’ll agree that the appetizers and the main course were very filling and we did bring some home. So, a large, rich dessert is not needed. But it would have been nice to have 2 choices.
Over all this was one of the best Coolinary offerings we have tried.
Michael was a helpful and attentive service persone. The portions are beyond generous. The fish was devine and vegetables well matched. We'll be back.
The food was so delicious and we loved our waiter!
Delicious food. A bit noisy.
Great food and service
Good food, lots of good seafood options, nice art, not a bad price
My favorite was the shrimp pasta.. the scallops were good but SALTY also the vegetables and I’m from New Orleans so I love salt. The oyster Rockefeller was HORRIBLE!!
Great service, wonderful foospecialty cocktails are par, and espresso martinis. But I won’t hold it against them because I’m not sure many patrons would eat a delicious trout almandine and then go for an espresso martini.
The food was nothing short of perfection. I will be back
Service was slow and food was just average. Had the feel of a chain restaurant.
Over priced for quality of food and service.
Food was amazing. Portions were huge.
Enjoyed ambiance. We had a fun time.
The food, mainly fish dishes are outstanding. The mussels are to die for.
The server was great ! Over all the food was ok! I enjoyed my self they have a fresh market!😊😊😊
