Great place. Highly recommend.
This restaurant had some very unique dishes to choose from, especially in desserts. They did an excellent job at making sure we were taken care of at all times. My filet was great! Cooked perfectly!
Great food. Server Benjamin was classy and took great care of us from start to finish of our meal.
Food and service were excellent. Great selection of fresh and local seafood. My only complaint was the noise on a busy night and it was hard to hold a conversation with the people at our table.
Food was terrific...kale salad, gumbo ya-ya, and the ribeye were favorites at our table. Arrive was a bit slow and seemed overwhelmed with other guests. Perhaps short of staff that evening. Overall experience was very good.
Very welcoming - management offered tour into the kitchen to pick our fish and explained different fish species we don’t know /have in Australia. Reasonably prices and overall excellent experience. Thank you
In town for a convention and the restaurant was close to the hotel with great reviews. Started off with drinks at the bar. Vodka martini with hand stuffed blue cheese olives were perfect way to wind down from the busy day. Strawberry gimlet was also delicious. Dinner was great as well.
Food was excellent but the
Waiters had an attitude. Would not recommend it to a friend.
I thought that the prices being pretty high, meant the food would be phenomenal but it wasn't. The snapper was pretty good but the red fish was extremely overcooked. The service was not very good honestly. Server couldn't wait for us to leave and did not smile and acted like he didn't want to really be there. Like he had something to do and needed to get there
Worst meal we had in New Orleans and the most expensive even after the groupon. After our terrible food that 3 out of five didn't eat, the other two went home sick, only consolation to the three that didn't eat. Only good food was the mussels, the Distruct Tournedos, and trout almondine. Scallops were horrendous, lump crab bisque was garbage, pork porterhouse was beyond over cooked, ribeye way over cooked, and the Visiting Market whole fish terrible. Also, I ordered a drink off the specials menu...supposed to be fruity, melon, citrus...was a basic orange juice and vodka. All around biggest disappointment and an awful ending to our New Orleans trip. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY. Too many good spots to eat.
We took a friend for the first time she loved it. She had the lam shank and felt it was the best ever, my wife had the chicken pane had enough to take some home to enjoy at a later time. I had the redfish half shell so of the best fish I ever had. All three of the deserts were outstanding and large portions. The crab bisque and crab meat Napoleon were great for starters.
Service was great and you can’t beat the owners hospitality.
It is a great place for couples dinning or groups in an enjoyable setting.
The wine list is great.
I also recommend the old fashion.
We were invited to go in the kitchen. Our first time and so enjoyed meeting the crew.
This was a great lunch experience. The redfish steak sandwich’s were flavorful and reasonably priced. Service was fantastic. Highly recommended.
Awful experience, I’ll never go back.
Service was good. Our waitress was very helpful, friendly and refreshingly candid. The atmosphere was fine but not notable. Food was good but we didn’t find it to be the best value. Overall a fine dining experience but not in a hurry to return.
Excellent restaurant. Excellent service. Excellent food.
Outstanding service and great food. Being on Eastern Time, we arrived at 4:30 PM CT (5:30 PM ET), well before the evening dinner service had started, and the receptionist welcomed us as though we'd arrived at rush hour. Our waiter, Darrell, was exceptional both in attending to our needs and helping us identify our preferences. The food was also exceptional, except for the charred kale salad which was a little too chewy for my taste. It was a real treat to see the chefs preparing dinner through the glassed-in kitchen, and I think I learned some new ways of chopping vegetables. Particularly good was the Crab Napoleon appetizer - highly recommended for any crab epicures. All told, a little on the expensive side, but certainly worth it.
We love fish and so we got a whole fish called turbo. Was the most amazing taste and everyone love it.
Appetizers wasn’t impressive especially the free bee one given by the chef.
Ambience was different and a different atmosphere.
Over all a high three to a four star rating!
We Had reservations for 6:00 but arrived earlier and the host was quick to seat us. Our server was very friendly. I had the grilled fish with a crab sauce that was absolutely delicious! I also used a Groupon for half off. Perfect meal.
Greatest Gumbo! We are visiting NOLA from San Diego. We are trying seafood gumbo everyday from different restaurants. All the restaurants are known for their fabulous seafood. Briquette wins! Deep dark smoky delicious roux from someone whose family must have taught them well. Also it is served in a deep warm bowl so it stays warm to the last drop. All I can say is if your mama is too busy or was not raised with Louisiana cooking, Briquette is the place for gumbo that tastes rich and comforting. Snapper Pontchartain was amazing too. Going back for seconds. Yum!
Excellent food. Creative dishes. They dessert menu was topped off by beignets
Excellent service, flavorful food and great ambiance. Highly recommend
Food was very good, service was very poor.
The whole fish prep is amazing- a must get!!
Briquette always goes beyond our expectations. The food, the service and the ambiance are so enjoyable and the reason we keep returning!
Briquette was absolutely amazing. Our waiter Timmy was phenomenal and the food was the best we had during our entire vacation. We will definitely go back when we come to NOLA on vacation again!!
Great food! Very clean, nice ambiance. Had a little trouble redeeming a groupon, so be careful with those. Everything else was excellent.
I brought my aunt and uncle to this restaurant after a recommendation from a friend. FYI...HH is only at the bar. First course, I had the seafood gumbo. My issue was that it lacked seafood. It was mostly rice and roux. My aunt had the scallops. It was cooked well but the it was brought out cold. For my entree, I had the lamb shank. It was very tender but lacked seasoning. My aunt had the duck, which she said saved the entire meal... so that was a plus. I would try others places before going back here.
Wonderful fish dishes although crab bisque too creamy and lacked crab and taste great service Good wines by glass Can be noisy if near drunken parties
There was a fish bone in the sauce on top of my scallops.
Also — scallops don’t need a heavy sauce.
The salad was fresh
The service was good, but I was not impressed with the food
My husband had the prime rib and it was flavorless and undercooked
I was not impressed for the amount of money we spent
Food was delicious. Liz (our server) was great. We spent nearly $700 and they charged us for our (oh btw coffee which I thought was a little lame). Overall great food. Neat place.
We chose Briquette because the original restaurant we wanted to eat at was completely booked and this one was close to our hotel. The food was OUTSTANDING, I had the Snapper Ponchatrain and loved every bit of it!!! Would definitely go back again and would definitely recommend to others!
Once again, great meal and great experience! We had family and friends in town and Briquette was a wonderful choice for them since the menu covers many choices.
Darell, the really terrific server, was serving our table and once again, he was wonderful!! Had everyone’s order delivered perfectly and with such a friendly manor that we had a SUPER time!!
We had reservations but they weren't needed. Great restaurant with delicious food and great service.
Enjoyed tour of kitchen! Service was impeccable! Portion size of fish too much but delicious!
Great restaurant, food is great, service is awesome. It was Our waitress first day of work and she knew everything about the menu and wine selections and her service was awesome. Great ambiance great food great staff
Best red snapper and redfish I have had. My wife and I truly enjoyed it.
Everything we had was amazing! I love that the kitchen is completely open so you can watch the chefs cook while you wait for your food. Make sure to get the Floating Island dessert!
We chose Briquette based on it being within walking distance from our hotel and the positive reviews.
The restaurant was not overly crowded, so the noise level was good.
We ordered the Chicken Panee Limone and the Snapper Pontchartrain. Both dishes were very good and tasty.
For desert we had the King Cake dessert and it was very good.
The service was attentive without being intrusive.
I would recommend Briqutte for a nice date night out.
Great place to eat with friends from far and wide. Great all round experience, on my return list.
