Brio Tuscany Grille in Dana Point, California is family owned and operated. This restaurant is also a nightclub with a full-service martini bar, too. There is a regular calendar of live entertainment at Brio Tuscany Grille, as well.
To get your meal started, try the calamari fritti, Joes garlic bread, ahi tuna, ahi tuna rolls or clams Amalfi. Brio Tuscany Grille is also known for its signature crab and lobster bisque. Its made with crab from Maryland and lobster meat. All the produce here is grown locally and organic, which is why the con brio salad here is a signature dish.
Love the food & live music!
Awful place. How do they stay in business? There isn't a reception area when you arrive. No one acknowledged us as we stood in the bar upon arriving. We had a reservation and the table wasn't ready. The man that finally did acknowledge us was cold and crabby. We were then seated at a table in a dark part of the restaurant. No lighting at all. Very odd. We left without ordering.
I had a party of five show up for a holiday luncheon and they weren't even open! Doors were locked and lights off. I went back to the website and it said they were open. We went to another restaurant.
The food was just okay, but the service was sorely lacking, We had to ask for bread 4 different times before we got it, a bowl of soup and a bowl of simple pasta took almost an hour to get. A lady dining solo at the next table said she comes here often but the service is very slow, well she was completely accurate. Before we left another table was already complaining about the service. Based on what I experienced I will not be back. The food did not make up for the servie.
Brio Tuscany Grille in Dana Point is a neighborhood gem. The food is so delicious. Each time I have dined here I have enjoyed every meal. The service is excellent.
It was our first time even though we've lived in the area for years. Nice ambiance, friendly service, and excellent food. We had dinner on Saturday night with a small group and stayed for the live band. Overall, a very enjoyable evening!
Good food, live music....what more could you ask for??!!
Pepe always recognises you and provides good service. We visit often and always enjoy.
Our party enjoyed the ambiance, server and noise level....my dish, linguine pescatore was dissapointing. Seemed like the seafood was old and tough.
Pretty standard Italian food, nice ambiance. A little pricey vs. other options out there.
This was not our first visit to Brio, and the food was again very good. We had our same waiter who provides very good service, but unfortunately this night it was extremely slow. He mentioned large groups and slow kitchen - there was just the 2 of us and our meal should have taken 1:00-1:15 but we were there over 2:15. For this reason I would not recommend for children and/or larger groups.
Surprised to find such a nice dining experience in a strip mall. Very quiet on the night we came and the staff was very attentive and prompt. Bread was delicious, caprese salad was a little smaller than expected but appeared to have heirloom tomatoes...very good. Ribeye was outstanding and the side veggies were cooked to perfection! Pizza was also very good--excellent crust, not too sweet on the sauce. Desserts were good as well. Wine was good but came out warm in the glass...second glass I had chilled and it was stellar. Excellent dining experience! Definitely recommend to friends.
Very Good as always. The General Manager down to all the employees. Enjoy spennding time with the new friends that I have met of course that is the staff and the regulars.
We went for the sunset dinner special and I would say the food was pretty average. What really ticked me off was when we first sat down, the waitress asked us if we would like some bread. We hadn't even looked at the menu but we said yes. The bread was 3 pieces of bread cut in half to make six small pieces and I tried one piece and didn't like it. When the bill came we found out they charge $10 for bread. Usually restaurants comp the bread and it is normally a lot better than that. I doubt very much if we will be going back.
We have lived nearby this restaurant for the past 18 years, but this was our 1st visit..not our last. I made reservations on line the day of our dinner. They offered to seat us promptly, but we waited for on outside table in the patio. Good choice! Very quiet, and secluded. The food was fabulous, kind of old school Italian food. Not the new age spin on Italian cuisine we had at other restaurants lately. Everyone from the hostess, the bus boy to the waiter were very accommodating to all our special requests. Try the Groupon 5 course meal for two, $69. Crazy value, lots of choices. The live music was a surprise bonus. My wife almost got me up to dance....
Tried restaurant for dinner for first time and unfortunately while the service was great, the food was extremely average. Drinks and dancing might be the best way to enjoy this restaurant, french fries and carppaccio are great and wine list is good.
We were very pleased with our experience. Had a reservation and was accommodated as soon as we arrived. Service was great, food very good, would return again.
Food was tasteless. Service was slow. Not good at all. And, not very clean. Looks like they hadn't dusted in forever.
Food was bland, drinks were weak. If everything else is closed, its OK, but if something in the area is open go there.
The ambiance at Brio is always good. The outdoor patio is lovely and has plants lining the edges. The service has been outstanding the three times I've eaten here. Some of the food portions are very small compared to their price. I experienced this when I ordered salad and an appetizer. Their specialty is definitely past, which also offers the largest portion size. The meats and fish don't entirely add up to the quality you'd expect from this type of restaurant.
