BRIO Tuscan Grille - Sarasota - University Town Center
We had a quick date night dinner, I hadn’t had dinner at Brio in awhile but I was really happy we went. Great service and the food was good.
We have eaten at Brio many times, however, this time the food was not up to their usual standards. The asparagus was woefully under cooked. My wife had the Mahi Mahi, which was very bland. We will go back since this was the first time we have had a bad experience. If we have the same problem the next time it will be our last.
There are many good things on the menu. The chicken Milanese is delicious and so is the filet if you like steak. I had the lobster and shrimp linguine and it was very good. The spinach and artichoke dip is delicious also. White peach sangria is very refreshing and tasty! Love it!
Great ambience in the outside part of the restaurant.
The menu is pretty much the same over the years. Small changes are made but the execution is not reliable. If the menu is better and consistent, this place will be amazing.
Service was very poor.
Very nice restaurant, food was very good. Will go back
It was so loud, we couldn't hear each other at the table. My pasta was burned. How is that even possible? The floor was littered around our table. I would never give a bad review if it weren't warranted. I ate lunch there once, and it was okay. Mother's Day dinner was a huge disappointment.
The food was great the the price was very good . A lot better than some of the other restaurants in the area!
The waitress was spectacular!!
A hopping place. We had reservations and were seated within 10 minutes of our time.
Nice menu and food was very good.
Will definitely go back.
As usual, an excellent dining experience. Excellent food, attentive service. This is why I keep coming back to Brio.
Service was mediocre. Food came out lukewarm at best. The “glaze” on the chicken Marsala was coagulated, so it looked like it sat out a long time.
Just in general not good. I’d take Olive Garden above this for the quality, value and service. That says something because I won’t go to an Olive Garden for “Italian food”. Your best bet if you are at the mall is to go to a different spot. If you want Italian food or pasta go to any of the other smaller places around there.
My Cesar salad lettuce was on the verge of spoiling and you could visibly see that it had red edges and was soggy. My husband was happy with the steak dish he ordered but the sides lacked any seasoning as all. It was like boiled potatoes and broccoli. The potatoes has random clumps of pesto. My chicken dish was salty. The calamari was good and the chocolate cake was the best part of the meal. The service was lack luster and the server seemed like she was in a hurry to leave. Considering the price it was an all around disappointment.
The service was the best we've ever had. The food was outstanding. Unfortunately the noise level was too high to carry on a group conversation.
Nice early appetizer and cocktail menu. I’ve been three times in two weeks.
Already I’m looking for additional food options or a menu that changes once or twice in a two week period. Brio is a go to place! Please consider menu variety.
Took over an hour to get food after order even though we explained that we had a plane to catch. Couldn’t ten get a check after we asked several times. People that ordered a half hour after us got food before we did. Food, when delivered was terrible bone chicken dish was burnt and inedible. The pasta dishes were cold. All in all, a cpmplete Disaster
I have always enjoyed Brio’s but usually ate outside. I was very pleased with my table for five. Our server was wonderful.
We enjoyed Happy Hour(bar area only) outside. We ordered some of our favorites.
The check was wrong,so that error lowered the overall rating.
The flatbread crackers in the bread basket were not crispy so I only ate one. My salmon was over cooked, our server AARON took it back and it took a while but it came back perfect. We had a lovely complimentary dessert for our anniversary and because of my dinner issue. Our server AARON was great very attentive and funny.
Great time again at Brio! Amazing food with excellent service by Carolina. She’s awesome. Always request her and she never fails to give us excellent service! Will be back.
Was a great dinner. Excellent service. Excellent meal.
Noise level was good only because we requested and were seated in a side room.
Thank you, Brio, for putting the best things you serve back on the menu. The reason we keep coming is because we know we can get the meals we enjoy. Don't change a good thing, happy to see the salmon fresca back on the menu, the beef medallions and the spinach and artichoke dip. Once those were off the menu we had no reason to come back...now that they are back, so are we!
Great as always love Brios
The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it wasn't an "Oh my gosh! This was so awesome! I've got to come here every week!" moment. The food was delicious. Some of the pasta portions were moderate to small by todays standards. Our server was excellent. Loved the decor/style of the restaurant. The outside bar area looked nice but we had a large party so we were not able to sit outside, because they only have small round tables. I will dine here again.
Went there for Easter dinner app were great. salad were great, and most of the eight entree's were warm at best . the Lamb chops over cooked. in there defense they replaced that meal without any problem.
Great food. Ordered off the Brunch menu. All 3 plates were perfect. Great food. Good value for an Easter Brunch outing!!!
Always good at Brio. We've eaten there twice this week. A great place to celebrate special occasions.
7pm business dinner: incredible service, lovely atmosphere, and excellent menu. The group enjoyed a variety of items off the menu and the total cost was reasonable. Easy to book the reservation and then spoke with staff about a quiet table. Worked out great and will definitely return. Thank you BRIO!
Wanted Pasta Bolognese. Was referred to BRIO by neighbor. The entrée certainly hit the mark. Also ordered the chopped salad with creamy parmesan dressing. The meal paired perfectly with the Roxanne
Red Blend from Tuscana.
I am sure BRIO will become one of our local go to places.
Love their food and it is a great value. They have an extensive menu sure to please everyone! Just wish Brio's had a restaurant less than an hour from me, I would go more often!
One of the better brunches we’ve had recently. Our server, Katie, was great!!! She knew everything about the menus, which was nice, because there were actually 3 when when we were there. There was a brunch menu, a luncheon menu and an all day menu. She also introduced us to Brio’s Peach Bellini. The food was delivered to our table piping hot and Katie was there at exactly the times we needed her. We had a friend from out of town with us who had never experienced Brio before, and she definitely is a new convert. Great experience.
Everything was great! And because it was Sunday the wine was half off. Delicious food. attentive service. I highly recommend it!
Lovely as usual and our waitress Karen was so nice, thank you Brio
THOUGH I WOULD RECOMMEND IT TO FRIENDS, WE HAD OUR MOST DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE HERE. FIRST OF ALL, WE WANTED TO DINE OUTDOORS AND ORDER A HAPPY HOUR DRINK BUT ORDER MEALS OFF YOUR REGULAR PRICED MENU. EVEN THOUGH WE MADE RESERVATIONS JUST IN CASE WE COULDN'T DINE OUTDOORS, THE HOSTESS EXPLAINED WE COULD NOT ORDER HAPPY HOUR ITEMS IN THE DINING ROOM EVEN THOUGH WE HAD INTENDED TO ORDER MEALS. WE CATCH A SEAT IN THE BAR. AFTER ORDERING MEALS, WE WAITED 40-45 MINUTES FOR OUR MEAL. HUSBAND HAS CELIAC AND ASKED FOR MASHED POTATOES BUT GOT GLUTEN-FREE PASTA. WE'RE NOT ABOUT TO CHANGE THIS AFTER WAITING 45 MINUTES. ALSO OUTDOORS: ALL THESE TABLES ARE RESERVED. WE ASKED "WHY?" AND IT'S BECAUSE IT'S NOT FOR HAPPY HOUR CROWD. YOU HAVE ALL THESE TABLES UNUSED AND LOSING MONEY!! YOU NEED TO CHANGE SOME OF YOUR WAYS. ANOTHER COMPANY BOUGHT OUT BRIO BUT UNFORTUNATELY, IT'S GONE DOWNHILL AND NOT FOR THE BETTER. GIVE US THE OLD BRIO BACK.
Was very disappointed. Had a chicken bone in my pasta Brio and the waitress seemed very nonchalant about it. I pointed it out to her and she said she would let the kitchen staff know. Not sure if she did or not. No follow up. I expected the manager to come over.
Always good, our server Carlos was very attentive and courteous. Food is good over all, definitely welcomed the wedge back on the menu!
The lasagna was inedible, the lemon chicken was great as well as the chicken Marsala. However, the Milanese chicken was over salted and not what it used to be. It was more like a version of chicken parm without the proper covering of cheese and the bread coating was way too salty. The old version of this chicken that we enjoyed in the past was changed.
Our waitress, Katie was so wonderful! Even though she had a large group to serve her attentiveness to us not compromised at all.
Dining at Brio was a wonderful way to celebrate my husband's birthday!!
Noise toooo loud
Plan to skip
Moderately priced restaurant with OK food. Nothing special but not bad for the money.
