BRIO Tuscan Grille - Salt Lake City - City Creek
We are located at City Creek Mall, an upscale open-air shopping center. Parking is underground with the best access to Brio from the 100 South entrance. We are located one block from The Salt Palace Convention Center & the LDS Temple. We offer Happy Hour Monday through Friday 3:30pm to 6:30pm & $5.00 Martini’s All Day every day. We also have several private dining areas to accommodate 20-120 guests.
The crab cakes appetizer was coastal quality. The salmon salad was made to perfection and was adequately filling. Drinks were well done and the service was attentive. The ambiance was above average and the location in downtown Salt Lake City near the theaters is fantastic. We shall return!
Overall, a good experience. Service was good but lacked prompt follow-up after the meal was delivered. We asked for a dessert menu and were disappointed as all but one item used ice-cream and we needed it to go.
Food are delicious, we're a big group but the people who atended never be there
If we need extra cheese, bread ir more water se need ask some times before
Always is our best decision dinner here in the small room (VIP)
We are Eccles Season Ticket holders, and we go to Brio before our play on Friday nights. We love the food, and the ambiance!
Food was amazing. Sat outside. The road was very cute with all the lights.
Birthday for my wife. Food, service, ambiance were all excellent.
Good food for a reasonable price, I recommend the bruschetta as a starter. Possibility to be outside is very pleasant in summer evening. What I just found unpleasant is the need to ask several times for water, and for the bill.
So I will come back for sure.
We’ve been to this BRIO location a few times, & there’s always some kind of hiccup. Usually it’s small stuff that I look past. But this past Saturday I left with no plan of returning. I ordered the fish special, which was halibut, & changed out the potato. When the server put my plate down, it was the wrong potato, so I told him. He looked at me like I was an idiot and said “well that can’t be because we don’t even offer the potato you are requesting!” To which I said, “you offer it with the salmon entree, & my server said it wasn’t a problem.” So he took the plate and rudely said “I’ll find your server for you!” So I sat for 10 minutes waiting. When my server finally came back with the right side dish, I took one bite of my fish, moved it around a bit and realized it was raw. Again, waited 10 minutes for my server to return. He had me push the fish onto a butter dish and said “I’ll get you a new piece of fish,” which would have been totally fine. Manager comes and apologizes and says “we’ll make this right for you!” Next thing I know... the server is bringing our check, & says “I took the fish off the check for you.” While I appreciated the gesture, I actually WANTED TO EAT DINNER!! It was such a disappointing experience and we literally had to stop and grab something on the way home because all I’d had for dinner was a small portion of potatoes and green beans! Our server really was very kind and you could tell he felt bad, but somehow our request for a cooked piece of fish went over his head! Unfortunately, we won’t be returning to this location again.
Great service, fantastic food! Try the spaghetti pesto with chicken, its very good!
We ordered a wedge salad and it was great. But the carbonara we split for our entree was terrible. The noodles weren’t fully cooked and it was mungy, kind of dry. We were never asked how it was. Service was spotty and not impressive.
Great evening. The food is always good there. Thank you!
Enjoyed the lobster/shrimp fettuccine. And the street-side ambiance very relaxed.
Excellent service, lovely atmosphere, gorgeous food enjoyed by all
Mediterranean salad was at best mediocre. Service was less than optimal.
I’ve wanted to try this place for a while. I had the lamb chops, which were just “ok”. The two other people in our party both had pasta, and they said their dishes were “very good”. Our waitress was a little distracted at times. Noise level wasn’t bad at all. Price wasn’t bad. Good atmosphere.
Very nice restaurant, good service and gave us twice the bread!
The server (Nick) had the personality of a spoon. Order, deliver, check. That’s how it went. Now the waiter at the table in front of us was very engaging very tentative and full of energy. I do have to thank the manager for calling and attempting to find out why I was so displeased. I wasn’t able to talk to her at the time. We stop at Brio a couple times a year during our travels and look forward to it. Except for this trip.
This a really nice place; just did not have enough bang for the buck. Perhaps a smidge more diversity on the menu, and the same smidge for wait staff. There were many bright spots, I am not saying there were not. Just a bit more was expected by me; rightfully so, $100 LUNCHES FOR TWO PEOPLE SHOULD BE FLAWLESS, wouldn't you agree? Maybe I am asking too much of Brio. I am, however, willing to give them a second chance........maybe.
I enjoyed a business lunch with clients, ten of us altogether. We were reserved a private room with closing doors which was perfect for the occasion. We were seated immediately, our waitress was attentive and the food was impeccable.
In the past Brio has been a good choice for dinner. This time, the food was undercooked and the service was extremely poor.
We always enjoy Brio! The food is very good and the service is top rate, even when we are in a hurry.
Have been twice and it was excellent both times. Great food awesome service and to top all that off no corking fee!! Loved it!!!
Go here a lot, but the chicken lemone was disgusting this time, must have been bad chicken.
Great spot for a business lunch or dinner. Excellent food and a server staff that isn't pushy
The food was outstanding by all accounts at our table. Bring on the SALMON!!
I arrived as a table of one 20 minutes early to a mostly empty restaurant. I was told they couldn't seat me until closer to my reservation. When I finally sat down, the restaurant was still empty. I ordered an app and it was pretty good. Lobster ravioli. I then waited for my salad that came at the same time as my main meal. I sent the main meal back and then when it came back, it looked like it was the same dish, cooked longer! Chicken Milanese, which is usually only breaded chicken or veal, with a light lemon sauce. This was more like Chicken Parm with melted cheese, and angel hair pasta. I didn't expect much at Brio, I usually would avoid it, but it was close to my hotel. I think it is just a bad excuse for an Italian Restaurant. At least the price was OK!
Food was excellent. Service was a little slow - mostly for refills on drinks and to order. But overall, it was fine.
I visited for the first time two weeks ago and the visit went so well we returned. This time ... the service was not worthy of praise. Waitress forgot to put in my discount code, drink arrived halfway through lunch, finished meal and waited 15 minutes for her to come back and ask about dessert —she was sitting and yacking away with another waitress—then waited another 15 minutes for check to be fixed with coupon and get ccard back. Food was awesome.
Rigatoni chicken was excellent. Nicely flavored, good portion, tender chicken slices. Limone chicken with mashed potatoes was good but not quite very good....chicken a little bit tough and veggies over salted but very tasty otherwise.
Service from new server Meghan was excellent especially considering it was her first day.
The dinner was superb, the atmosphere was great, and we had a wonderful sever who met all of our needs.
Meal was too salty. Waiter was unwilling to make substitutions or even to check with the kitchen if a substitution was possible.
The food was amazing and such a great way to spend time with my friends!
It took a long time for the server to come to our table. She said she would be right back but was gone for several minutes. The next time she walked by, I told her we needed to be served since we were attending a show at Eccles. We have come here for dinner many times before the show (5:00 reservation for a 6:30 show) and always get out before 6. This time, we left at 6:15. They were having the wait staff serve both inside and out and it wasn't working well.
Very slow service. They should have known that people were there for the theater and been appropriately staffed.
We visit Brio for dinner prior to our Broadway Across America show performances at the Eccles theater.
As the performances begins at 6:30 we always set our RSVP for 4:45 to allow us time for a relaxing cocktail and then dinner. Our visit on 6/30/19 was the most disappointing experience. The staffing was too limited to attend to the amount of customers that evening. We were not able to order a cocktail before we needed to get our dinner order at about 5:15. We finally departed the restaurant at 6:15 just in time to make it to your seats for the performance. We love the food at Brio. Unfortunately, the service was lacking on this occasion.
Have been to Brios twice in the last 2 weeks. The food was fantastic ! Sat outside yesterday which was delightful. Our waiter was so helpful and made sure we made it to our Theatre tickets on time!
Food and drinks were delicious, service was great. Even though our server was new, she did a great job. In fact, we wouldn’t have known she was new if she hadn’t told us. It’s always a pleasure to dine at Brio.
Always good food and a pleasant environment.
Limone Chicken Special was wonderful along with the Italian Margarita
Our visit to Brio was our first time and it was awesome, the food choices were excellent our server was quite funny and helpful. The night we were there Wednesday the 26 th June was very busy and our wait was a little bit longer but it gave us a chance to talk and socialize as a group. Our overall experience was amazing and the food was worth the wait. We will definitely keep Brio on our list of repeat restaurants in the SLCity. Kudos to the servers and staff for a great dining experience. Gary Price & friends from Fort Worth Texas. See you again!!!
