BRIO Tuscan Grille - Salt Lake City - City Creek
We are located at City Creek Mall, an upscale open-air shopping center. Parking is underground with the best access to Brio from the 100 South entrance. We are located one block from The Salt Palace Convention Center & the LDS Temple. We offer Happy Hour Monday through Friday 3:30pm to 6:30pm & $5.00 Martini’s All Day every day. We also have several private dining areas to accommodate 20-120 guests.
Prompt seating. Food was OK, seemed to be slow service at first but then the food server was attentive. All food came out at the same time, which was unusual as one was a starter salad and the other was pasta. Which I sent back to wait till I was finished. Therefore, it was cold when It was returned to me. Pricing seems a little bit steep for pasta and a salad ($35.00).
Booked a time slot for slightly before my entire party was suppose to arrive since it was my friends birthday and his guests were a surprise. Unfortunately I didn’t get seated for 15 min and the entire party ended up arriving and waiting by the door. What a bust. Secondly I arranged with a hostess to have a birthday surprise cake brought towards the end of the meal. Restaurant staff was aware this was a birthday dinner. Guess what, the waitress brought the check and no birthday cake/dessert. She also didn’t posses the manners to work in such establishment. She was rather rowdy, unrefined and spoke poor English. Table we got seated at was also subpar, I specified this was a special night and requested a nice seating arrangement. There were a lot of great and secluded tables in the restaurant that were open yet we got seated at the worst one. Although the food was great I won’t be coming back.
The server was rude and way over his head. Our entrees came out before our appetizers, very lame. He didn’t even offer any solution, so I declined the appetizers. Very weird
Nice place for a date, service and atmosphere were great. The food was good but not as good as I would expect for the price.
Saturday night dinner after a play in Salt Lake City. Excellent taste and quality of food. Really enjoyed the lobster bisque - likely the best I have had. Recommended.
We enjoyed a business lunch at BRIO at City Creek. Our group had 12 people, and the wait staff was very responsive and accommodating. We were set in a private room, which was perfect for our discussion and involvement. The food was well prepared, and it appeared that everyone was well satisfied with their menu choices, and the restaurant.
Food was excellent with the exception of the Caesar salad which needed more dressing (which was brought when requested). Took awhile to be recognized after being initially seated but server was great after that.
Had a great dinner at Brio. The Salmon was amazing!!
We had a reservation for 7:30. Thinking a reservation for seven would get a decent table. We were seated right next to the kitchen that was very loud and servers always going passed us and being very noisy. Was trying to get over this issue of table setting, and then we had Carlos who from the start was very impatient and was always rushing us. You couldn’t really understand him and was not very accommodating with our orders. We didn’t think he did a great job, so we didn’t leave the high end tip. Carli’s then gave The stare down. I’m a great topper when the waiter is good and deserves it. I left a tip and he should have been happy with that. Not impressed. No high-end restaurant should have tables set by the kitchen period.
I ordered the shrimp and pasta. Not liking garlic with shrimp, I asked it be cooked without it. When the dish arrived but was too dry, I asked for and received some alfredo sauce...PERFECT!
Was the best Nick our server was the best and the tiramisu was the best I have ever had
Our server was excellent. Food arrived to our table in a timely manner.
Great food, great service.
Brio on Regent St. is very new, huge, in City Creek Center. We went there at 8 p.m. on a Saturday after a concert with reservation. The place is very close to a Trax stop. On entering we were led immediately to a table. A waiter promptly gave us menus and shortly thereafter took our orders. The wait for food delivery was very short and made easier with a breadbasket with delectable sourdough bread. Wife ordered chicken marsala ($18); there was another chicken item on the menu which was organic free-range. Waiter assured us that this chicken was also of that type. (?) I ordered gorgonzola beef medaliions (3 medallions) medium rare ($24). Both dishes were served with a nice selection of fresh vegetables (including tomato and red pepper) and potato puree.. The medallions were very nice indeed. I also liked the vegetables. One criticisms were that both dishes could have been less ample (and correspondingly cheaper). Wife commented that the dishes could have been served more prettily. I ordered a glass of red wine (Sartori-Italian), $8 nice.We did not have desert like tiramisu, $7. In summary, it is a nice and comfortable place with good food, especially good for an after concert meal. The restaurant is open until 11 p.m.
Always our go-to after our son’s performances. The food is delicious, we always feel welcome and taken care of even though we are dining close to the end of service.
Pretty good, but bummed the lunch menu was gone!
My spaghetti and zucchini was a bowl of spaghetti with a few zucchini with garlic seasoning. Nothing else. Disappointed
Great service, good food - very fast, yet delicious since it is in the theater district. You want to get
in eat a great meal and get on to the event for the evening. An excellent choice.
Very good food!
Not happy with our meals. We ordered the special bruschetta, mozzarella and grilled red pepper. The bread was barely toasted and the the grilled red pepper was mostly raw, wasn’t left on the grill long enough.
I ordered the chicken Marsala. The sauce was very bland and did not have any flavor, let alone of Marsala wine, which has a distinctive taste. The vegetables were nicely done as were the potatoes and the chicken itself. My partner had the chicken rigatoni pasta. He also found it to be lacking in flavor, very bland.
Our salad was drowning in dressing after I requested light dressing. Our main courses were not great dues to the use of heavy oil and cream
It wasn’t all it’s made out to be. The meals are expensive for little food. Our server only came to take the order and deliver food. They appeared to be burdened that another glass of water was requested. The location was convenient and appeared to be clean.
Brio is a great place to eat with excellend food. Service yesterday was only average and we felt rushed to leave by the server which is unusual. In past visits, we've had excellent service so we were a little disappointed with this visit. Overall, it was still very good. I sure wish they'd bring back the original Crème Brule.
City Creek Brio never disappoints. Super manager there insures top quality in all areas. Perfect relax dinner when enjoying downtown events.
My wife and I had date night before going to the theater. The food was quite good and we got out in a timely fashion. The service was cordial but a bit disorganized.
So glad we got a reservation thru opentable - Walked in and our table was ready.
Very good service - portions are large - took half home for dinner the next night.
Waitress service was horrible!!! She belonged at IHOP.
Before Play dining. Halibut "Fish of the Day" special was ok. Halibut was a bit over done and dry, we have had better Halibut meals at BRIO. Will continue to eat at BRIO before our evenings at the Eccles Theater
My daughter and 8 year old granddaughter wanted to split a chicken pesto spaghetti dish. Waitress suggested portions might be too small after my daughter inquired as to their size. My daughter instead ordered two full-sized dishes. They were huge. Enough that boxes for leftovers were needed to go. My daughter felt the waitress was being dishonest in order to garner a higher bill. Food was mediocre at best.
Play at Eccles Theatre
Everything was done carefully and as ordered. We had the salmon and the beef medallions, and both were delicious.
In town for a couple of days, and this was near our hotel. Ambiance is nice, but there are a few lights that are burned out. Service was quite good—we ordered carpaccio, which was a very good size, plus a salad and shrimp/lobster pasta (both of those to share). Both came out on separate plates for each. Unfortunately, the pasta had very little flavor.
The food, ambiance, and service are always great at Brio. I have never been disappointed there.
Great food and great service. Nice ambience as well
Beautifully decorated. Food is delicious and service is amazing. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to celebrate a special occasion!
Food was excellent. Service a little slow, but understandable as they were very busy. Certainly worth the wait!
It was much too dim inside the restaurant. The smell of fish was a bit too noticeable. The waitress however was very pleasant. Two rest room stalls are not enough either.
Great food and great service. It is a favorite place to dine with friends.
always enjoy the food and drinks and the atmosphere. We come here each year for my daughter's birthday and many other times throughout the year.
Our usual dinner spot was full. This was our first time. Was wonderful. A new favorite spot!
