BRIO Tuscan Grille - Newport - Newport On The Levee
Great service and food. Great date night for my husband and I.
Love the food at Brio! Some of my menu favorites have been brought back. The wait staff is always pleasant! Still my favorite place to eat:)
Great service and good food. Love their Chicken Milanese!
My husband and I have 3 small children and it’s very rare to have the time and help to go on a date- let alone our Anniversary.
So while the food was good, our service was terrible. Our waitress was not the least bit caring or interested in helping or attending to my husband and I. This can ruin an experience and needless to say if we were to return to BRIO in Newport we would be sure to request a different server.
Disappointing. After ordering our server came back 2 different times to tell me they were out of what I ordered. When my third choice finally arrived they were out of mashed potatoes that went with the dish. Long wait for an incomplete meal.
Waiter didn’t mention that the lobster ravioli was only 3 raviolis the waiter also never gave us our bread until after we finished eating our meals
The food was pretty good but service wasn’t great.
First time here, food and atmosphere was amazing! Great smooth vibe. Everything was very clean and the service was on point. Highly recommend others to give this establishment a chance, great for dates and outing for couples. I’ll be back soon!
My wife and I have been there twice for Valentine's Day and both times it was great. All the food we had was delicious and cooked perfectly. How good the food is makes it worth the prices.
Just a overall great time!
My husband and I came to Valentine's Day and it was my first time. I was blown away with the quality of food and the perfect setting to enjoy a nice dinner. Overall it was wonderful and I will most certainly return.
The food was very bland. We were very disappointed and will not return.
They were moving very quickly, probably because there were so many bookings for Valentine’s Day and they needed to turn tables. The server was nice, but I was surprised that I mentioned it was my birthday a few times and they still didn’t add any kind of special touch for the evening. The food was delicious!
We were cold because of where we were sitting.
We visited BRIO in Newport on Valentine's Day, 2020. This is not the best day to visit because of the large number of people choosing to go out. However, I have to say this did not seem to have any effect on our dinner. The time for seating, getting drinks, then our meal an dessert were all very good.
The interior is nice. Somewhat subdued in light but not difficult to see or read the menu. The noise level is normal. I was not bothered by anyone's speaking or noise from the kitchen. It is an enjoyable place to sit.
The food was what I would expect. It was not extraordinary but also not unsatisfactory. The menu size is a bit smaller than some other restaurants but I think this helps them provide faster service and quality food. I had the lasagna because I kind of froze due to everyone else ordering. But it was delicious and at the perfect temperature to enjoy. Not too hot to eat when it arrived and not cold at all. The same for my date. The have some nice house cocktails which we both tried and enjoyed. They were about $8 which is standard for this part of the country.
The dessert and coffee was delicious and we split a Tiramisu. The downside is that their signature custard disk (similar to Crème Burlee) was sold out. I could understand as it is very popular.
I can only say the one downside was the flatness of the staff. One man who was cleaning and prepping tables was smiling and welcoming us with warmth. The hostesses and our waiter seemed to all be going through the motions. Their work was fine. Everything was done in good time and I never felt we were ignored or waiting too long. But pretty much it was done without a smile which seemed to detract just a bit.
Overall, I would go back happily if an occasion was raised. I would take a bit more time to investigate the menu but I think anything they have would be very good and prepared well. In the end BRIO in Newport provided us with a very nice time on our special day together.
Our server gave much better attention and service to tables on either side of us. We were never offered water, had to flag him down for a drink refill. Other tables, he made conversation with and was very friendly. We came to BRIO several times a year and have never experienced this from anyone.
It was Valentine’s Day and we also were going to the Aronoff. Our reservations were at 5:45. We did not get our dinner until almost 7:20 while at least one table next to us were served before us. We then had to eat rather fast due to our theater tickets for 8 PM. We were quite frustrated with how long it took.
Food was average at best. Service was awful. Waiter never checked on us once food was served. More interest in turning table than providing a pleasant dining experience.
Picked BRIO prior to going to show in Cincinnati. Reservation easy to make. Greeted at door and immediately taken to our table. Waitress came to table for drink order and asked if any questions.
Food was delicious. Enjoyed dessert and off to show in plenty of time.
We had a group of 5 for lunch, everyone liked their food and we had an attentive server.
There is nothing overly impressive about the menu. In fact, there was very little Italian about it. The service was excellent but everything else was mediocre. So, we tried it, was disappointed and thankfully, we are done with it.
Waiter was not helpful or patient
William was exceptionally efficient and helpful. He made sure we got to our movie with time to spare.
Great food and service! The salmon Fresca was delicious!!
Waited over an hour for food to come out.
Brio feels like an expensive high-end restaurant but manages to pull this off at a moderate price point. The food is never less than very good and is often excellent. A restaurant is defined by the quality of its soups was said by someone famous and worldly (not me); Brio's Tuscan Chicken Noodle Vegetable with Lemon is all you need to know if you buy into the notion of soup as a barometer of the quality of what the kitchen can produce.
Brio shares some things with its sister restaurant, Bravo, but Brio is a step up in both food and ambiance over Bravo. Yet, for $70 to $80 a couple can have a multi-course meal (including salad and soup) with a couple of beers (Peroni!) or a couple of glasses of wine from Brio's by-the-glass menu.
Upscale, casual, impressive, feels expensive -- and moderately priced. Winner (perhaps THE winner) in the up-scale chain restaurant battle for supremacy.
Some of the food (the vegetables)was overly salted but I told the waiter and they made a fresh and delicious batch.
We arrived 15 min early, and were sat immediately. Deanna did a wonderful job. She told us of the features and swiftly delivered our wine and bread. The cooks deserve just as much praise, the calamari and bruschetta lovely starters. Our entrees were delivered in a timely manner, not too fast, not too slow, perfect in timing. The temperatures of our steaks were exactly what we asked for. My wife’s pasta had a generous amount of seafood and the sauce was executed perfectly. Front to back, a wonderful experience.
Dinner with work friends
Delicious and productive!
Our server was very sweet, but brought out the wrong entree containing meat to my date who was vegetarian. The food we ordered was very low quality, and not what I expected from Brio. Don’t expect anything special. I’d choose Olive Garden or any other similar restaurant over Brio. Its not worth what Brio charges for entrees.
The noise was surprisingly loud as they were not very busy. Meals were good, server did okay although some delays were noted
The staff did not rush us through our meal - it was very relaxing.
We always enjoy Brio! I am a rewards member and the servers are excellent in giving me credit and check ins. We had Scott today. He is a 5 on customer service and prompt attention.
Our server Dan did an excellent job and we tried the stuffed chicken parmesan, new to us ,and found a new favorite. Can't wait to get back to Brio.
My only complaint if you could call it that is we had a party of 4 and the hostess wanted to seat us at a round table for 5 near the bar - not ideal for quiet conversation. However, I asked for another table and we were quickly accommodated. Will definitely return
Most of us had dark clothing on. We were going to the Aronoff afterwards. My mom was very upset that the napkins left white fibers on us that did not brush off. We had to walk around with them on us the rest of the night. The food and service was terrific!
Sucked I’ve made better pasta with Prego at home! Absolutely the worst experience
Just top notch! Food was delicious, warm and plentiful! Our waitress was amazing! On top of refilling our beverages, figuring out what kind of sauce my brother was requesting (Diablo) which was out of this world!!! Just an over all amazing experience! We will definitely be back!!
