BRIO Tuscan Grille - Newport - Newport On The Levee
We arrived 15 min early, and were sat immediately. Deanna did a wonderful job. She told us of the features and swiftly delivered our wine and bread. The cooks deserve just as much praise, the calamari and bruschetta lovely starters. Our entrees were delivered in a timely manner, not too fast, not too slow, perfect in timing. The temperatures of our steaks were exactly what we asked for. My wife’s pasta had a generous amount of seafood and the sauce was executed perfectly. Front to back, a wonderful experience.
Dinner with work friends
Delicious and productive!
Our server was very sweet, but brought out the wrong entree containing meat to my date who was vegetarian. The food we ordered was very low quality, and not what I expected from Brio. Don’t expect anything special. I’d choose Olive Garden or any other similar restaurant over Brio. Its not worth what Brio charges for entrees.
The noise was surprisingly loud as they were not very busy. Meals were good, server did okay although some delays were noted
The staff did not rush us through our meal - it was very relaxing.
We always enjoy Brio! I am a rewards member and the servers are excellent in giving me credit and check ins. We had Scott today. He is a 5 on customer service and prompt attention.
Our server Dan did an excellent job and we tried the stuffed chicken parmesan, new to us ,and found a new favorite. Can't wait to get back to Brio.
My only complaint if you could call it that is we had a party of 4 and the hostess wanted to seat us at a round table for 5 near the bar - not ideal for quiet conversation. However, I asked for another table and we were quickly accommodated. Will definitely return
Most of us had dark clothing on. We were going to the Aronoff afterwards. My mom was very upset that the napkins left white fibers on us that did not brush off. We had to walk around with them on us the rest of the night. The food and service was terrific!
Sucked I’ve made better pasta with Prego at home! Absolutely the worst experience
Just top notch! Food was delicious, warm and plentiful! Our waitress was amazing! On top of refilling our beverages, figuring out what kind of sauce my brother was requesting (Diablo) which was out of this world!!! Just an over all amazing experience! We will definitely be back!!
Our reservation was at 8:30 and we didn't get seated til.9:45, then took forever to get our food. Waitress was less than friendly.
Seated at 9:20 with an 8:30 reservation. Staff was very inaccurate about the wait estimates by saying what sounded good, but not realistic ("your table will be ready in 20 minutes", when it was actually 50 minutes). Mgr did compensate w/free apps.
We went for new year eve. Waited 20 minutes for an appetizer, another 25 for some soup and OVER another hour to get our entrees. The salmon piece was extremely small and very peppery. The broccoli was mushy.I expected a relaxing evening but this was much too time consuming. We ended up being late for another engagement.
My wife and I have had Brio's at Newport on the Levee as one of our top favorite restaurants for many years until now. The last several times we have been there the menu has changed and removed items that we liked and the food was not really hot when it should have been. We went with friends this past New Year's Eve and 2 of the 4 meals were not hot and the mashed potatoes continue to be awful (lumpy and cold). It took forever to get our meals; over 1 hour. Our favorite waiter, Scott, did everything he could to make our visit enjoyable even with the long wait. It seems that things have deteriorated since Brio's was taken over by another company. This is the first time that I have ever given Brio's a less than outstanding review. I think it might be time to move on since there are sooooo many restaurants to choose from.
2 of the items we asked for were out of stock and it was still early in the evening. The main reason we went there was for a specific menu item and they were out.
Nice location and our service was good. The food was not that good. Filet mignon was dry and overcooked. Pasta with zucchini has almost no zucchini in it.
Came early for brunch on Sunday morning. The restaurant was relaxing. We chose a high top table in the bar area. Very cozy!
Ronnie was our server. He was attentive and informative on menu options!
We’ll be back soon!
It’s always a pleasure to dine at thus resturant. We had company by for the holidays and this is one of our favorite place to go.
We had 12 people at a long table so most of the complaints were communicated to me after we left.
-one cold potatoes
-two undercooked steaks
-one undersized low quality cut of meat
-restaurant was out of 2 types of beer early on a Friday night
Generally poorly managed establishment. Sadly, it used to be a favorite but cannot imagine going back.
The service was poor, wait staff was good, but kitchen ran out of several entrees and appetizers. Very noisy... Was crowded.
We had a reservation on Christmas Eve but still waited almost an hour for our table. They seemed very disorganized and there were many people waiting. I like their food but may not come back on a big holiday.
I would not recomend it on Christmas Eve - we have been going to Brio on Christmas Eve for over 10 years now and it continually gets busier and feel like they are trying to cram more and more people in the dining room every year and th eait is longer even with reservations. If it not be a tradition my son wants to continue since my husband passed away this year I would not go on Christmas Eve any more. We waited forever for our Appetizer to the point the waitress gave us free dessert and they were our of some entree's.
Service was very slow and food was average at best
It was a jam-packed night for Brio's, even so, the wait was less than 15 minutes with a reservation. The waiter we had was on the ball and attentive. The food was terrific. For two of us, with one drink each, was $72.00.
Brio's was just fabulous for so many reasons. Dined there for an intimate birthday party of four and had an exceptional experience. Our server was attentive and accommodating. Our meals were delivered promptly. The Salmon salad is to die for, the Mushroom Ravioli is incredible with the sauce, and even the kids pizza never fails to delight. And the Italian olives - amazing.
Delicious food. Great service. Wonderful evening.
Changed reservations twice successfully to add more people. Lastly called the restaurant to add 3 more people and was also successful. Total of 13 final count. Have always enjoyed going to Brio and have for any years chosen them for our annual family Christmas get-together. My only real complaint (and it's a big one) is lack of Christmas decor, only poinsettias on tables - no tree. Truly a disappointment as Christmas atmosphere is missing.
Too bad. Restaurant was nearly empty with only 3-4 tables in that cavernous space for brunch so thought we’d get served quickly. But I ordered shrimp with polenta and they had to make it from scratch. No problem. However, when the dish arrived I had great polenta with under cooked, rubbery shrimp and overdone hard poached eggs. Of course they took it off the bill and luckily the uncooked shrimp did not make me sick but I would not return. My husband had the Sicilian omelet which he enjoyed but I had little to eat.
Always a good choice.. Yummy food. Good service and lovely atmosphere.
My group of coworkers visited Brio Tuscan Grille at the Levee to celebrate the holidays. We had a reservation and were seated right away, however we had to ask for the lunch menu, as we were only provided the larger evening menu. Our waiter was slow and did not appear to be enjoying his job... He was not very friendly or energetic, and was borderline snobby. We had to ask about the soup of the day, if there were any specials and for the dessert menu. I would think during the holidays, and with a larger group, he could have mustered up some holiday cheer. On the bright side, the food was good and a good time was had by all.
Over all very good experience. Only negative was service time. Waitress did a nice job but seemed to have to many tables...
Will come again
A few of our orders were incorrect and we were waiting a couple meals that didn’t arrive sometime before we were ready leave
We had a wonderful time at Brio yesterday at our office lunch. Everything was great...splitting two meals with a friend didn’t help me decide which one was better. We had the lasagne and spaghetti bolognese. Both were fantastic.
I know that when I go back I can order either of those and love them, but picking a favorite is impossible.
Great food and service!!!! Will definitely be back!
Michael our server was great!
Fish made him very sick and mashed potatoes were like wallpaper paste
Food was incredible! Service though was less than stellar. Took 20 minutes for the waiter to ask us about drinks and only checked on us once.
