BRIO Tuscan Grille - Naples - Waterside
Service was slow and sassy... would request a different server upon my return.
Great food. Excellent service. Can dine inside or out. Nice place.
Brio is one of our “go to” restaurants ... we dine there every time we attend an event at the Phil (so 20 to 25 times a year)! Good food, great staff ... a consistent restaurant!
Good food, good prices, great service . Parking is a bit difficult.
We frequent BRIO's during our travels because of the menu selections and the consistency. We have had service issues twice, at two different Brio's. The Naples waitress did not inform us of the specials, which we would have requested. She was in the back chatting with another employee while our glasses weren't filled and she was not attentive. The noodles in my lasagna were burned on the bottom. Otherwise, the food was great!
Worst Mother’s Day meal. We were sat at a table next the entrance, anytime someone came by they bumped the chair. We asked to be moved and they did accommodate our request. Same issue with that table but at least it wasn’t by the entrance. No waiter came to our table for at least 15 minutes. They would walk by us and pretend they didn’t see us. Finally a waiter comes to our table, takes our drink order and appetizers order. The calamari came before the drinks did. Don’t waste your time on the calamari. There was barely any on on the plate. The 2 sauce dishes were bigger than the amount of calamari. Meals were not good either. My mother has the vodka pasta, it was clumped all together and not edible. The chicken Milanese was so tough you needed a steak knife to cut it. The pasta was dry and bland. The other 3 people at our table ate their meals but they didn’t look pleasing to the eye. I asked for another drink. It never came out. Had to ask again and when it came out. It was so bad. The martini has been sitting at the bar for a long time and it was all vermouth. I sent it back and it took another 20 minutes and still not drinkable. We did speak to the manager and she did comp the calamari and my mother’s meal. The service was so slow and they servers kept spilling water and drinks all over the floor without cleaning it up. I was worried for anyone walking that they may slip. The place was not busy so I don’t know why the service and food was not good. I don’t think I will go back. I had to stop and get pizza on the way home because I didn’t eat anything.
I think our waiter may have been new. He didn't ask if we needed more water/wine, or would like dessert. He quickly brought our check, then picked up the signed copy of the receipt and quickly headed to the next table.
We had such a great time on Mother’s Day. Doug was an excellent server and sitting outside on such a glorious day was a blessing. Thanks for a wonderful experience…
The food was overpriced for what you ordered. I ordered a pan seared salmon and it had absolutely no seasoning or flavor and it was dry.
Arrived at the restaurant , was quiet inside for a Friday evening was shown to a booth we were the only customers in this part of the restaurant despite being some vacant tables in other area of the restaurant had to ask for a server to come over after sitting for 30 mins service very poor despite it being quiet and food less than average, lack of ambiance and no atmosphere due to where we were seated.
Have dined here on many previous occasions and it’s been great so very disappointing evening all round worse as we had brought friends with us, I’m sure they will not be returning.
Service was excellent. Loved the lasagna. Nice patio area.
Server was excellent. Carpaccio divine. Very nice experience
They denied having received the booking through Open Table for the 8.45pm reservation on 6th May, although we had received a confirmation on 5th May and a thank you email for dining with them on 6th May @7.29pm (at which time we hadn't even arrived). When calling to double check very impolite hostess informed us the kitchen closed sharp at 8.45pm, restaurant at 9.00pm (strange as the web site allowed table booking past 9.00pm) and if we were not there "tough luck". We were disappointing to say the least! Manager was helpful and sorted it out on our arrival, however seems pointless booking through the Open Table portal on the BRIO web site as they told us they rarely get the booking due to "Computer Problems"! Unlikely to make another reservation.
Food was good. A little warm with the doors open and some pesky gnats due to open concept. But overall worked well.
Enjoyed dining and the outdoors atmosphere while having our wine.
The service from Kyle was amazing and the food and wine selection was excellent.
Food was over cooked,
Brio has a wonderful atmosphere for a business lunch with the ladies. It is quite busy during season. Our favorite place to sit are the semi-outdoor booths. The lunch pairings are fantastic. Being from Maryland I am quite picky about my crab cakes and can reassure you Brio's are excellent. We have a server on a regular basis named Kyle, always on the ball, great sense of humor, even if he is a cat person (we are all dog people lol).
Food was great as always. I go all the time and the food is consistently good.
I always enjoy the food at Brio except for my most recent visit. The alfredo sauce was thin and watery. Somewhat like a white sauce that had not been cooked long enough. My three guests did enjoy their dinners (fish, salad, crab cake and soup) very much. I will always return to Brio. The food is unusually good for the price.
Normally I would give Brio all 5's but our server made my experience very annoying.
It started with waiting in line 15 minuted to let them know we were here for our 6:30 reservation , while the hostess was hassled by people wanting a table without a reservation .
Our server was very busy, I understand that, but other servers stopped at their tables to make sure everything was good.
Our dinners were served before our appetizers were taken away. Instead of clearing them the server crowed then onto the table making it impossible to eat anything.
Then our waiter told the kitchen to cook my lamb chops rare even though I had asked for medium rare, red but absolutely no purple. When my meal arrived and he finally stopped by our table my meal had to go back to the kitchen to be cooked to my liking.
By the way, that never woks. Once meat is removed from the heat it stops the cooking process, putting it back on only cooks the outside and never really the middle.
Food good service terrible
5 girlfriends enjoyed a wonderful lunch after a busy morning of shopping at Waterside Shops. Perfect end to a fun day! Service by Chris outstanding, food was excellent for 3 of us, that’s because of our menu choice. Nice lunch menu and value. Nice ambiance too. Will def go again!!!
This was our first time at Brio. We arrived at 815 pm for an 830 pm reservation. Our daughter's soft drinks arrived quickly and our prosecco about 15 minutes later. We eventually we able to order dinner although we knew immediately what we wanted. We were then told that the restaurant was out of bread and they didn't make any more because it was late. Poor planning on their part because we had reservations, so there was no excuse for no bread. Our food (main course only with a side salad) came around 9 pm. Our server came back at about 925 pm with our check. We asked to order dessert but were told it was too late. The kitchen was closed. Our server checked again but again we were told it was too late for dessert. We left the restaurant at 927 pm in dismay. The food was good, but the restaurant was not full. We had reservations and arrived early, so there was no excuse for the slow service, one course only and no dessert. A proper restaurant would have checked for a dessert order before the kitchen counter closed. A good restaurant would have at least provided some kind if option for dessert.
We live part of the year in Italy and part in Naples. A restaurant with this level of client attention would not survive where we live in Italy!
Always good service and good food. Nice atmosphere in bar
waiter was terrible and unfriendly. food was not what we thought.
The food couldn’t have been worse. Sorry we didn’t send it back. Won’t be back
This restaurant consistently is unable to time properly the delivery of an appetizer and the following delivery of the main course. Repeatedly on visits for dinner waitstaff brings the main course before the client has come close to finishing his/her appetizer. It is obviously a poorly trained waitstaff that has no idea how to place orders and time their preparation with the kitchen and the client trying to enjoy each item he/she has ordered. I cannot recommend this restaurant for its poorly trained staff practices which go unaddressed.
One of our party members had a problem with his order. Waitress never came back to check on everything and those that did come back got it wrong again or disappeared all together.
Very enjoyable early dinner in comfortable setting. Waiter, Amanda, was especially patient and attentive. Recommended.
Das Medium Steak war „durch“
Wasser, Brot und Butter nur auf Nachfrage
Recht langsame Bedienung
Service was good not outstanding. At times it was hard to find our server.
Was there when it first opened and interior was heat but now restaurant inside was tired looking.
We enjoyed our outside table a lot but the service was somewhat slow. Fortunately we were with good friends and the wait time wasn't a huge problem...but we did have a show to get to.
Not at all our usual experience at Brio. Service very poor-possibly short-staffed? Steaks all overdone, pasta very ordinary and spicy pasta not pointed out by server. We will go back but another experience like this will end our long association with Brio as one of our favourite restaurants. Patrick
I have been to Brio a few times, but this was the first time I had to wait more than a half an hour after I placed my order to receive my food. The other guest at the table enjoyed their food, but I didn't care for the taste of the meat in the lasagna. The rest of the lasagna was very good & the food was extremely when it came out.
Went for Easter lunch with a cousin. I thought it would be crowded, pleasantly it was not. We were still able to get the brunch menu - selections were limited - so I ordered off the regular and my cousin did order off the brunch.
All in all it was fine and being that it was not too noisy we were able to sit and talk.
Our waiter Richie was great. We had a wonderful time.
The food was very good and fairly priced. Service was fairly prompt but the waiter was a little too casual. He kept referring to me and my wife as “you guys”.
Very average food and below average service. Nice ambiance though.
Poor interior environment. Should have known it was going to be bad when saw the condition of the waiting areas. Service was abhorrent to say the least. The food sounded good on the menu but was either salty or bland. One of the worst experiences we have had in the Naples area. Surprised that this restaurant was full.
