BRIO Tuscan Grille - Naples - Waterside
Since moving to Naples 4 years ago we have dined at Brio many times. Brunch, lunch and dinner are always wonderful. The gluten free menu has a nice selection of dishes, and we love dining outside.
My favorite restaurant because of the unique menu options. I had two Appetizers which I shared with a friend. Shrimp with Eggplant and Crab cakes. Both delicious.
Pasta with pesto and shrimp was fair. Disappointed
the service and lack of attention needs to be improved. it was a nightmare.
Excellent service from Ernesto. We sat outside, took our time, and didn't feel that anyone was rushing us. Salmon cooked to perfection.
Service was poor. Server took order wrong and never refilled our drinks even once in spite of asking her and we never got any bread even after asking. Service in the past has always been great. Not sure what happened this time.
The ambiance was good, however, they sat us next to the kitchen indoors and it was very loud coming from the kitchen besides the already loud noise in the restuarant. We asked for seconds on the crackers and they came and were stale. I had the beef and it was good except I did not like the cheese on it. Wife had the shrimp capri and it was good but the pasta was not soft. Desert was a flan, I liked she did not.
A true class act. Always fun to visit both Brios and Bravos
Both our meals were not hot. We were in a rush to get to the show and could not send the food back. It took a long time to get the food so it must have been sitting waiting to be delivered m
Two different pasta dishes were very dry and way undercooked. We’ve been to brio many times and it seems the food quality is not what if used Tyne.
Love eating at Brio outside area. Enjoyed apps and holiday sangria.
New management and new menu brought some disappointment when we realized some favorites (burrata appetizers among others) have been removed fr the menu. Our server was rude, throwing silverware and menus across the table to our party. We won't return, unfortunate, this was one of our go-to spots
I would like to sit further away from the kitchen and noisy dishes and pans clattering. Other than that, we all enjoyed our meals very much. The waitress was outstanding! I don't know her name--tall, dark gal with an Italian accent (I think.) Really enjoyed the Sorrento soup.
I enjoy dining at Brio's, but I was disappointed this time. It started with a moderate wait for someone to visit our table and take our order. My wife ordered soup, and got her soup with a spoon that needed more time in the dishwasher. After she requested a new spoon, I watched our waitress grab a spoon out of a container, then reach in for another spoon. Apparently still not satisfied, she went to ask someone about it. I think she was told to clean a spoon, because I saw her a minute later wiping spoon as she approached our table. We were a fairly early reservation for dinner, but we noticed a mess under the table across the aisle from us. Apparently, the cleaning crew had the day off.
It is always worthwile to stay. The waitresses are very helpful and the food is in an excellent value. We will defenitly go back to BRIO waterside.
My only “gripe” was that my food was tepid. I ordered the salmon and would have enjoyed it mire if it were warm/hot.
The chopped salad was pretty good but the shrimp and lobster fettuccine was lacking enough shrimp and lobster and the sauce was not as good as usual.
We enjoyed Sunday Brunch prior to attending a performance at Artis-Naples. Food was good - service very attentive and friendly but not rushed.
Waitress was indifferent to our special requests and made no effort to please us. Missed our appetizer/salad orders. Never asked if we wanted a second round of drinks.
Checks were wrong. Food was just mediocre
Excellent food but noisy.
brio was a go to everytime we went to the theater in naples. they changed the menu, they changed the cook, but not for the better.we may not be back.
Great service from Orlando! The food was just disappointing. The house salad had some sort of greens that were very bitter. I didn’t eat it and it was comped. The pasta Bolognesi was just bad. The texture of the pasta seemed like leftover pasta that was reheated. Not fresh or al dente. It was great to sit outside on a beautiful evening but there are so many great places to eat in Naples. We won’t be back
Always dependable with good service
Servers were constantly walking by checking themselves out in the mirror right next to our table. Didn’t like my drink asked for another still got charged for two. Husband got the wrong meal brought out to him. Asked for the stuffed chicken parm and got the lasagne. When the chicken Parm finally got there it was barely stuffed. We won’t be back. $70.00 worth of okay food and not good service.
My husband and I shared a chopped Salad and Pollo Caprese. This was split in the kitchen; we each received a small salad and half the entree. This was a class act. Puts Brio in a class above most other restaurants in their care for their customers.
Very good food and service. I really recommend for everyone.
This venue seems to have gone downhill since we were last there six months ago. We weren’t sure if the waiter Michael was ill or intoxicated ... he acted very strangely. He threw plates down on the table, gave my husband half a glass of soda then moaned when he wanted a refill. The food was just ok but we had to wait so long for it to arrive. We had a reservation for 7.45 but to us that isn’t late.... however to BRIO it must be as staff were sweeping up around us! The last straw was when the waiter poked my husband in the ribs to say ! D’ya want more soda?’ Very strange behaviour indeed! Doubtful we will be returning which is a shame as we have been visiting on and off for the last ten years whilst on vacation in the area.
Used to be very good place for a bit of an upscale dinner. Now food not good and noticed a once packed place had mostly empty tables. Would not return
Food and dining experience is always enjoyable!
Service was excellent!
Food was mediocre with the exception of the carpaccio which was very good. I had the luncheon combo of chopped salad and spaghetti bolognese for $13. The salad was limp and swimming in dressing. There was not more than 4 mouthfuls of spaghetti and it was supposed to be 1/2 and entree size. Certainly not worth the money paid. Sitting outside on a beautiful day with great service was a real plus!
Maybe the worst service and food in the whole of SW Florida. Dreadful experience. Restaurant half empty when we go there at 5 PM Sunday. No one came to our table to take our drinks order so after TEN minutes went to find a manager. Eventually she got our server. Took another 20 minutes to get our drinks. Our order was taken, took forever to get a basket of bread too. Food took almost an our to arrive, this after we had to find the manager to complain. My pasta order was inedible. NO SAUCE. Drier than Phoenix in the summer. Sent it back and by this time I had had enough. Called manager again and her response, wait for it: SO WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO ABOUT IT?
The patio area was not well maintained. Many tables were not cleared which attracted birds sitting on the tables and on the floor, which needed to be swept. The house salad was uninspired and obviously premade with soggy and mostly white iceberg lettuce. The Branzino special and lasagna were excellent.
Food was cold and took a long time to arrive. Had to chase the waiter for drink refills. The corker of the evening was that we could have cappuccinos because they’d run out of milk! Won’t be going back.
Food was mediocre. Not enough sauce on either entree. No sauce on one entree. Bland and boring.
Consistently good food. Very fresh Varied menu. Mushroom Ravioli is to die for!
Had not been to Brio for a couple of years, and will not be rushing back for the following reasons:
- although the reservation was for 4 people, we were seated in a small booth, with barely enough tabletop room for the wine and water glasses
- our server was less than attentive, and we repeatedly had to request a drink refill from other passing staff
- the food, apart from the beef carpaccio, was very lack luster. However, the bill was almost $300!
Our "special" Jumbo Shrimp Salad was miss represented. There were 4 very small shrimp on the platter! Waiter said he would talk to the chef, but we doubt that because the kitchen, which is full view and hearing (very loud) range, was extremely busy. No cheese was requested (lactose allergy) but cheese was on the platter. Too busy to care for individual customers. How about building a wall around the kitchen area? All during dinner we were subject to loud talking and slamming plates. Not very pleasant. Not coming back. Food quality was uninspiring. Rigitoni and chicken was pasty and tasteless.
Nice environment, good service, and the food was very good.
Good food & service.
