BRIO Tuscan Grille - McLean - Tysons Corner
Waiter was excellent. Food was good and he automatically split our salad. I think that the value was reasonable. Restaurant was empty so we didn’t feel badly about sitting and chatting.
We went on a Saturday night to celebrate. Reservations were made ahead of time and there was still a wait. That was not the issue, the issue was overall the service from beginning to end. We waited at the bar and the lady assisting was beyond rude. She wagged a finger at my friend to tell her to hold and with everything she did came an attitude. Next to finally being seated, gentleman was kind but we saw him once, for our order. We never got bread until we asked 4x, or waters didn't come till a few min before our cold food was served. The excuse for everybody this evening was that they were busy. This is understandable but should not be the excuse why we got crappy service. Very disappointed.
The food was great. The waiters service was horrible only checked on us 1 time.
We had our quarterly team lunch here. We got a nice round table in a secluded area so we could have some privacy. the food was delicious, and service was fast. We were in and out in a little over hour. The portion sizes for lunch menus were perfect - not too large or not too small. Wait staff could have been more attentive during the service with water etc. We had to keep seeking them out. Good time over all.
I ordered fish well done it came rare. It was oily and did not taste fresh. The vegetables were over cooked to the point if being charred. The house salad tasted like parsley. It was really not enjoyable.
Hadn’t been here in a while and was as good as I remember. Service could have been a bit more attentive, but overall good experience.
Have not been here in awhile. Loved the HH margarita pizza - $5. Good portion and tasty. HH drinks well made - $5. Bartender was nice. Also bought a side salad with added grilled chicken... good portion too yummy. Will go back again!
Went for lunch. Good menu selection. Good portion size. Chicken was a bit rubbery. Lunch entrees were dinner prices. Service was excellent. Overall, good experience. Will go back.
We love Brio for dinner, but this was brunch. The brunch menu was limited & even more so for my no gluten needs. I probably should have ordered the veggie omelet rather than the Sicilian omelet which had 3 or 4 kinds of breakfast meat. I ordered it because it was accompanied by breakfast potatoes which were very good. Our friend ordered the veggie omelet which was smaller & looked delicious. I also ordered orange juice which was clearly not fresh squeezed. Service was attentive, but our waiter was hard to understand. Another server brought somebody else's food to our table. I would definitely recommend Brio for dinner but not for brunch.
Kinda cold food ...
food was just adequate
seated in the outside of restaurant area (facing the elevators in the mall) when the restaurant was mostly empty
This was my third time in Brio. The first two times were good but this visit was quite disappointing. The highlight of the evening was that we were greeted very pleasantly at the door. After we sat down and got our menus it took more than 20 minutes for someone to get our order. Looking at the menu, I noticed how similar everything was. I ordered the Bistecca and asked for medium. It was definitely well done and borderline tough and dry and the presentation wasn't all that great either. I was disappointed as I was looking forward to eating here again because my first two visits (to the Fair Oaks Mall outlet) was very good. So I would recommend it but with some reservations. And to finish, we were given our bill while still eating dessert, something I always find a bit off putting, as if they can't wait to get us out of there. Oh well, guess you can't win every time.
Nice place to eat but alot of noise from the mall area.
Easily accommodated a group of 9. A little bit of a wait for entrees, but not bad. Tasty food, good portions. Waitress knowledgeable about dishes, was able to answer questions about different sauces and pastas. No pressure to order dessert or drinks. Quiet enough to be able to talk, even across the table.
I went for the lasagna special in celebration of National Lasagna day. The lasagna was okay - I have had much better in a number of other Italian restaurants. I don't think this is their strongest menu offering. Still a restaurant that I would recommend and I will return although I will order something other than the lasagna.
Excellent food and service!!
Although the food was exquisite we were not very happy with the service. We were not offered the bread in the beginning and we had to ask for it so it arrived with the main dishes. Overall the service was late although the restaurant wasn’t very busy.
Additionally, although we were a big family group, the hostess tried to sit us at the veranda which is in the mall and said nothing else was available. When we asked to be sorted inside she said she would try to get a table prepared for us and we were sitter within 5 minutes.
Food was good but our beef medallions were ordered as rare but came out as medium.
As always, good service and good food
We felt rushed to order our food, to place our order, to eat.
I understand that the restaurant closes at 10 but there is no need to have people sit in @ 8:45 and rush them off to finish off so you can go home, where is the customer service! Will never go back
Food and service is always great. I recently went to a plant based diet and the Mediterranean salad (minus cheese) is exquisite. Very fresh, beautiful selection of vegetables with a perfectly paired lemon dressing. I added a side of their grilled vegs (with olive oil and not butter) and thoroughly enjoyed my meal. Our server Amber did a wonderful job. My husbands fav is the chicken limone which is always very good.
Food was great as always. Service could’ve been better. Our server spoke very softly and forgot two of my party’s orders. The manager came out and gave us free dessert to try to make up for it.
Brio use to be my go to Italian restaurant. Over the years the food quality has diminshed; it is horrible. My lobster and shrimp fettuccine was way too creamy; lacked taste and that wow factor. My partner had an equally poor quality, bland dish. Service lacked; where is my waiter I kept asking?
Spend your hard earned money elsewhere.
My husband and I needed a lamb chop fix, and we had eaten at the Brio in Boca Raton. As usual, we shared the chop salad, which was very good, and we each ordered lamb chops. I changed the potatoes to the yukon gold mashed potatoes, which were delicious. The lamb chops were tender and delicious, but I felt that they were too salty. The waiter and waitress were very apologetic, and replaced my entire dinner with lamb chops etc. that were not salty. Both of us were very happy. Also, we ordered the lava chocolate cake and vanilla ice cream for dessert, which was delicious. We sat "outside" at the restaurant, which meant we could watch everyone walking by. That was interesting, and much quieter than the regular restaurant inside.
Ou waiter, Brandon, was excellent. The food was only average. I had a watery sangria to start. My entree was the shrimp and lobster fetuccine. The Alfredo sauce was very good, but the shrimp was tasteless and undercooked and the lobster sparse and chewy. The bread basket was quite nice.
Good service. Food was cooked right
Food was disappointing.
Italian food should not be stodgy with little taste.
puishing for moving the costumors.the liquer with the least.your food, main course was very good.the desert was vey good.the service was very good.i feel sory for the watress.shape up .you suppose to be a first class restorant.
Brio has fallen behind other restaurants in its area and at its level. The service was effective, however, the food left much to be desired. The Calamari was actually okay, but visually looked uncooked. The Steak Gorgonzolo Medallions also tasted better than they appeared, however, the vegetables served with the medallions were a disaster. Also, I'd request adding Coke products over Pepsi and carrying a better variety of hot sauces than just Tabasco (Siracha, for instance).
Brio is always a great choice. The menu has classic Italian favorites and fun desserts. It’s always a fun dining experience. Also, excellent service.
Mediocre at best. The lettuce in the Caesar salad was wilted. The dressing must have come out of a bottle and obviously they use bagged croutons. My pasta was dry and the sauce was very bland.
The waiter was new and slow and needed to be asked twice for obvious items like a clean utensil or the appropriate menu for the meal period, however the food was outstanding.
Nothing to add but just a regular place without any added value for the money.
Pasta was really bad...
Another wonderful dining experience
Service was horrendous. And nobody was in the restaurant no excuse to not have good service. This used to be my favorite Italian restaurant definitely no desire to return.
Delicious Italian food. Brio really focuses to make sure you have a positive dining experience.
From the time we arrived (30 minutes late) to the the time we departed, our experience was top-notch! The concierge/hostess was very accommodating and we did not have to wait but about 5 minutes before being seated. Our waiter was very attentive, and handled an issue we experienced while dining, very professionally.
The food quality is always consistent at very location I've visited and tasty! And, the atmosphere is very welcoming.
It was AWFUL started with the terrible service given at hostess stand that makes you want to walk away but you can’t because it’s Mother’s Day. Then it’s an overpriced RAW lobster tail sent back and still returned a state of raw. Then its a pairing of turf a 7oz steak that is ordered medium and served medium rare with no dazzle for $45.00! What a terrible value and although edible a true surf and turf Mother's Day special disappointment. The rest of the table had lasagna and didn’t even finish it came like minced beef soggy and wet and crispy somehow pasta with an underwhelming sauce and they charge $19.00 for lasagna that’s the crazy part you would expect minimal perfection for that. The manager while visible was simply because he was being called to many tables but he seemed in the weeds and unable to truly give a good service himself after multiple complaints just smiling and nodding. Don’t go unless you’re the only one there and even at that- good luck on your experience. I'd opt for the comp bread, its yummy and a nice Flirty Cosmo from the bar directly, at least its worth the value.
We had a reservation and had to wait 45 minutes to be seated. There was no apology or acknowledgment of the long wait to be seated or inconvenience. Service was slow. They were not prepared for the volume on Mother's Day. They had run out of the food on the brunch menu. Food was good but will be reluctant to return due to poor customer service.
