BRIO Tuscan Grille - Lombard - The Shops on Butterfield
My lunch partner’s ravioli was very salty and the server properly removed the item from the bill. My lasagne was very good
I had heard great things about Brio. But we did not have a good experience -out of the seven of us Only one enjoyed their meal. The calamari was undercooked, the artichoke dip was cold , The chop salad was Wilted and wet, the shrimp in my pasta was overcooked. I won’t go on. But I will say that the Lobster bisque was amazing!
Birthday celebration. Nothing special (e.g. no birthday dessert) from Brio.
Excellant food and fantastic service. A bargin. We were very happy.
Always a good time at Brio Tuscan Grille. Food is tasty and diverse. The servers make it a point to please.
Beautiful day, sat outside on the patio. Milanese chicken super tasty and great service.
We sat outside and it was lovely. The food was very good however our waitress was not attentive.
Normally love going to this Brio, unfortunately on our last visit- service was terrible! Waiter rarely checked on us if we needed refills or anything. He just seemed mad that he even was at work. Food took over an hour and a half, half our food came out cold.
I'm assuming that my less than positive review is due to the fact that the restaurant was very busy for Mothers' Day. My wife and I arrived about 5 minutes early for our 6:30 reservation and were seated right away. The waitress came right away to get our drink order and then our soup and salad order. We were done with that around 6:45 and had put in our food order when we received the soup and salad. We both ordered the Shrimp and Lobster fettuccini. The waitress came by at 7:30 to simply say that she checked on the status of our food and it was almost ready, with no apology for the delay. It was almost an hour by the time that the food was delivered to our table. We certainly expected more than a few scraps of lobster for the cost of the meal. After we finished eating, the waitress placed the dessert menu on the table and walked away. She returned about 10 minutes later to find out that we had no interest in having dessert. I have been to this restaurant a few times before. I was very surprised that the food and service left a lot to be desired.
We attended Brio for Mother's Day. The atmosphere and service was very good, but the food was okay, but underwhelming at best--especially given the prices. A bit of a disappointment.
Very busy most likely due to Mother’s Day.
Extremely long wait for food - took over an hour and fifteen minutes. Main staff very apologetic and covered the cost of our meal. Believe they also covered cost of quite a few other groups tonight.
Wait staff were good the problem seemed to be the chefs were either understaffed or just overwhelmed.
Have had no issues with Food, staff, and restaurant, when not busy the past few visits.
A Mothers Day dinner @6 PM, turned into a fiasco! Seated promptly with drink/appetizer order within 15 minutes, at which time we placed our dinner orders as well. We witnessed 2, 6-person tables get seated after us, eat, and pay, over the time period of 1.75 hours. We still had not been served our entrees, or even checked on by our server. She disappeared for over an hour. Manager settled our bill, but no explanation!? What gives?
Food there is awesome. Never had anything there I did like. I always order the calamari
The pasta dressings tend to be a little bland. One of the entrée, shrimp scampi had lots of pasta with very little taste. We had a pleasant, reasonably priced Aperol Spritz aperitif.
We dined here with ten people for Mother’s Day.
We enjoyed the experience and would return again.
We visited Brio on Mother's Day for brunch, but were originally given their normal lunch/dinner menu...at 10am. LOL! We had to ask for the brunch menu, which was very limited. I understand the restaurant does not normally serve breakfast, so I guess it makes sense that there would be so few options. None of those options could be altered in any way (for example, I would have loved the vegetarian omelette without mushrooms, but alterations to the menu as written were not allowed). So half of our party "settled" for our 2nd choice. When the food arrived, the serving size was smaller than I'd have expected. I don't like stuffing myself so I'm glad it wasn't packed, but I'd have liked to have felt full when I was done.
Despite those things, the food itself was excellent. And the service was impeccable. We will try Brio again during their normal business hours to really be able to give them an honest review, since again, we were there outside the times they specialize in.
We waited 45 mins after our reservation time and we got there on time. Ordered the lamb chops and they weren’t good. The meat was too old. Disappointed because we’ve been here before and the service/food was way better
Very slow service - took about 1 hour to get drinks and had to ask about 3-4 times for several items. Also very limited vegetarian selections.
We felt very rushed through dinner. Crowded because of Mother’s Day weekend. Very noisy. Food was excellent.
Had reservation and arrived 7 minutes late. Had to wait an additional 30 mins before betting seated.
Hostess told us it would be a moment. Had to request bread from our server. Our server was very rarely at the table.
Food was delicious, but portion size was way too small for the price.
Great area in bar at the high top table; able to catch sports event. Fantastic limon chicken and ambiance.
Sat down with my family. Waited 10 minutes just for a kids menu. 15-20 minutes later and still no server. We got up and walked out.
The place , staff and the food were excellent. The only troubling thing we found was the entrance. Both myself and my party had trouble finding the entrance. I parked by the Large Brio sign but found the entrance on the other side of the building facing the mall. My friends tried to get I. Through the outside seating area and found the doors locked
The service is attentive, never rushed and always timely.
Food selection is good and the chicken was delicious.
Great food service was good definitely going back soon
Went to Sunday brunch, first time, was very good. Service was excellent!
FOOD EXCELLENT. SERVICE TERRIFIC. NICE SPACE. NO ONE RUSHING US. BOTH THE BRIDE AND I THOUGHT THIS MAY BECOME OUR FAVORITE GO TO PLACE.
We had a wonderful experience at Brio. The food was great and the service was exceptional - attentative, but not overbearing. We hosted two friends, and it was a perfect place to enjoy the conversation and the food. I would recommend it to anyone.
For price should be better. High priced meals that are short on flavor and quantity. Service slow. Veggies tasted like they were from a frozen bag, soggy. Not impressed.
Everything was nice but the waiter seemed to want to move us along. Kept checking back every few to see if we wanted to order and then wanted to bring the bill without asking for dessert.
I've always loved Brio, but I am very disappointed with the dinner I was served this week.
I ordered mushroom ravioli and it came with 6 rather dry ravioli and no sauce on the plate at all.
That's the first time I was served this dish like that. The server said that it is always served like that to which I replied that I've eaten at Brio quite a lot and this was a favorite dish of mine and I've NEVER been served this particular dish like that. I asked for some sauce and he brought me a cup with MAYBE 1/4 cold mushroom sauce in it. I had to ask for cheese. There was also no greens added for presentation.
great food, quiet surroundings and nice patio area. Service was pleasant and prompt.
everything very nice, except noise -- extremely loud -- server had to lean in face to hear order
Our family was able to enjoy an Easter brunch together - most delicious food and attentive service. We’d do it all over again!
The restaurant feels as if its in a state of decline. I know that its part of a chain, and so perhaps more able to withstand a decline in popularity for some time before throwing in the towel, but it had the feel of heading in that direction. Slightly understaffed for a Saturday evening, small portions, no specials...all of these things carry the whiff of cutting costs just to hang on. With so many alternatives in the west suburbs at this price point, I can't see this restaurant surviving into 2020. But its in my town, so I hope that I'm wrong about that.
Great restaurant in the Yorktown Mall in Lombard. Great service, good food and lots of choices. I’ve never been disappointed. Their salmon dishes are top notch! I happily recommend it!
Service was wonderful, food was great, very quiet, which was nice
It was ok, but nothing that I would consider outstanding. Our waiter seemed more involved with a big party that was going to be in his section than us and while he did provide service, he just seemed to be in such a hurry - all the time we were there. It made us feel like we had to hurry to get out of there!
This is our go to spot for girl's night out! We always enjoy Karen and Jay!
