BRIO (meaning "lively" or "full of life") is a "polished casual" restaurant serving authentic, northern Italian cuisine. The subtitle, "Tuscan Grille" is descriptive for a menu that features oven-roasted steaks, chops, and seafood; similar to what one would find in an authentic ristorante in Tuscany. BRIO's philosophy of "to eat well, is to live well" is why they only use the finest and freshest ingredients. BRIO brings the pleasure of a Tuscan country villa to the American city. Food was excellent. Very slow at service and reservation time. Took 45 min to get seated and another 20 just to get water. Food was phenomenal

Good food, but service was a little slow due to the Hallmark Holiday of Valentine’s Day. Waitress was really nice and was as responsive as she could be.

The reservations were delayed by almost an hour. We arrived for our 7:15 reservation at 7:10, and when we entered the building there was people waiting everywhere. When we asked the woman up front about the wait time, she simply replied “we will text you when your table is ready”, and did not want to provide an estimated wait time. We checked in, and we’re finally seated at 8:00.

We then ordered our food, the appetizers came out fairly quickly. The server was nice and well mannered. Then the entrees came out, mine was cold, my fiancé’s was warm. Fairly disappointing considering the fiasco that was even getting seated to begin with.

Overall, an OK experience. It was frustrating though, really put a black mark on our Valentine’s Day evening.

Waitress wasn't attentive and took forever. Food took an hour to come out and we had a reservation and still took us 30 min to be seated.

I made reservations for 6:30 and did not get seated until 7:10. I understand that it’s a busy Friday night but they need to do better planning reservation wise and estimating time of dining because I was not the only person who was more than 30 minutes past their reservation time. Waitress was good and food was alright. Good drinks! Waiting for 40 minutes really just put a damper on the night.

I have always been very pleased with my dining experiences with Brio Tuscan Grille, Lombard. All of my guests have also been pleased and many have returned with other friends and family.

Food is always good, service excellent and for special occasions, it was a great experience. Rose petals for birthday celebrations are a nice enhancement and should be continued.

We went to this place for my nephew’s birthday. This place is the best of the best. The people working there are super helpful and kind. The food is amazing and it has a great selection. It is a great place to go for special events. Thanks again BRIO Tuscan Grille 😘

6:30pm reservation for 2 people, arrived and was told they were running 10-15 min behind. At 7:00 checked in again and was told there were still 3 parties ahead of us. Decided to sit at the bar to eat because space opened up. 10 min later when we were about to walk out, someone finally greeted us and took our order. Food was nothing compared to previous experiences. Majorly disappointed.

We had a 6:30 reservation and were not seated until 7:00. They told us open table allows too many reservations and they cannot seat everyone on time. Once seated very very poor and slow service.

We had not eaten here in, perhaps, 10 years and remembered enjoying our dinner then. Arrived five to ten minutes early and the greeters avoided eye contact; others were repeatedly asking about when they'd be seated. We were seated within five minutes of the res; nice waitress; ordered drinks and an appetizer. Bread came with a pat of butter - no olive oil, which seemed odd for an Italian place. After our drinks and appetizer plate had been removed and a more than 20 minute wait, we were about to stand up and get our check, when the dinner plates came. I discovered that they'd spent that extra 20 minutes overcooking my dish. Fairly limited and standard menu; no specialties, which would probably have been sad.
I think i'm being harsh, because i hate leaving less than 20% as a tip. All i need is a decent meal without any aggravation. Couldn't do it this night. Won't be back

There was a mistake with our reservation but they still made it work and saved our dinner plan. Waiter did not rush us at all and served us well. Lobster bisque was great as always.
Everyone loved the specials.
Brio is always appreciated when friends are in town

I was in Brio this morning celebrating my wife’s birthday. When we walked in there was a beautiful, well decorated table with rose petals. There was also a birthday card. I recommend Brio to everybody who has something special to celebrate. The lobster and shrimp risotto was espectacular. My dish was the grilled pork chops that were nice and tender. We were very happy that they even gave us a free dessert. Thank you so much for the great experience we will be back 😍 and I almost forgot they have a beautiful bqt room for a private events

Our service was great. We ordered salad and dinner with a glass of wine. I had the shrimp and pasta, my husband had the steak and my daughter had the lamb chops. All were delicious. We had the tiramisu which was excellent. Most importantly the food was served promptly. We will definitely go back.

Food was very good. The server did a good job, but could have been more attentive. I ordered a a whiskey from the bar but they served me a different rye. It was acceptable, but the glass rim had a chip in it.

Carlos saved the day! We had 7pm reservations but there appeared to be a large party that took all of our servers time. We were sitting for over 10 minutes and no one had come by to greet us or provide water. I finally got up and flagged another waiter and asked if we could have service, otherwise, we were willing to go to the bar. He said he would take care of us that is how Carlos saved the day! Great service, very friendly. The flatbread chicken pizza is TO DIE FOR. Carlos even offered us free dessert just for our inconvenience of waiting. Brio does not disappoint - great food and great prices.

Enjoyed the lunch combo of etc. soup and lasagna. Kudos on both items. Especially enjoy the soup on a cold January day. Was disappointed in the wait staff service at this particular lunch. Felt like second class diners with attention paid to a larger group while we were three in number.

In comparison to Las Vegas, it doesn’t compare. Lombard location has more of a Olive Garden feel.

We booked a family dinner here for my daughter's 16th birthday. They set up a lovely table and even lined the center with fresh rose petals and left a sweet birthday greeting for her on the table. Super friendly and attentive service and the food was fantastic! We dine here frequently so I knew the food and service wouldn't disappoint, now seeing how graciously and professionally they handle large parties I have one more thing to rave about. Thanks to the staff at Brio for a lovely evening!

My friend and I met up to celebrate our birthdays at BRIO as we have for years. We both used to work in the area and would come here often. The service is always great and the food’s good. It’s the perfect place to sit and catch up.

Just went to grab my leftovers and found that our waiter gave us each other’s. Too bad because I was looking forward to my leftovers not hers. I guess I get to try something I hadn’t ordered in the past. Next time we’ll need to check our leftovers before we leave.

My mashed potato's were cold while my chicken limone was hot?????? Room was NOT busy....why does that happen.??
This is the second time in a row that part of my entree was cold. This should not happen even if you were busy!!!
I'll try one more time.

Maybe it was because we visited on New Year's Day that the service was very slow. The servers were pleasant enough, but it took a long time to order and a long wait to get our food. The food itself was just okay, and the menu was interesting. However, I had the overwhelming feeling not of being in an Italian restaurant but in a Greek family diner.

Not crowded so you would think the service and food would be excellent
Service was poor, we had to ask for drink refills, bread basket and waiting for food
When food was served it was not warm, assumed it was sitting under warm light waiting for waiter pick up
Poor value for price
Will not return

Brio should never have taken reservations for New Year's Eve. What a disaster. My wife and I felt so sorry for the hostess. Even with the reservation we got tired of waiting, turned in our buzzer, and walked next door to Doc Wine Bar,where we were treated like royalty and seated right away. Just be aware Brio there are other options.

We are fans of BRIO. But on New Year’s Eve the experience fell short- delayed seating beyond reservation time (which was an early slot), slow service (although pleasant), appetizer was so delayed that table next to us that was seated 25 minutes later than us) received appetizers first. And we only ordered bruschetta. Appetizer came with entrees. Bill was wrong. I anticipated NYE would be busy but this just was a lackluster experience in multiple ways. Plus the waiter kept calling me Mom. Annoying.

We had an early dinner on NYE at 4:30. The service was excellent and by the time we left at 6:00 the place was jammed. Reservations were essential, but the food & whole experience was excellent.
