BRIO Tuscan Grille - Irvine - Spectrum Center
Service was friendly, and specialty drinks were good. Disappointed though overall because most of the entrees except the lamb chops were either way overly salted, hardly any marsala sauce with the Chicken Marsala nor lemon sauce with the Chicken Milanese.
Spaghetti Carbonara had too much pancetta, the chopped side salad was unflavored and small although the side green salad with lemon vinegarette was worth it. The worst things we ordered were the appetizers, calamari was little tiny pieces with chunks of Other fried things, and the spinach artichoke dip tasted sour. Based on the food we would nor go back there.
Shrimp and lobster fettuccine very salty, was disappointing
Food was over cooked dry and somewhat tasteless. I ordered the pasta with pesto, it was dry and tasteless. Someone else ordered the chicken cutlets, dry, hard, cold. My husband ordered a lobster pasta it was just OK. The Lasgne was the most tasty of the items we tried.
My impression is that dishes are not cooked to order but prepared in advance and reheated.
We eat at this Brio on a regular basis. This past visit, it was a for a family brunch on Sunday. The service is excellent at this location, the head chef even popped out to check if our dishes arrived the way we liked it. The restaurant interior is open, comfortable and welcoming. And the menu is wide enough so that you can lean towards healthier options when you're in the mood. We look forward to our next meal there!
New waiter seemed to be a bit frazzled. Food has improved and always accommodating my modifications. Still one of our favorite restaurants in the area.
Food is not as good as it used to be. Served a warm chocolate cake that was microwaved.
Ordered steak medium rare. It came well done. Second try it was cooked very rare. Sent it back , half it was as desired the other half was well done. I gave up.
The restaurant was 68 degrees when we arrived. It warmed up after an hour.
Gosh it's just too noisy. Otherwise it was great.
We got there early and we’re able to get seated still. Food was excellent and service was good too. Had kids and didn’t feel out of place with them there either.
Only ok. Nothing wrong, all ok. Not very tasty. Reminds me of a nicer version of Olive Garden
New Years eve
Food is not good, very bland and mediocre at best. Go to eataly or north italia instead for better Italian
The food was delicious! We ordered the calamari appetizer and the shrimp with lobster sauce pasta dish. They were both very good. Service was great too.
Tonight being Christmas Eve our waiter was too busy! It took an hour to get our food and it wasn’t prepared correctly. My son asked for French fries and was served potatoes and broccoli. My daughter ordered pasta and was served the wrong dish. Then, we were charged for two pasta dishes when we only ordered one. Brio disappointed this time and we’re regulars!
We dine at this location about 5 times a year, and always have a 5 star experience. This time, on Christmas Eve, for some reason the place was chaotic. Somehow the kitchen got backed up (according to a manager) and the General Manager started shouting orders from outside the kitchen boundary to the kitchen staff. We were more than halfway across the room and the shouting was unbelievably loud. We reported it to our waitress who reported it to her manager. They did compensate us for the disturbance which continued for at least 20-30 minutes. So, just for this visit, we're lowering our 5 stars to 4 stars. But, we'll be back!
Server was not experienced and didn’t know how and when to serve
Food was served cold...heated up and brought back with only the mash potatoes hot...the chicken and vegetables Luke warm at best.
Only saving grace was our sever who was amazing!
Celebrating my birthday!
Always accommodating on a few substitutions. Friendly service. One complaint, the waitress packed the crispies with the salad which of course made them soggy!
Made reservations for a work dinner. Had 7 people. Food was ok, mine was pretty bland. But noise level was way too loud. Won't go back.
We had a large party, and our two waiters did an excellent job. The food was yummy, and everyone enjoyed themselves. They brought out food quickly, but not too quickly, so it did not feel rushed.
Horrible service and low quality food
Celebrated my birthday. Had the Mediterrean salad with salmon. They used to have mini-desserts, but now only sorbet or vanilla gelato for a complimentary birthday dessert.
When you go to BRIO, try to get Josh. He was a lot of fun.
We were fairly disappointed with the quality of the steak my wife received. While my salmon was very delicious and the wait staff were excellent, we had numerous problems with the New York Strip steak. My wife had asked for medium well and the steak came out quite rare to the point where her whole plate became bloody. The wait staff were kind enough to get her a new steak, but to our disappointment the steak came out charred badly on the outside. The inside was cooked perfectly but the steak tasted extremely burnt. Needless to say my wife left hungry. The prices were a bit steep for the quality as well. Most likely will not return.
Amazing meal, Matt was a great server. We will definitely be back!
Celebrated a special birthday with my family. Manager and staff were so accommodating and attentive, food was amazing! Would definitely recommend dining here. Will be coming back!!
Celebrating my daughter in-laws birthday with in-laws and family! Our server, Josh, was outstanding and made our dining experience!
Our fish (the “special”)was overdone, cold, flavorless and dry and when they remade it, it came out the same way. We did receive complimentary desserts.
Loved the bolognese pasta and outstanding service.
Great service and very good brunch menu! Matthew was the server and he was very good and attentive.
Went for brunch right when they opened so the place was still empty and quiet. Our server was very nice and helpful when asked for any recommendations. It is a very nice, comfortable environment to dine in; clean and bright and the kind of place to fit all types of dining situations. My lower rating on the food this visit was because our two omelets were almost cold when served. They were cold on the outside and barely warm on the inside. Considering there were only a handful of customers, it seemed odd not to get that right. The other dish was the pumpkin ravioli which my daughter said was way too salty and that is coming from someone who does not mind salty food. My aperol spritz drink was good as were the desserts. Overall, the food was good for the price and dining there was enjoyable enough that I would go there again.
Decent food and service in a cozy ambience. Inside table was quite noisy and one needed to talk loud to hear each other. Portions are on the small side, but prices are reasonable. Overall, a good bet for a casual Italian dinner.
It was so noisy
Service was a bit slow. Overall good experience.
Food was good little overpriced for pasta
Seems they've added a new salad called Mediteranian salad which was pretty good. but, I do miss broccoli and avocado!
