AWFUL- worst service I’ve ever had there.... and it was a birthday celebration! Ordered the carbonara that comes with salad— menu didn’t mention that portions were cut to 1/3. Waitress never refilled our teas. Had to ask for Check. Never celebrated the birthday- didn’t have time to order dessert after 90 minutes just sitting there. Terrible experience

We loved the outdoor atmosphere. They allow dogs in the patio. Service was great. Food was...so so. Maybe it was what we ordered. The soup was lukewarm and the fish was ok. Maybe the other entrees are better but what we ordered wasn’t great. But, the warm bread was awesome

My husband and I had a wonderful Valentine's Day dinner 2 years in a row. I've been there for lunch several times and it is a real favorite. The food is excellent, service excellent and the patio is really great! Can't wait to go back!

Well-prepared Italian dishes. We shared the Calamari Fritti, Tomato Caprese salad, Lasagna and Tiramisu for dessert. All were delicious. Lasagna is rich but excellent. Good service. The only negative critique is that the restaurant has lots of hard surfaces, so it can be noisy at times. We've been 3 times and would return again.

We had a Birthday Party for my wife. The service provided by Amanda was outstanding. The food quality and selection for the adults and young children was very good. We will definitely return to for other celebrations.

My grilled chicken with cauliflower side was good. Husband had their cod with angel hair pasta, he liked it. Their frozen Bellini hardly had any alcohol in it, was more like a slushy drink. Our waitress needed to set down her tray, etc more quietly on marble area between the booths. It was loud and irritating. There was also a child who was crying at the top of his lungs. Totally spoiled the atmosphere. Mom was busy on her phone and didn't do anything. Thank goodness the child quieted down when his food came. The hostess was nice. Unfortunate ending, I had to call the restaurant after dinner because they didn't check me in on Open Table. I didn't want to look like a no-show or lose my 100 points. Decor is nice and patio area looked very relaxing but service is lacking some professionalism to make this restaurant what it could be.

The first impressions are always important for any types of situations. I felt that the Hostess was not friendly nor pleasant. She made me feel like I was taking time out of her day to help or showed me to my table. She walked me to the patio door then pointed to a long table then left me. She didn't offer to get a waitress or ask if I would like something to drink or even tell me that my waitress would be with me shortly. Other than that experience, I had a great time. Your wait service was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Her name was Pretty and his name was Christian. The online reservation and a call from Craig was very helpful and made it really easy. Great food, atmosphere, and great wait staff!!! Thank you.

Upon arrival it looks pleasant enough, but the noise level terrible and I had requested a quiet spot. I finally asked for a table on patio, which waitress nicely handled. It was better. Food was average, nothing special really. I would not recommend for anyone wanting to have a pleasant conversation with friends.

The restaurant was short one chef, and it really showed. Everything was in slow-motion: our drinks (which appeared to have no alcohol), our appetizers (45 minutes to get a flatbread order), and our main meal. To add insult to injury, my entree was room temperature and congealing, and clearly had been sitting out waiting for the rest of the meals at the table. We were comped desserts and given a reduced bill, but this was a singularly unsatisfactory night out.

Birthday dessert was complementary and good. Omlette did not have much cheese in it. Bacon and eggs plate was pretty plain. The presentation was sloppy.
The filling for the omelette so was very chopped up . More like an assembly line and not carefully made.

Great happy hour but average for dinner. Reminds me of an upscale Olive Garden. Food and service is good at a reasonable price. Wasn’t able to seat us on time for reservation. Watch out for upgrade on wine pour. $20 for a 9oz glass of white wine.

I was excited to try this restaurant. Overall it was an ok experience, but nothing to rave about or compel me to go back again. Server was very pleasant but seemed in experienced - he opened our wine with his back to us? Food was fine, good portions, quick service. However, the noise level was deafening!!!! We were there for my birthday, my husband and I, and we were surrounded by large, noisy groups. Not ideal!

I think that this restaurant is very poorly designed it is one big open room and the noise level is deafening it's like being inside of a jet engine at full blast the service was reasonably quick but I felt pushed by the waiter the food was on a level of 1 to 10 not much higher than A5 at best

I had the Gorgons Ola crusted medallions and while they were tender the Gorgonzola crust on them was burnt and did not really add to the flavor at all I have to say though that the vegetables were outstanding my date had the shrimp and lobster linguine and it was just average

First, Brio is still one of my favorite restaurants. I ordered the grilled Branzino with roasted fingerling potatoes. I had the Branzino about two weeks earlier and it was so good I wanted it again. This is the first and only of the many times I've eaten at Brio that I was slightly disappointed in the food. My friend had the chicken and sweet potato risotto and was very happy. I had the lobster bisque and the Branzino. The soup had more lobster than any place I've had it before but it was so over-spiced and over-salted that I didn't care for it. I requested no salt on the Branzino as I find most restaurants over-salt fish and shellfish in general. (I requested that the first time I had it and it was perfect). This time I was told the fish was pre-seasoned but they wouldn't add any extra salt. The top half of the fish was perfect, the bottom (plate-side) of the fish was so salty I couldn't eat it. The roasted fingerling potatoes were more like over-fried potatoes, crunchy all the way through, salty, and had a sauce in the center that I think I would have liked on the fish but didn't work with the crunchy potatoes. Service was terrific and I've always loved their food; I just won't order fish again. I am just chalking it up to an "off" night and will definitely go back again.

Brio was poppin when we came Friday night, and with the big tables and night atmosphere would be good for larger parties. Their food was great! We shamelessly each got our own bread basket (worth it!) and immensely enjoyed our salads and ravioli. The molten chocolate cake was a great way to top off the meal. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and made great recommendations to us. I'd recommend Brio and will be coming back!

I am actually a little disappointed with the under cooked pork chops with blood running out from the bone. After waiter returned the over cooked pork chop, it turned to become hard to chew.

the bus boys constantly removed our utensils , making us have to ask for more at least twice!! they didnt let us finish our salads, took dinner plates way too early. Then!! they turned off the over head heater just because the table behind vacated. Terrible service. the actual Server of food was good but not around very much. My pasta was dry and tasted like it had been sitting under the lights for an hour. My husbands pasta was more like soup. Our friends pizza was undercooked and bland. Kids running up and down between the tables. I think the manager should have stepped in and requested the little brats sit down, since the parents were completely brain dead!!! Probably will not return any time soon.

I was disappointed in my experience at Brio. I had been recently to the one in Dallas and found the service, food and overall experience excellent. That was the basis for my choosing Brio in Irvine. The experience was entirely different. The food was fine, but the service was - at best - perfunctory. One of my party ordered a second margarita, only to have the server come back and report “I guess we are out of the margarita mix.” Didn’t engage in offering another suggestion - basically said “is there anything else you want instead or just nothing?” We indicated on the Open Table reservation that we were celebrating a birthday. No mention of that and we basically felt hurried through the meal. Won’t be returning.
