BRIO Tuscan Grille - Houston - City Center
We went on a Monday. It was not crowded.
Bread stale, order incorrect, salmon not well done,
cheese cake tasted granular & crust was hard to cut. It was probably old. Our meal was not edible. Waiter was new & took forever for everything. Manager compt us.
We will never come back.
I have been in Brio very few times, but the service on 3/08/2020 was very poor.
We always enjoy Brio - food, ambiance and service. The Zucchini Fritti are outstanding.
My friend and I had a nice meal, but just split an appetizer and entrees to save on calories. Everything was tasty though and the cocktails were great!
I ordered the fish of the day, sea bass, it was fishy tasting, not fresh, and very Small portion for $35. Wife order the shrimp Capri, lots of pasta very few shrimp. Service was good, but that was the highlight of the night. Will not go back and suggest same for others considering going.
Love this place for lunch! Great food at a good value.
Menu offers a nice selection. 6 of us ordered different meals and everyone enjoyed their entree. Fair price for good good. Chicken parmigiana and lemon chicken were delicious.
Valentine’s Day dinner
The food was delicious on the day after Valentines Day. We celebrated a birthday and was very quiet. The staff we’re attentive and friendly! It is a place to return!
Service was poor. Never got a water refill, took 30 minutes to get a bottle of wine. Food was tasty.
Well first of all I had to wait 15 minutes after I had made a reservation. I understand that y’all are busy, but I made this reservation 10 days in advance just so I didn’t have to wait. The waitress was alright. She was attentive, but it seemed like her attention was elsewhere other than our table. We didn’t even get the cheese offered to us which other tables did.
really wish the chips that were in the bread backet came on a plate. Both bread and seeded chip were delicious however the seeds were everywhere and the floor in the entire restaurant were so dirty from it. not a complaint, 10 out of 10 would eat again just wish it came in an actual basket
We went for Valentine’s Day. We got in & seated right away with Open Table (7:15pm). They gave us a good four top. We were able to talk. The ambience was good. They brought out bread. We tried the soups, the salmon, and the bass. All excellent. The service was very good but a bit too fast. We will for sure coming back again.
It was Valentine’s Day, and although busy, it wasn’t super crowded but our server, Dino, was very harried. It took him awhile to come to us, and then he didn’t introduce himself, or say Happy Valentine’s Day, but rushed and seemed preoccupied. Our table did not have rose petals like the other tables and I just felt like we were an inconvenience. As an afterthought, Dino asked... so what can I get you... or would you like to hear the specials? Our food came and my wine did not. We waited for Dino to come ( the food was delivered by someone else) so that we could get Parmesan cheese. My hubby had shrimp and lobster over fettuccine and he thought his pasta was overcooked. I had mushroom ravioli and added on shrimp ( mistake) as they were quite small and “fishy” tasting. The mushroom ravioli was ok but rather bland and the mushroom filling was sort of like paste- not really fresh and flavorful. We have always enjoyed Brio but this was not the best visit.
Food was good and very reasonably priced.
Thank you. It was a great dinner with delicious food, great atmosphere and attentive service.
I will recommend BRIO to my friends.
Good place for gatherings with lots of well portioned options
Great food and excellent service
The food was fantastic. Our server did not introduce himself. He took our drink order and did not return for 20 minutes. Our drinks were brought by someone else. When our server came back he took our order disappeared again and our appetizer was brought by another person. I would visit again but would not chose the same sitting area.
This is the first time that I actually used Brio for a meeting I think it was hard on the server to not be attentive, She was very courteous and didn’t really want to interrupt us but wanted to make sure that we knew she was there so she did a wonderful job, and everything was great and I would very much do my lunch meetings there more often thank you
Nice place and good food.
Celebrated our anniversary (put in reservation notes) but waiter seemed to rush our dinner. Took bread away before we were done, made no drink recommendations, (I asked for a sample of wine to see if I liked it but once I sipped it and ordered a full glass, he took the remaining sample out of my hands not letting me finish it). The entree arrived before we were done with our salads. I mentioned to the waiter that it was our anniversary when ordering dessert but all that he did was put a single birthday candle in the dessert we ordered. Was hoping for a special celebratory meal but at least the food tasted good. Can’t even say the ambiance was good either because we were facing the busy kitchen.
We wanted a bottle of wine
Our server was awesome bringing us each a sample of three wines that we wanted to try. Impressive and yes we bought a bottle thank you
Fettuccine with shrimp and lobster was fabulous. Great atmosphere.
OK overall but 2 issues:
1. Ordered the salmon which arrived much later than all other orders at our table. The waiter did inform me that it was late and apologized. Also, a manager delivered the dish, letting me know that it would be comped. They handled it well ultimately but was still disappointing, especially with a large group including kids.
2. I noted on my Open Table reservation that this day was both my wife and daughter's birthday. Nothing was done to celebrate or recognize this. I actually forgot I had done that until after we had left, knowing we still had to get home to do presents. Again, disappointing, especially for my 10-year old daughter.
We went on New Year’s Eve, so it was an uncommon scenario. But the food was amazing, despite the restaurant being packed with people. Service was also great, so no complaints at all. Amazing experience
BRIO is the perfect place for a night out. The food is delicious. The drinks are amazing! The ambiance is perfect for a night dressed up or casual. BRIO is perfect for “treat yo self” vibes. If you’re in jeans or a dress you feel welcomed and will have a great time.
Always lovely on the patio. Wait staff is exceptional.
Family holiday dinner
We went there for Christmas Eve dinner. Food was good, service was horrible. We watched the 2 waitresses argue about who was handling our table, then never saw either of them again until we were packing up the leftovers and one came to ask if we wanted refills. Would’ve been nice to have them during dinner? Thank goodness for the guy that stepped up to wait on us in between his regular tables, but even that was not what it should’ve been for the price of the restaurant. What was supposed to be a Christmas Eve treat from myself to my sons, turned in to me apologizing to them for the restaurant choice as we walked to the car.
Lovely restaurant in the City Center area at Town and Country. Great menu selection. I love the wedge salad and the Salmon Fresca entree. An awesome explosion of flavors.
Excellent service and very good food!
Superb food! Superb wait staff! Superb ambiance! It was a fantastic evening! I would highly recommend BRIO to all my friends.
Good food, service and location. This is one of my favorite restaurants.
Service was incredibly slow. Our reservation was at 11:45 and did not leave the restaurant until well after 2:00pm because of the length of time it took to get our food.
It was fabulous. We enjoyed it very much. Great service and wonderful food/drinks.
The food was delicious. Friendly elegant atmosphere. Sure I will be back
This place was so amazing and accommodating to the group we had with is the food was outstanding. The service was amazing I will most definitely be going back.
Waitress seated us, and then forgot about us - even tho she was serving two tables over (so we knew she was still there) and it wasnt crowded ay all, week night w several open tables around us. We had to ask 3 times for our drinks, and our water was never refilled at all. They werent busy; so we couldnt figure it out. We did have a nice girls night out catch up - the waiters didnt come back; so we had lots of time to talk. We had to flag them down to order food. Food is good but not memorable. Since parking is always a problem in this area, we wont be back. Just not worth it.
Was our Holiday Luncheon, book a room for 30. Arrived and a long table was ready out in the main room.
The room would have been better, but the long table seated all of us and that is what mattered.
Made it a bit difficult to carry a group conversation, boss could not give prepared speech, but the food was excellent as will as the service.
Waiters was very attentive, no one went without refills on drinks. Which is a plus in my books.
