BRIO Tuscan Grille - Gilbert - San Tan Ratings and Reviews
We made a reservation in advance. We had a very nice table in the dining area. The service was fabulous. The food and atmosphere was great. It was my birthday and the server included a delectable dessert! The caramel cheesecake was delicious. We had the bruschetta and it was really good too.
Love that we can make reservations. Seated after a brief wait. Our waiter was friendly and his service was excellent. We received water, drinks and bread promptly. We had placed our order when our drinks were brought to the table as we told the waiter we were going to a movie. Before we knew it our meals arrived. The waiter checked on us and we received our bill promptly when we asked for it. We then had plenty of time to get to our movie. Job well done.
I took my wife out for her birthday, for me It was at the just ok level in regards to service, food, and comfort. I was acompanied by our 4 kids and thought this would be a nice quite location for a casual birthday dinner as my wife does not like her speacial day exploited and that was definetly delivered. I felt the waitress was a bit undertrained as placement and food presentation was a bit rushed as total people dining that night was maybe 20 people. chicken was over chared, dessert was over sweetened in general all was over spiced. Nice place for maybe Casual lunch/dinner despite decore, but if you are winding up for a speacial Dinner I would not recomend....
Probably need some better managment to create the presentation and taste as the decor envelopes, the place would have some serious potential to off set (price to valued taste)along with better trained service represenatives. BTW waitress was very nice but poorly trained in dinner etiquette that part was pretty clear.
This was our first visit and we were not impressed starting from our stop at the bar when we first came in. The bartender was frazzled, distracted, (asking questions but he wasnt listening to your answer which resulted in a lot of repeating) and we were not impressed with the drinks he made for us. We were also disappointed in the small draft beer selection. We normally like to eat at the bar but decided to sit at a table. Our waitress did a good job. My husband liked the flat bread he got but I was not impressed at all with the lasagna. It was not something I would order again. We also got the molton cake, which was good. Overall, I wouldn't go back, there are too many other choices that are better.
From the moment we arrived we felt like we’re actually “going out” to dinner. Great atmosphere, wonderful waiters and of course excellent food. We have dined at Brio approx. 40 times over the years and I can honestly say we have never had anything that we didn’t enjoy.
We have been to this restaurant many times and always love it. Our waiter this time was friendly, fun, and efficient. Sorry I can't remember her name. A minor suggestion: have table cloths on the booth tables just like on the other tables. A white table cloth just makes the meal special.
I had been craving BRIO after a previous visit there that was amazing. Unfortunately, it didn't live up to my memory.
The service was mediocre and food was just ok. It took 45 minutes for our food to arrive which was WAAAAY too long, especially when the restaurant wasn't crowded. :(
We were there for New Year’s Eve expecting a festive evening, instead had a lack luster experience. You couldn’t tell it was NYE.
The place seems old and tired, low energy from the staff, mediocre food and a server who was nice but not well trained st all. My first clue was when I called two weeks ahead to find out about their plans for New Years, the hostess was unable to help and the manager wasn’t friendly at all.
We won’t go back.
My husband and I went to BRIO for New Years Eve. We have tried to go to their happy hour in the past but they have a small bar so getting a table is tough. Our server, Chuck was super. He was helpful, upbeat, but not over-familiar, which happens a lot when dining out these days. Just the perfect amount of involvement. We had a 7:30 pm reservation and we were seated only a couple minutes late, which isn’t bad for a holiday. The menu is nice, I typically eat vegan (for weight control only, not allergy based), but I cheat on holidays. So we ordered wine, app, salad (hubby had soup) and entree. It took forever to get our wine, I suppose because of the holiday, but our bruschetta took way too long, also. We ordered off their feature menu and it was delicious. Just the right amount of spice. Very interesting. The big miss was the server assistant brought my chopped salad (fair, not great) and my husband’s lobster bisque (AMAZING) as soon as the app was delivered, so I asked her to send it back for a bit, she was very nice about it. Out entrees were good. I had the Gorgonzola tenderloin, something or another, tasted good but not excellent, and my husband had the lobster and shrimp risotto, very good. We skipped dessert because we were too full to even share. Highlight was definitely Chuck, downside was my entree, but I typically don’t eat meat or dairy so maybe I’m not a fair judge. I really wish I could have found a great vegan or easily vegan adapted entree, but I wish that at every restaurant. We will return soon, hopefully for happy hour.
The salmon was very moist, tender, and flavorful. The filet was seasoned well, but they don't sear the outside of the meat, so the steak tasted mushy instead of having a bite to it. The veggies and sides were good. Everything else was good. Don't get the steak here.
They had been on double secret probation due to poor service on our last visit. Decided to give them another chance, hoping for a better service experience, that we got. Our server was prompt and attentive, the appetizer was good but the entree was cold and lifeless, just okay. I think I will only go for happy hours from now on, the happy hour menu and drinks are their best feature.
I was celebrating my birthday with family. We all placed our order, my waiter came back to tell me that the surf and turf wasn’t available as they had run out of steak. He offered no alternative such as adding another type steak for x any of dollars. I was given a menu to find something else, however he satiated they noted 30 min ago that the entree is not offered any longer on this night. Communication is key I understand everyone is busy, however I would have studied the menu initially for something that was available. I also chose this restaurant because my dau who is a vegan saw something she could order as this was important to me, I wouldn’t invite her somewhere that couldn’t accomdate a vegan. She ordered the Quinoa salad and asked for no feta and the chicken on the side as her husband was going to eat the chicken, she also asked for a vinagarette dressing. The plate came out with everything that she asked them to omit on it. The waiter sent the plate back asked for a new plate and the second plate had the chicken and the dressing she couldn’t eat on it. The server took the plate back and removed the chicken and put it on a different plate. However after plate came out for the third time stir incorrect, she didn’t want to cause a scene. She had the food boxed to go, didn’t eat anything at my birthday celebration. Not to mention she paid for something she didn’t eat and she didn’t want to cause anymore confusion definitely didn’t want anything added. Thank God she only has a diary allergy as people have to be very careful when handling food that a customer chooses to trust the restaurant to get their order right. Nevertheless my dau was upset with me because I wanted to let them know that her meal wasn’t exceptable however she didn’t want me to get involved. Myself as the person who invited her was very upset as she didn’t enjoy herself. This is our first time here, the atmosphere was great the communication sucked between my meal and hers.
Server was very forgetful but being so far from the kitchen as we sat on the patio it's understandable expect when our food came out and it was missing someone's order. Overall the place is well run and well kept up with. Love going and will always come back, server was very nice and friendly everyone has those days. Keep it up!
Went with a group of ten. Had to send three of the meals back (two filets and a salmon) because of how bad they were cooked. We had to track the waiter down every time we needed refills on our drinks. Manager was great. Overall, a nice place to eat. I think they were just having a bad night
