BRIO Tuscan Grille - Freehold - Raceway Mall
Server Matt was very professional and attentive. Food and dining experience was great.
The food was good. The problem was there was no silverware on the table nor was any available until the meal came. To make matters worse, the first appetizer plate came dirty as did one set of silverware. It was Mother's Day and they were busy but that is not an excuse for the dirty plates and silverware but can explain how an appetizer and Entree Salad can take an hour to serve.
Considering it was Mother's Day and the place was very crowded, we had a very pleasant experience. We were early for our reservation so we had a drink at the bar. The bartender was attentive and our drinks arrived quickly. We were seated within 10 minutes of our reserved time of 7pm. The waitress was awesome! our next round of drinks arrived quickly as did our food.
We had a 6:30 reservation for 7 people, but were not seated until after 7:00. Our wait person took our orders and then we waited about a half hour for our food. We ordered some desserts and coffees and they took about another half hour to be served. We did not leave until 9:45.
Awful experience all together ! Overbooked on Mother’s Day , with incompetent staff.
What happened, Brio? Our experience was terrible. After a 45 minute wait WITH A RESERVATION, we were seated, and eventually got our appetizers 45 MINUTES LATER WITHOUT UTENSILS. The food was just ok. No discernible flavor in the lobster ravioli or spaghetti bolognese. The gorgonzola steak filets were way too salty and everything was served luke warm and mushy. Front and back of house could use some strong management oversight.
For the positives: the drinks were good and the staff were friendly.
We won't be going back to Brio any time soon.
Went out for Mother’s Day dinner with my boys. Got the lobster and shrimp fettuccine with gluten free pasta with an extra lobster tail from the specials menu and my boys got pasta Pomodoro and lasagna. Great food. Service was a little off probably because it was so busy. Will definitely visit again.
Waited 17 minutes beyond our reservation for our table. Overall food was good. Lobster was a little tough though. Server was not friendly or warm. Didn’t even wish us a Happy Mother’s Day, we had a small child with us.
Food was good. Waiter was great. Had to send back three sets of silverware that had food crusted on them and coffee cup had lipstick on it. Need to check the silverware!
Second year in a row we dined here on Mother’s Day. Considering how busy it was, service was excellent. Food is delicious and prices are very fair.
Went there for the first time on mother’s day and the food was good, great service, great atmosphere; overall a really nice experience and will definitely go back
Delicious! Always a great meal!
The server we had Saturday night was pleasant and very efficient. The food was as
Brio is my favorite restaurant! I love everything about it.
Felt the meal was rushed. Pasta was not cooked well enough. Waitress was pleasant but forgot the coffee with dessert. Price is excelent and overall good for a chain restaurant.
The food could not have been worse. Dry tasteless pasta dishes and the pizza flatbread was served with sliced mushy flavorless tomatoes that aren't even in season yet for NJ. They were better off using canned tomatoes. Also appeared understaffed. Will never go back. There are too many better restaurants in this category.
Fairly disappointed with the new menu and the speed and accuracy of our orders. Manager was nice enough to offer desserts but still felt the value wasn’t there. Food quality and quantity were sub par.
Lunch was good salmon cooked perfect as well as f. Mignon but when we asked for vergin olive oil instead of butter that’s what we got is this correct?
It was ok. An upscale place. Noisy. Need more tomoto sauce enter.
We enjoyed our lunch. I have only one comment. The waitress, could have been a little friendlier and went she brought our food, it is nice to hear "enjoy"
Just very average food that has become a bit pricey. Minestrone soup was very good though
Let us sit for 20 minutes before we reminded them of our reservation despite a lot of empty tables
Tables to close together, kept hitting and being hit by neighboring table. Noise level to high so could not hear person next to me. Felt very rushed. Food was fairly good.
This is a go-to for good food and ambience. Usually a great experience but some missteps today. Tomatoes were barely ripe on my flatbread and my chopped salad was so saturated with dressing it was almost soup.
They served fried calamari like 8 little strips with veggies NEVER in my life I saw calamari served like strips cold and mushy Where are the universal calamari rings??? And no Mgmt around to speak to
We got an email saying our reservation was cancelled. Not sure why. We arrived at 6:15, checked in with the hostess and were seated in a booth in the bar area. Not sure why we got an email saying our reservation was cancelled. We were there
I love the food at Brio, especially the Lobster Bisque!! However, every time I dine there the service is not good. I'm not one to complain but since I received this email to review, I thought I'd register my experience. For some reason or other, there are consistent issues with the service. I really don't know why. The people seem nice enough. If it was just one time I'd ignore it but every time I go there I have the same experience.
We were a group of 4 ladies, catching up on our lives! We weren’t rushed to decide on our choices, wait staff gave us plenty of time to look over the menu.
The food was delicious & presentation was excellent. I will recommend your restaurant to my friends!
The service was slow but the food was good. The crispy eggplant and shrimp appetizer was the best thing we ate. So delicious but the bolognese entree wasnt anything special
We love BRIO!!! Food beverage and service were great!! Peach sangria is a must!! Our service was excellent as well!!
The food is consistently good.
For a chain restaurant it’s better than average.
I’m not sure what happened but this last visit to Brio was underwhelming. The food was bland and flavorless- so disappointed. Our waiter was very nice but service was slow and we waited so long between courses and for the bill.
I was disappointed with our visit for dinner to the BRIO Tuscan Grille. This was my third visit, but the prior two had been for lunch. The lunch experience had been good. My disappointment at dinner started right at the beginning. We were seated at a terrible table to start, but my wife managed to get the staff to seat us at a better one. My wife and daughter are vegetarian, and the choices for starters and entrees for vegetarians was poor They were out of the first starter we ordered - the roasted garlic, spinach and artichoke dip. My wife's mushroom ravioli was ordinary; my daughter's Mediterranean salad was nothing to write home about. The grilled asparagus that came with my Grilled Salmon Fresca was stringy and overcooked. The salmon was not too bad, but the vegetables overwhelmed the fish. The service was okay, but dispassionate. I think BRIO Tuscan Grille can do better.
Everything was really delicious!! Service was fine
It took 30 min to get salad
Overall the food is better than average. We were surprised that the calamari appetizer was not as good as we hoped. The service was very good and we were able to get seated in a side room that it much quieter than the main serving area. We will be back to the restaurant.
Fish dry over cooked
Our compliments to our server, Nicholas. Excellent recommendation for our dessert, lemon cheesecake.
Great service and good food
This visit was for a birthday celebration. There were 6 of us & we came in at 2:00. First the waiter came over to take our orders, we asked for the specials & soup of the day. He had to go back & check. He came out again to take our orders. There were 2 orders that came out wrong. I ordered the vegetarian omelet with whole egg instead of egg white and received the meat omelet. I had to wait a while and when it came out it was sans potatoes. My cousin ordered the shrimp ceasar salad. She got a small plate of lettuce with 4/5 shrimps on it. She also had to send it back and wait to get the correct order. After the meal was over a few people ordered coffee, one of the people never got hers. Service was slow and then we waited for the check. For the cost, neither the service nor quantity of food added up. I would not recommend or go back to this restaurant.
It was early in the evening and they were already out of salmon - poor planning. Water tasted funny, musty, like it was sitting out or stored in a container that hadn’t been washed in a while. The prices are a little high so the total value of the dining experience was low. Decent service by the wait staff.
