BRIO Tuscan Grille - Fairfax - Fair Oaks Mall
Manager was great but besides that staff was extremely slow and food was just ok. Won’t be going back.
Good meal. Good waitress. Easy in—-easy out. Very good restaurant.
We have had several positive experiences at Brio restaurants, including this one. However this visit they had many large parties - our server had two tables that had 8 to 10 individuals, as well as 3 other tables. Consequently our service was very slow. Over an hour for two courses. We wanted dessert but after waiting for 10 minutes after our server brought over the dessert menu for her to come back, we gave up. Very disappointed.
We were celebrating two birthdays, but nothing was made to feel special or offered as a dessert option.
We started on the patio with drinks and appetizers...all good. When we transferred inside, the service was not great. We had to ask the server for a bread basket, and there was only one for seven people. My husband and I ordered side salads, but mine came out with dinner, and he didn’t receive his at all. He eventually canceled it. Daughter ordered a pasta chicken dish with pesto, mozzarella, etc and asked for everything to be served except the pasta...chicken came without cheese, and other toppings. They were eventually brought out separately on a side plate. Two people had to ask for extra sauce for their dishes, and they were not brought out quickly. Server forgot to remove the $7.00 missing side salad from the bill so he had to redo it. It WASN'T your best night. We will probably go elsewhere for our next birthday celebration.
The staff did a great job for our party of 10, including children. Very glad we chose Brio for our special occasion.
Food was excellent! Great Service!!
Everything was great once we were seated (service and food). Issue was we arrived 10 minutes before our reservation time and were not seated until 40 minutes later (30 minutes after reservation)
Service was not as expected, food came out cold, chicken was dry and no one came for refills water!
It’s was a busy day because Of Mother’s Day, so it’s to be expected the restaurant would be busy and loudspeakers I made a reservation because I did not want to wait, so I was surprised to arrive and have to wait. When I asked the hostess, she was short and rude. I let her know I had a reservation and she was still short. I didn’t appreciate it and gave her a stern look. I was there with my toddler so I wasn’t going to get snippy in front of him.
Suddenly, they seated me almost immediately, a minute later.
The server Ashley was great. She was running around but she never faltered her smille and patience.
The hostess role is important as this is the first impression for the guests. They were young and clearly inexperienced. Please work on their training so they are able to handle all types of days and holidays.
Very nice mother's day brunch!
I would suggest going when it’s not so busy and our server even felt the need to apologize to us for the wait because of how busy they were which was fine. There was definitely long times of waiting between food and table after us even got their food first. I will still go back but my eyes only for lunch when it’s not super busy.
The food was bland and expensive ($115 for 2 people). Service was decent but overall not worth it in my opinion.
The restaurant is nice, the service decent, the food ... mediocre. Italian food should be served large, piping hot and full of flavor. All four of our meals were bland. Brio seems like it wants to compete with restaurants like Maggiano's, but it doesn't even come close. If you want to spend $100 for a family of four, go to an Italian restaurant (or any restaurant) that at least knows how to get spaghetti right.
We had quite a difficult mix of customers - one middle-age+ cancer survivor, my 92-yo mom, and my mentally handicapped brother - along with my brother, husband, and myself. Our server did a terrific job of intuiting to whom he should address certain questions (more bread, another round of mimosas, etc) - and kept the pace of the meal flowing. Our one negative comment was the breakfast potatoes - which were dried out and more-than-crisp. Both types of omelets were delicious, as were the scrambled eggs and shrimp pasta meal.
Food good, service poor
We had a party of 10 to celebrate our daughters wedding the day before. The potatoes were hard and crunchy. Two of our guests ordered additional potatoes but also received the dry over cooked potatoes. I did not eat mine. I felt the brunch lacked variety. I have been there for dinner and have always been pleased with the food so I was really disappointed. I was a bit embarrassed as I brought guests from my wedding. I don't think I will come back for brunch again.
This restaurant used to be so good. I had a birthday $10 off coupon they sent me so I thought I would take my son and enjoy my favorite dish, the spicy eggplant and grilled shrimp. The shrimp was so over cooked and chewy, I actually sent it back. The second batch wasn’t any better but I accepted it. The flatbread my son ordered had no flavor and the pasta was actually too al dente. Mind you, this was a Saturday at noon, we were the only customers there and they couldn’t get the food right. We left behind over more than half of what we ordered. Sorry to say I will not be going back to Brio again. Too bad.
BRIO Tuscan Grille is an excellent restaurant with a fantastic menu which provides multiple Italian choices and wonderful appetizers. The wine list is excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant for couples, family and relaxing for happy hour.
We were at Brio’s for brunch - Easter and my husband’s birthday. My only complaint was that my omelette was served cold. The service was amazing. They served a special dessert for my husband’s birthday - the cake and ice cream was THE BEST! I love Brio’s - but the omelette was not up to their usual excellence.
We were greeted with smiles, we were seated right away, the table was perfect for our party of seven, the service for our table was excellent, the menu had excellent choices, the food and drinks were served promptly, everyone enjoyed the food and conversation, and finally - for our party of seven - the bill was very reasonable. Thank you
everything was great. Perfect!
The food and service are outstanding. We have been there many times and everyone's meals have been excellent. My only complaint is the noise level of the restaurant. Sometimes it is so noisy that it can be hard to hold a conversation.
We went on Saturday night for a family dinner. The restaurant wasn't that busy but the server was really slow. Also, we ordered 4-5 different types of dish and all the pasta was so dry. I don't think I will visit this location.
Loved the Open Table reservation where we reserved our table and got seated immediately!
I wish their raviolis are not dry!! They need some sauce. Otherwise great food and wine.
Wonderful friendly place. Great Wait staff working hard to please. Love the menu choices and dessert.
I felt the food was tasty. However we went with a large party early on a saturday, the service was lacking for sure. Not attentive and many errors in getting all the food to the table. The food was also not hot like you would expect with a resturaunt that wasnt busy
Six of us! Individual checks. Spencer did a great job with us. Food spectacular. We missed the 1/2 and 1/2 lunch options but all found a great meal.
We went at 6pm on a Monday. I definitely expected more for an $18 bowl of pasta (as did the others). It was what I expected from my fast food italian places at $8 a bowl. Others got Chicken marsala and lemon chicken that was a good portion. They may have rated their food experience higher. Good service. Hardly and chicken, mushrooms and little sauce in the rigatoni. Ill try the chicken next time.
Prompt and courteous service, delicious food, overall good time for a large party of eight.
We have never had a bad time or meal at BRIO's. The service has always been better then expected.
Good service. Tonight’s chef was great. Not crowded & food was good. Feel like the busier they are the more the meals suffer
Great (and plentiful) food plus pleasant and proficient server.
Are meal order was lost twice before it came out luke warm at best. Had to ask for water refills several times. When the meal finally arrived it looked like it had been plated in a hurry and half the sides had fallen off. Took 45 minutes from the time we ordered to the time we were served a almost cold mean. No apology no manager just a "oops the order must have gotten lost I will go check" twice. Should have walked out at the 30 minute mark
Party of 8 for a birthday, Saturday. Food took too long about an hour and all the food is cold. It’s better than Cheesecake Factory across because of the reservations, but could get better food elsewhere.
I enjoyed very much the delicious salmon a la Fresca entré, it was cooked to a perfection and had a beautiful presentation.
The service was top notch!
We had to send back our meals because they arrived to our table cold. The meals were prepared again but couldn’t complete our meal as a family since we had to return our daughter back to campus.
We would not recommend this location for a meal.
The restaurant was not crowded however the food took forever. When it arrived it was cold could not find the waitress to inform her so we just ate. The taste was not good at all. We were there for an hour and a half and the waitress so we filled our drinks one time. Plus they overcharged me for things I didn’t order. Terrible experience
We quite frequently go to Brio and enjoy the food … however, this time we were quite disappointed - one of our dishes seemed to be sitting under the light for a while and the other was not quite to the level we were used to (chicken marsala with the chicken from the grill?!) … we noticed that the restaurant was quite busy with the large groups which may be the reason - that said, that should not be an excuse - and - the service was as great as always!
We enjoy going to Brio whenever we go to the malls. On this visit, the food was prepared well and tasted good. We look forward to returning.
