BRIO Tuscan Grille - Detroit - Somerset Brio
We are located on the south side of Somerset Mall, the premier shopping mall for south east Michigan. We are located 20 minutes from Ford Field, home of the Detroit Lions and Comerica Park, home of the Detroit Tigers.
The waitress was not attentive nor familiar with the menu. I ordered a salad which the menu claimed would be made of arugula, but when it arrived, had only iceberg. My husband said his pasta was lackluster. Overall, definitely not worth the prices we paid.
Food was good. Pasta portions were small!
From the moment that we walked in the door, until we left...Everything was incredible. Food was famously tasty...Our waitress was wonderful. We'll be back for another beautiful brunch!
We were disappointed in the salads this visit. Four out of five ordered salads along with their entrée. The salads were skimpy, not a lot of lettuce, and very little of the items mentioned on the menu that would be in the salad. Since we have dined here many times before, we're not sure why this happened. We are used to receiving a much better salad. Even the presentation was poor since there was hardly anything but lettuce, and then not much. The entrees were very good, and service excellent.
Dine at Brio at least 2 a month
Awesome. Great food. Low calories. Nice ambience.
Just very disappointed in the food. Not sure if they’ve recently changed their menu but for the price, it was not great. And for a Friday night it was completely empty. Guessing other people feel the same way about the food. EXCELLENT service and wonderful staff though.
The food was amazing. We were seated quickly and everything about the meal was fast and efficient. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu and very friendly. We were celebrating my husband and my birthdays and they gave us a chocolate lava cake a la mode which was delicious and a perfect end to dinner. Everyone enjoyed their food. We will definitely go back.
Food and service was not as good as usual probably because it was Mother’s Day and it was very busy
It was mother's day and crazy busy - food came out on time, it was warm, and tasty. Loved our waiter.
The Food is amazing. The price to value is outstanding and the service was the best. This is easily my new favorite place for dinner.
It was Mother’s Day brunch and despite being SUPER busy everything was great. The staff did a fab job of providing great service and making it a wonderful experience.
Great experience, service and food! Especially on Mother’s Day. We hadn’t been to Brio for a while and were very happy with everything. Looking forward to a return visit.
Food not very good, chicken marsala had 2 pcs of mushroom and a drop of sauce...the whole dish is about the mushrooms and sauce. The chicken was 1 flattened piece and dry, do not recommend. The salmon salad was good though. Filet was tasteless, not grilled well and overpriced.
Chicken marsala was dry with small amount of sauce. Not great food for over $100 for 2 people. Better food for the money at many other restaurants. Won't be back.
There was our second consecutive time that we have had a terrible experience. Searching for one redeeming quality, I can say that the Calamari and Carpaccio appetizers were good but it took our server 10-15 minutes to take our drink order and another 15 minutes for them to arrive. Once they arrived, we had to stop her from leaving to order the appetizers. The food was uniformly poor. Their feature was “add a lobster tail for $9.99”. One in our party did that but it wasn’t cooked. I fact his entire meal was cold. Others in our foursome had over cooked entrees with dried out vegetables and cold sauces. We finally found our server but by that time none is us were interested in prolonging this stay any further. She took the lobster tail off the tab and said she would talk to her manager. Not sure what he said since we never heard from him/her. The noise in this restaurant is no loud that it is impossible to carry on any kind of conversation. This was two and a half hours of misery.
Our waiter Chris is outstanding and we requested him as he makes for a great experience
Love the atmosphere at Brio Somerset Mall, staff is attentive/friendly, the food is always delicious and many wonderful selections on the menu (all good). My favorites are the chicken and salmon dishes.
We had a great time and a great meal. The server, Lonny, was wonderful. His recommendations were spot on. A fun restaurant with well prepared food.
Food was really lame- service was slow, taste was really poor. I have a salmon salad and I request Gorgonzola cheese Instead of feta, they didn’t put any cheese, salmon taste like nothing. Salad descriptions was w mixed greens. It was stuffed w head lettuce. Balsamic dressing was horrible, taste like nothing . It is so many great restaurants in Troy you obviously would not be my choice at all.Tomato soup used to be so good now-you put too much flour to make is really sick. You should definitely change your chef. You in the middle somerset collection one of prestigious mall and your food is so lame.

Great food. Large servings. Good quality. Not enough selections for kids. Servers have too many tables.
Food has really gone downhill. I have been eating at Brio for years. Something happened. Last two times the food has been lousy. The carbonara sauce was thin and full of onions. No bacon. My filet medallions were over cooked. Ordered MR and they were cooked MW. Calamari was always our fav appetizer. It’s changed. Now serve a small portion of strips rather than a platter of the circles/legs. It will be a long time before we go back.
Great food great service
Great food, waited a long time for coffee but otherwise good service
Delicious sea bass and they have Chianti’s wine!
We marked our reservation as “celebrating mom’s birthday” and there was no mention or acknowledgement of it. Other tables were seated after us and received their waitstaff, drinks and food much faster than we did. Disappointed to say the least.
Had the steak salad and it was amazing! Our waitress, Taylor was very friendly and just overall great!
We have had a series of visits that have been super slow at this location but last night was the most remarkable because the dining room was essentially empty at 6pm. Our meal took greater than 2 hours. Our kids chicken tenders didn’t come although we ordered it before appetizers. Our waitress was inattentive and got surly when i questioned the missing food. The manager was flitting about but never stopped to check on us. we can dine elsewhere because Troy is saturated with places to choose from.
Another great dinner st BRIO. Great food - great service!
Food and service good
Our favorite place to meet friends and family! The best service, food, always honoring our reservations! They even listened when we were so sad about salmon fresco being removed from the menu, and now it is BACK!!!
The food was delicious! I ordered the chicken riggatoni and my fiancé ordered the chicken limone as well as the lemon ricotta cheesecake. Everything was AMAZING.. including our alcoholic beverages!!
Wait staff was very nice. So loud you can’t talk across the table. Food was average.
Food and service good
Better than last time. My favorite, Salmon Fresca is back on the menu after being removed by new owners. Now, they still need to add the Shrimp Mediterranean back too, or other lower calorie items. More vegetarian choices would also be appreciated. Salmon Fresca was as good as remembered. Chopped salad is always good & mushroom ravioli is very nice.
Ricotta cheesecake is lighter than regular cheesecake & tasty.
Overall, very good.
Waitress was rushing service because we were late. And didn't want to offer anything until we asked.
Very tasty steak. The only thing I don't care for is the food runner to deliver what you order vs. the server that took the order. That system needs to be refined.
Food was uneven. Steak was excellent but the pesto potatoes had the pesto globbed on one spot. One person had the Yukon mashed potatoes but the potatoes were solid chunks. The pasta with Pomodoro sauce had very little sauce.
The service was slow even though the restaurant was not busy.
We are not likely to return. Too many other good restaurants to waste time and money at a mediocre one.
