BRIO Tuscan Grille - Columbus - Polaris Brio
We had a great time. With the happy hour at at the bar and the bar being open to restaurant and the restaurant not being busy... the drinkers are distracting.
But we had a great dinner with great friends
Food was subpar. Some of it barely eatable. We have gift cards and still wont go back
Food and service were great. It was a little noisy
An enjoyable evening with friends and a booth which gave us a little bit more room and a feeling of privacy. Our server was attentive but not overly and we enjoyed the food and atmosphere.
BRIO is normally our go to joint when we can’t decide a place to go. Last time we went it was great. This time not so much. Our server just didn’t seem to care. Sadly,we have had her before with the same reception so at least we knew what to expect. I had to ask what the fish of the day was then next I had to ask the soup of the day. I felt like I was bothering her. We placed our orders with no special request. Wedge salad as a starter with one stuffed chicken parm order and a breaded chicken with pasta. Salad never came but are meals came out looking great. My husbands side of pasta was coated in red pepper flakes to the point he had to stop eating it because his lips were red from the heat. This is a man that loves atomic wings and eats them like no big deal. We both hoped for a side of sauce since the chicken was a lil dry. I was over half finished with one piece of chicken when our server came with the salad. I told her that was ok and we would pass on that. She never returned until we were finished. So no extra sauce and no point discussing the red flake pasta. It truly wasn’t a big deal. She then brought a molten cake dessert to “make up for the salad situation.” OK that was nice but not necessary. My husband took a bite looked at me oddly and asked what is this? I took a bite and thought this is an odd dessert. I then asked my server “what is this we are eating?” She replied “why don’t you like it? It’s Molten cake!” I didn’t bother to reply honestly and let her know it was almost frozen in the middle, hence why we were asking what it was. It tasted ok, strange and rich, but ok I just didn’t know what this chunk of choc was I was biting into. Point being, it was an off night at Brio. I wouldn’t expect anything different Valentines weekend. We will of course be back but not for awhile! Everyone has off days or nights. This location is normally spot on and if you can sit at the bar do it! The bartenders are fantastic and provide great service.
Enjoyed our family date night out to celebrate a late Valentine’s Day dinner!
Our server was very good. The food for the price was not so great.
We are very fond of Brio, and loved our last experience at the Easton location. However, this time at the Polaris location left a lot to be desired. The chicken parm was unimpressive - the chicken was bland while the pasta tasted stale. The "fried" calamari appetizer was soggy, and lacked any level of crunch of crispiness. Our server did just enough and nothing more. All in all, we came away unimpressed. I will have to go back to the Easton location to see how they fare.
The service was great. The lobster bisque soup was delicious as was the lasagna. My wife and I had a special night out for Valentine's Day and Brio was a nice part of it! Thank you Brio at Polaris! You are one of our favorite places!
Brio is always a great place to bring a friend or a business gathering around some great food. I was surprised at all of the available gluten free options available as well. Would definitely recommend to a friend.
We had a party of 10 and service was not good, the food took an extra long time to come out and all drinks were also slow to arrive. No updates given to us from server as to why it was taking so long and when asked we were told this was how it was on a Saturday. I don’t feel it is acceptable to wait over an hour for food without any updates and being told that’s just the way it is. I have been to plenty of other restaurants on a Saturday night and service is not like our experience was at Brio. Just an update as to when our food was coming, or if the kitchen was backed up or just a simple I am sorry it took so long would have went a long way. Overall the food was good but the experience was not.
What happened to your old menu and flavors?
Food was tasteless. Variety was poor. Pasta was hard and dry on all dishes. Sadly not the quality food for the price.
Had a great evening. Our waiter was attentive and helpful.
Dinner was ok. I got the stuffed chicken. It was dry and kind of looked like it had been sitting in the warmer for a few minutes. My wife got the some pasta dish with very little sauce and it also looked like it had sat in the warmer a few minutes too long.
They had a couple large parties upstairs which put a strain on the kitchen according to our server. This overload most likely contributed to the lack luster meal. Plus they only serve Pepsi products, yuck!
Overall, we'll call it a bad night for the restaurant. One too many chiefs on the floor as well, when they probably should have been in the back helping out the kitchen.
Our service was great!!! A perfect way to spend our Anniversary
The last time we went, we were disappointed with service. Decided to give it another try.
Still disappointed in service, and though food tasted ok, we all ended up getting sick.
I had to hit washroom before we even left! Our son texted next day he was up at 2 a.m. and each hour after getting sick.
Won’t return here, but we like Easton Brio.
Food was excellent as usual. Went during Restaurant Week and two of us had the steak entree. Other friend went off the regular menu with carpaccio I and mushroom ravioli. All dinners were great. Service was great as well. Will return as this is one of my favorite restaurants.
Wonderful food! Will definitely be back again!
We went to Brio for Restaurant Week, 3 course meal for $30.00. Unfortunately our waiter chose to not write down our orders so my husband received the wrong salad and my son received the wrong entrée, by the time they brought his meal out the rest of us were finished eating. Our waiter apologized and comped the meal but it sort of ruined our evening out which doesn't happen very often.
We visited during Restaurant Week. My husband and I each ordered drinks and one of the specials consisting of a choice of salad, entree and dessert for $30. All of our food arrived within an excellent time frame. Our server, Robin, was very friendly and professional. We received superb service from her. Our food was hot, delicious, and because of the special menu, an excellent value. We will be repeat customers.
Took 1 hour to get food, kitchen was backed up.
They saved themselves by comping the dinner.
Everything was very good. The only problem is the front desk did not have our reservation.
Everything about my visit was superb. The ambiance and the service was just outstanding. The waiter was very courteous and had a great mix of checking on our meal without pestering. My wife has not been able to have good scallops for awhile and they were cooked to perfection. We have nothing but compliments for the chefs and staff. They say you get what you pay for and I could not agree more for this excellent service. Thanks for making our night great!
We enjoyed the food, it was very good. Our service was just short of zero stars. Our waiter took our drink and appetizer order, brought them out and we didn’t see him again until he brought the bill. Other servers brought out the food.
Fortunately there was another waiter nearby and he was very nice and refilled our water and a Manager went by and he brought out additional lemon for the fish dish my wife ordered.
Hope the next time will be better.
Extremely slow service and the food was mediocre, at best.
Overall we enjoy eating here and have done so several times. Being that our last dining experience was New Year's Eve, it was quite evident our server had plans after his shift was over. He disappeared for an extended period of time at one point and then seemed intent on rushing us out the door with a good two hours before closing time. Service was okay, but I wasn't blown away by it.
Wonderful experience. Honestly me and my girlfriend were celebrating our 2 year anniversary and everyone was so nice we got seated so fast even though we had reservations for later. It was great and food was amazing. It entered my clean plate club
Good, attentive service.
Well prepared and good tasting food
While we had a reservation for 8 the fact that it took one and a half hours for our meal is excessive. Server was nice but could have been much more attentive.
Service to be seated and then at our table was terrible.
Overall great experience. They only issue was the table behind us played music from their phone the whole time on Christmas Eve. Not even Christmas music, rock music. That was distracting but food was really good.
First time for brunch at BRIO. Excellent food and the price was perfect. Very generous servings! We will definitely be back soon.
The best Caesar Salad we have ever had there and we can be tough critics!
I certainly would! They really can handle the crowds during the holiday season and can get you in and out, if needed!
Lunch choices are excellent in size, portion and value. You may order from soup/salad or salad/soup/entree combinations. Portions are the perfect size for lunch although very ample. Prices are in the $11.00 to $13.00 range. Salads on cold, cold plates and entrees on hot, hot plates--all delicious!
For some reason, this time our food had no flavor. Usually it is full of flavor. I ordered the salmon salad. I had to add salt a couple of times, which I never have to add when dining out. I asked for cheese, but I expected the feta cheese that was supposed to be on the salad, not grated parmesan. My salad had very little feta. Disappointed this time. Not up to the standards that I have known in the past!
Enjoyed the Lunch Combo offered at Brio because they are reasonably priced and delicious! Service was great too! And, because Brio is in the Polaris Mall, it is very convenient after a long day of shopping :)
