BRIO Tuscan Grille - Boca Raton
Brandon is a wonderful waiter. The food was delicious as always
We are so disgusted with the greed of a restaurant to overbook to the point if no space to stand. We had a 7:15 for which we arrived on time. I would like to add that we have already left the car with the valet so walking away in a snit is not really practical. The hostess was not particularly friendly and clearly overwhelmed by the slam of people . After waiting 30 minutes, we went to the desk and were told in a very snippy fashion that the majority of the waiting people all had 7 o’clocks and were way ahead of us. We watched 4 tables stay empty. The attitude is so unfriendly. We found 2 seats at the bar. Jordan was the “man”. He had wine, menus and setups for us within a few minutes. He was super friendly and definitely had time to chat. We had the same appetizer, the same bread, and the same dinners as we would have ordered at a table. I don’t relish sitting at a bar as I am short and my legs dangle. But there is no excuse for such callous disregard as well as seating walkins when there are reservations. We asked for a manager..both to give kudos to Jordan and try to understand what went wrong at the hostess stand. A waitress came to say sorry..the manager is not here. When I got home I wrote a detailed email to customer service with my complaints...and agsin praises for jordon..and got a thanks for my comments. I received an email from the manager, Rachel, apologizing for my experience and promised a telephone call....which clearly never came. There are far too many restaurants in Boca Raton to leave money at a place that so disrespects it customers. It will be a very very very long time before we consider eating here again and I am certainly spreading the word as far and wide as I can. No excuse
I wish I could give less than one star. My party of four arrived at 7pm last Monday night for our reservation. I made my husband drop me off in front so I wouldn’t check in late. I was told that it would be a few minutes. Upon looking around I saw many open tables so I thought all was well. Several minutes passed and people kept coming in and no one was being seated. I asked the hostess how much longer it would be since we were now well past our time. She then told me that everyone there had a 7pm reservation and they don’t control how many Open Table reservations they take, even if they know people will have to wait. She then told me that there were FIVE tables ahead of us. Oh....and they were short staffed so they’re not seating any of those open tables. We quickly regrouped and left. Not a good way to do business.
The waitstaff was almost non existent. Service was slow and the food was almost not worth waiting for.
I have been to this restaurant many times but never had an experience like this.
Probably would not want to return.
Service was slow, incomplete and missed the experience I was used to at this location. After discussing these points with management, they reduced the bill much to my satisfaction. I would go back because the food is great but I noticed that other restaurants in the area are also slower service than normal. Maybe the snow birds are putting a burden on the staff, which management should adjust to maintain level of service.
The evening started out bad. Arrived 15 min early for my reservation and walked into a backlog of people with reservations. Was told we had to be put in a waitlist. They were short staffed and had multiple parties. Basically the reservation meant nothing.
Approx 45 min later we were seated after what seemed like everyone being seated before us(maybe because I was a party of 7) but that should not of mattered. I had a reservation!
Nevertheless we were finally seated. I was quite upset but the waiter made up for the fiasco. He was great and the food was good. If it hadn’t been for that, I wouldn’t go back to this chain.
we enjoyed our caesar salads and lasagna very much. Only minor complaint is it's so cold! Even with a sweater I was shivering. Next time I'll bring a fleece jacket! The manager on duty (female/Sunday) was excellent. She pitched in, took orders, brought things out to customers, she and all the staff were friendly and polite.
We were provided a table outside at our request. We all noticed there was an unpleasant smell in the inside of the restaurant (all four of us). After waiting for 20 minutes for a waiter to appear so we could order food(no bread, no beverages, provided) I decided to ask for help from a waiter. He said he would find someone.
I then complained twice to the hostess over a 15 minute interval for help getting a waiter. Finally an inside waiter took our order. The manager came over stating I should not complain to anyone but her (considering she was absent it would be difficult to accommodate this) She provided some complimentary spinach dip which was a nice gesture of sorts, but quite frankly after making the request so many times for help to order food, I was worn out. So were the other three people in my party. The manager needs to be retrained, or the people working under her, because my experience was awful. Not recommended and I will not be returning. 35 minutes to wait for service so someone can take our order is just not workable.
The was the absolute worst service I’ve ever experienced! Totally ignored for over 10-15 mins once seated, then told our waiter was made “fully aware” of our presence although he never appeared. While that first waiter subsequently took our order, he never reappeared. We finally got a manger’s attention but she was a joke, only offering to refill the ice tea. A truly horrible experience and seemed to be going on all over the restaurant. It’s a shame because the food was actually good. Never going back there!
We started off with a few drinks which were great. A nice pour, as we hate the scientific measured drinks. We had fantastic food. Filet Mignon was perfect as were the other dishes. Salads were fresh. Our waiter was the only downside of the experience. I don't think he was experienced, although nice. I prefer a well coordinated service.
Service a little slow. Food was good but kind of lacking in Flavia. Very bland.
We went to Brio in Boca Raton last Saturday. Our reservations were honored and we were seated promptly. We all ordered cocktails and then leisurely perused the menu. Three different entrees were ordered shrimp over pasta, stuffed chicken parmesan and chicken caprese. We all enjoyed our dinners. The food is always good, the portions are ample and the price is reasonable. Our service was friendly and efficient. The manager stopped by to make sure we were happy with our dinners- a nice touch.
very poorly run!! The hostess staff didn't know what they were doing and really messed things up!!
If you went decent food in a noisy setting with terrible service then this is the place for you. We have been more than once and had very rude and inattentive service. The food is mediocre (too heavy sauces). The only redeemable part of our last experience was a manager who noticed how bad things had gotten and offered a free dessert (which was a nicely light and delicious cheesecake). When we overhead the manager comment that she had to comp us a dessert, the waitress said “whatever.” So we give this restaurant a whatever grade. Do yourself a favor and don’t go here.
Great food, great service, surprisingly moderate prices, even with drinks. Have been there before and will return again.
Waiter and manager so accommodating!!
We have been here several times. I really would give the rating if 3.5. The outdoor seating is really good. The food is not a great Italian show. Lacked a bit of seasoning. Server was good.
Food was excellent, well prepared and flavorful but the service was absolutely terrible. We were there early and the main dining area of the restaurant was virtually empty. It was Happy Hour and the bar and terrace were busy but not crazy. It took over 15 minutes to have our drinks served and the excuse was "the bar is really busy". Before we ordered, we told the server that it would be two sperate checks, one for each couple. After the meal, we were given one check for the full amount of both couples. Since things had been so slow, we opted to just give her two credit cards and asked her to split it 50/50. Upon returning, she had charged one card the full amount while the other card was missing and not returned. Evidently she dropped it along the way. Once we found the credit card on the floor, we asked again to split the charge 50/50. This time she returned with both cards and the correct amount on one card but no receipt for signature on the other card! So this time we called one of the floor managers over to straighten things out, and after a rather curt and impolite response to our problem, she finally got it right. Good thing the food was good or I would have given this experience a "one star" review.
Salmon was wonderful. Servers attention was sparse.
Birthday. Dinner was fabulous. Server was wonderful.
The food is not tasty. Just big portion for nothing.
One of my favorite go to places and the financial incentives for repeat visits add to my delight.
Reservation successfully made thru Open Table. Table was ready , waitress was lovely and efficient and food was delicious.
Good experience for lunch/brunch on weekend. Party of seven enjoyed birthday celebration. Waiter provided treats for sharing.
We didn’t have a great experience this time. The restaurant was really not busy when we sat down at 6pm. It took our server a long time to arrive. We had to ask for our server to order and another man said he’s also assigned so there was no excuse if we actually had two to assist. The entrees took almost 45 minutes to arrive. One dish was not hot and the other was missing a main ingredient. They need to step it up or people will not return.
Good restaurant. Food was average. Meal ok.
Nice place for dinner. Had a nice time there last Thursday.
Marvia - MGR and Devon- our server were fabulous ! Enjoyed our meals and the Lava cake was great as always .
Enjoyed great food and service at the Brio located at the Town Center in Boca Raton. Lots of outdoor seating and our party of 6 enjoyed our lunch which included lunch entrees Chicken Limone, Lobster Bisque & the Margherita Flatbread and Chicken Marsala. The lunch entrees are all good size portions and you can mix and match from a nice list of choices. My spouse and I have been to many different Brio locations and we are never disappointed. This particular time, we were meeting relatives and they let us linger at the table long after we had finished our meal. It was very relaxing and as I said above, the service was great. We will definitely return to the Boca Raton location in the future.
Great menu, food was delicious - took family there (wife, daughters, grandkids).
Went to the location in Boca Raton, which we prefer since it's closer to us, but the location in Plantation is nice as well (it's our 2nd visit to Brio Grille) - would highly recommend!
My wife and I were celebrating her birthday on February 3, 2020. The restaurant was not crowded at all we sat down and ordered a drink. The server was very nice and took our order. At that time the hostess sat a couple with a two-year-old child right next to us as opposed to any one of the dozens of tables which were empty. The child began to scream and carry-on which made for a not so enjoyable dinner. Our server saw the problem and requested the manager to do something. Nothing was done and my wife and I moved to a different table before our main course arrived. This instance put a damper on our entire evening.
We were a table of 10 that they squeezed into a table of 8 at best. Waiter didn’t care Waiter never came back to check on the food. Chicken dry. One person had a ceaser salad with schrimp and couldn’t eat it. We had to ask another waiter to get our waiter to get our waiter and by the time he came everyone was finished. Awful service. If a woman didn’t come over our water glasses would never have gotten refilled. It was so uncomfortable to sit so close together and the shame of it there was plenty of room to add another table. Not inexpensive and basically not worth it.
We were going to a show at nearby FAU and hoped to have dinner in a reasonable amount of time. My Salmon Fresca dinner came out incorrectly. I had requested certain items not to be on my dish and for the sauces on the side. They offered to make a new dish. That dish came out rearranged, but same problem. Sent back again, this time the manager was involved. The order came out looking better, so I accepted it. Once I started eating, I realized that the sweet potatoes were still drenched in sauce. So they basically kept rearranging the same dish and never bothered to re-make it correctly. Meanwhile my husbands pasta with chicken order was cold while he waited and needed to be reheated. When that came out, it was dried out and burnt.
We have been to this location for brunch and have never been dissatisfied. We will not return here for dinner again. Big waste of time. We ended up grabbing a quick bite elsewhere.
Front reception and waitress Brittany were exceptionally pleasant and attentive. Menu is diversified with many choices to satisfy everyone.
Good nice experience
We came to celebrate family members’ anniversary. Great food and great service. Highly recommend!
Salmon Fresca is fabulous ! The combination of flavors is wonderful ! Love it !
The polenta with shrimp was excellent.
THE WORST. The waitress, noise level, the sauce was the worst we every had at Brio. Also, they cleared the table while we were still eating & never asked if we wanted a box for the leftovers. More than half of our meals were not eaten.
Love the appetizers and could spend the whole meal sampling small plates. Sitting outside was delightful, but service was slow and sloppy. Table should be cleaned better between courses and spills should be attended to with proper cleanup
