BRIO Tuscan Grille - Birmingham - Brookwood Village
Food was excellent. Garrett was great as always. Stephen makes the best flirtini ever! Today was a good day!
Food great but server, while friendly, was very slow despite not being busy,
Slow service...poor food quality.
Always reliable and good!
One of the lights above our table was flickering in a strobe-like way that was distracting. We asked if it could be fixed, and our waiter said no. We then asked a manager to move our party to another table. When the waiter brought our drinks, he skipped one of our guests. When he later took our orders, he skipped over the same guest. It was like he wasn't even there. Another member of our party ran over and told the waiter what our friend wanted to order. The waiter never mentioned his mistake or apologized. The food was fine as far as I know, and we enjoyed our party; however, the guest of honor later told me that her meal was terrible and "full of onions." This place has been a go-to for a long time, but it's become pretty hit-or-miss.
Our server (she is originally from Chicago) was very attentive and accommodating.
We went to Brio for Mother's Day lunch. Since we have two small children, I order everything, including drinks, appetizers and meals the first time the server comes over. Our service was incredibly slow, and our server did not check on us after dropping off food. At one point, we had a water spill, and it took 15 minutes to get it cleaned up, and that was after notifying both our server and a manager. No one replaced the napkins we had used to clean up the spill, so we had one napkin once our dinner arrived. The entire staff seemed indifferent to our presence, and then we had a $90 bill. I expect more when I'm spending close to $100.
May want to avoid major holidays like Mother’s Day. While our server was lovely, it took well over an hour to get our food, and even then, one entree order hadn’t even been put in the computer so one person in our party had to wait 10+ minutes more. Food is always good here. We weren’t even told there was a brunch menu available until about 15 minutes after we’d perused the main menu.
We made reservations at noon on Mother's Day - the busiest day of the year. We arrived 15 minutes early and we were immediately seated. Josh, our waiter, was very attentive and he took good care of us. I ordered the ham and eggs benedict while my wife ordered the Mediterranean salad with salmon. Mine was delicious, but the salad was chopped iceberg lettuce. Good, but not worthy of the connotation "Mediterranean." All in all, we enjoyed the entire experience and, for a very busy Sunday brunch, Josh did a great job.
Brio was very accommodating to our graduation party of 10. I changed the number a couple of times and they were great! Our waiters were amazing and the food was absolutely delicious! Thank you for helping make the celebration of our Samford graduate top notch!
The service time was a little long. Once the food came we were fine.
We have eaten at this Brio Grille many times, but had not been there in quite a while, so it was a good choice for a Thursday night out. We were seated promptly and service was fast and friendly. Our waiter Josh and assistant Brennan took good care of us. I had the “chicken under a brick” marsala, which was excellent, although it could have used a little more Marsala sauce as it had only a couple of spoonfuls on the plate. My husband had the lemon chicken, which he enjoyed very much. I had a glass of Wente chardonnay - wine is slightly overpriced but the by-the-glass selections were decent. This is a large, open room restaurant, so noise is a bit more than you would get in a place that is more compartmented, but it is bright and airy, and the seating and dining spaces appear updated and in good shape.
A good choice for everyday or special dining.
Brio has slipped. Food not seasoned well. Service was slow, very poor. It was Cinco de Mayo so the place was empty. Parts of the order were never brought. Meal for a child was brought last after a long delay. Probably our last time to go to Brio.
Not crowded. Service was flawless. Special request for degree of doneness was handled exactly.
Our service from when we walked in the door until we left was impeccable. The food was great. We will return.
We had dinner to celebrate our daughters college graduation. The food and service we're very good. Will go back next time we're in Birmingham!
It was busy and the staff seemed perturbed. Our waitress could not have been less interested in giving us a pleasant dinner. Food was so-so.
Excellent service, great food. Try the lobster bisque, best I’ve had
My girlfriends and I love meeting at Brio. The beef medallions were excellent!!!!
After making reservations via Opentable we still waited 25 minutes before being seated. No big deal considering it was Easter and understandable since we had arrived at 1pm. However, once seated, we waited a FULL hour before receiving our food which is totally unacceptable even on a holiday. Our food selections were quite easy and not a matter of our choices being time consuming to prepare. We truly considered leaving without our food as the Waiter finally brought our meal. We will certainly continue dining at Brio's and will recommend to friends but NEVER again on a holiday. Also, as we were leaving the dining area an extremely irritated and rude patron was speaking to a Brio's employee about their wait of over an hour. It was a "heated" discussion on BOTH sides (the patron & employee who was wearing a Chef's jacket) which was surprising to witness. All around a negative experience but chalking it up to not being properly staffed in order to accommodate the crowd.
Easter with elderly parents-outstanding service and food
Wonderful Brunch! We will make it an every weekend event.
It was a disappointing meal and experience, especially for the price. We took our son out to dinner Saturday night for an Early Easter meal. The server was ok but basically inattentive. The food was fair - my son ordered the shrimp and lobster fettuccine and I took a bite of it - I would have sent it back. It was basically inedible to me - there was so much nutmeg in the alfredo sauce, I personally wouldn't have eaten it. Also, I believe it you order a side salad with an entree, there should be some sort of a price break instead of full menu price. That is how most restaurants work, even BRAVO Italiana which is almost the exact same restaurant but much nicer. As stated, the server was nice but very rarely seen - we even joked that she might have taken a break or something. The price of our 3 meals was ridiculous for the quality of the food served.
Great evening, every night eating with you guys has been a pleasure
The food was delicious!
Great food. The only negative was they had runout of wedge salad lettuce and they forgot to mention it or suggest an alternative salad until the entree was being served
Server had poor communication skills. I hosted my bridal shower there and my guest was in dislike with our waiter that served our table. Also. There were two of my guest that sent their food back and they stated the manager was not a bit concerned of why their food was sent back and did not offer another menu selection. Overall, I wished I had chosen a different restaurant to host such a precious memory for me.
2nd time- enjoy it! Will return & recommend to others!
My dinner was from the starter menu. It was a large, scrumptious crab cake, and it came with a delicious sauce on the side and a small side salad, which was plenty along with the bread basket for an early supper. My chardonnay was very nice. Our waiter was personable and made excellent recommendations when asked. My only complaint is that we were seated at 5:00, among the first guests present, planning to attend a 7:00 show, and our food was not served until after the restaurant had filled up at 6:00.
Everything was clean and service was wonderful. Food was awesome! Will be coming back again. Keep up the good work! Great food, Great fun, Great family ❤
food was amazing, i ordered the shrimp and lobster fettuccini and will definitely be back for it again
Food was excellent, service was excellent, everything about it was good. Be sure to dodge prom season, but overall myself and the woman I’m courting had a very good time.
We were swamped, so we slipped away for a quick 35th anniversary dinner. It was so nice to just step into those pretty surroundings, forget the outside world and enjoy a lovely dinner.
Loved the ability to make a reservation online. The service, ambiance and the food were excellent. Our waitress, Olivia, was outstanding! She was very attentive to our needs. Thanks!
Very disappointing. Had not been here in a while and was looking forward to the meal. Restaurant was over half empty at 7:30. Should have been a clue. Don’t blame spring break either.
Wonderful Sunday Brunch. Wonderful brunch menu
Food and service were great. We love BRIO because of the consistancy.
Good food, Cheap and unpolished atmosphere, bad and inattentive service.
