BRIO Tuscan Grille - Birmingham - Brookwood Village
I have been there when it was much more crowded. Took 1 hour to get our food. Waiter took 45 minutes to bring my drink. Didn’t check on us even though it was taking forever. Never offered to comp us anything. I used to love the place but I am unlikely to return.
Enjoyed every minute....Will definitely be returning!!!
My Daughter’s 16th birthday with ten friends, service was great, food was awesome. Always love Brio’s
It was great! I just wish or server where a little bit more friendly.
The dishes are hit or miss. I had pesto pasta, and it was dry and tough. I expected better for a $16 dish. My daughter had the steak medallions and she enjoyed hers. The service was good and its a lovely atmosphere.
John was a very friendly server, but he seemed to be stretched too thin. He told me twice he would refill my empty glass of iced tea before I reminded him a third time however, once the bill was paid, he never showed his face again.
Great food, bit pricey. Service was NOT good but waitress was VERY, VERY sweet. Do not think it was her fault at all. iW
Good service and good food.
We had such a great time here! I took my bridesmaids (all of various ages) here for a night out & we had amazing food and excellent service!
Our food was amazing and the service was phenomenal!!
Our server was excellent and followed through with each request
The pasta dishes and salmon al fresco were amazing
My granddaughters really liked the lava cake
I tasted it and agreed
Overall a wonderful dining experience
Until this visit, we’ve always had great food and service at Brio. This time, one diner’s steak was very over cooked with cold sides. The other 2 dishes were fine. Our server was less attentive and personable than we’ve come to expect over many years of dining there.
Since the recent management change, Brio’s is not as good as it once was for the 10 years that I dined there. The food portions are less and the prices have increased substantially! Not my favorite restaurant anymore!
Food is outstanding and the service was great. However the noise level was very loud and made for a slightly unpleasant experience. We went with another couple to celebrate their anniversary and had a hard time just hearing each other.
The food was delicious. Our service was good. We asked for a different table because the sun was in our eyes and they accompanied us without a problem . It was a pleasant evening.
Brio is my favorite restaurant. Consistent great food and wonderful service! My party of 12 was especially impressed with our server for the evening Nichole. Nichole anticipated and was attentive to our every need. Each member in my (birthday) party complimented her exceptional service. A couple of older people in my group, and some who was dining at Brio for the first time, was not familiar with the restaurant's menu. Nichole took the time to explain the menu carefully. She also offered suggestions and even made substitutions that are normally not allowed. She really made our day. I will certainly request Nichole specifically when I return. I'm a Brio rewards member and I make frequent visits.
Always a treat!
Our food and service was delightful, as usual. We love this place.
Made the reservations through Open Table. Open Table would not allow me to make the reservation for more than 2 persons. Had to call restaurant to change to 3.
2 people ordered pasta dish which was fine. One ordered Gorgonzola Crusted Beef Medallions. Beef was ordered medium rare and was delivered medium. Vegetables were barely warm. Person who delivered the beef meal stated one of the medallions was too small and I would be brought another one. I received the replacement when we were leaving.
Waiter was unable to enter credit into Open Table by using my phone number. He also stated they had been having trouble with their system and offered to have me sign up with their system. I declined.
Overall I’m not happy with Open Table usage or Brio at this time. This is now the second time in a row that I have not been able to modify the number of guests for a reservation.
My previous Open Table usage status showed two usages orior to this BRIO reservation and still shows two reservations after, which tells me the Open Table system was unable to credit this re ENT BRIO reservation.
It was actually my anniversary. And the service was awesome. The food what'sgood also . My waiter's name was Dion and he was very helpful with the menu and made sure my wife was comfortable with her order.
Everyone was so nice! They were such kind people and the food was incredible! Our sweet waiter even brought me an extra dessert for my birthday! We can’t wait to go back!
My mother enjoyed her birthday! Thank you very much!
Always a good restaurant. I had a disappointing experience with Brio rewards on this visit. I had two rewards open each for ten dollars. I asked the waitress to use the one the expired first. She used the other one saying it was older and ignored that it expired later.
We waited several minutes arriving exactly on time, looking at a vacant hostess desk with nobody seeming to notice we were standing there. Our reservation was at a slow weekday time. Place was about 1/10 full. Finally, a passing by waiter asked if we’d been helped. I told him we had an open table reservation. He took us to our seat where we sat for 10 more minutes with nobody even acknowledging us. Our waiter, when he realized we were there, He did a good job. Later on I received a notice from OpenTable that we never showed up for our reservation. Considering the poor treatment as mentioned above, that was frustrating. We are frequent customers, and over the last year the service has deteriorated, especially in terms of the hostess desk. The food was excellent, however, and Brios is geographically convenient for us. If it wasn’t for that, we would not return.
The food was excellent. The staff was polite, respectful, and served us or food quickly. The cost of our dinner was as expected, but not unreasonable. I will definetely go back again.
I would recommend it as just ok - we had a long wait for our food to arrive and the restaurant was not even half full. Food was moderate. Service was good.
We have eaten at Brio many times and it is usually outstanding. This particular visit was a little of a disappointment. The service was outstanding as usual. The mushroom ravioli has changed sauces and it was not nearly as good. The NY strip was cooked to the right temperature but lacked the usual rich flavor. We will return but the food was not up to par this visit.
The calamari wasn’t great. I thought it was frozen - not fresh. My chicken was over cooked . My pasta was over cooked. I was underwhelmed.
First time there, was told to try Porkchops and they had been taken off menu. Not much to choose from on menu. My bill was over $70 and food wasn't that good. As for service, the young man did a great job. Would have to think twice about going there again. Thank you.
Significant decline in quality. Still a beautiful restaurant but the food was dry average. Dirty menus, dingy plates-
We were in Birmingham for Father’s Day with a 1:15p reservation for 6 people. Once we ordered we had more than a one hour wait for our food.
Happy to find they had a separate gluten free menu with a good variety of choices. Food was very good, and the staff was friendly. We'll be back here for sure.
Just had a rude waiter, but talked to the manager about our experience.
Was wonderful food !!
The food was good but only the brunch menu is available on the weekend not the regular lunch menu.
We had a really great dinner. We had no wait time and were quickly seated. The food was wonderful and so was the ambience.
Brios’s offers good food and good service. We had a party of five including two children. We all enjoyed the food and the server did a good job. One thing consistently annoys me, however, and that’s the incredibly slow bar service. It takes ten minutes or more for a drink to be delivered from the bar to the table. I don’t understand that slowness and eventually that delay will force us to go somewhere besides Brios.
