BRIO - Lyndhurst - Legacy
You can sip and savor your way through the week at Brio! Mondays we offer $2.50 Bar Bites from 3:30 to 6:30 in the bar. Tuesdays you can whine a little with Half-Off Bottled Wine ($75 or less). Wednesdays are meant for cocktail infusions, they are just $5 all day.
We were a party of 15 people. We were there early 11:00 on Sunday morning and there were only 4 other tables at that time with people dining also. They had only 1 server for us and she seemed new to this type of work. Refills on coffee, water and soft drinks was a daunting task for her. The food was subpar for the price. The pasta/chicken dish I ordered was lukewarm and lacking in flavor. The bathroom sink water did not get warm at all when I was washing my hands. The only thing this place has going for it is ambiance. We will not return ever.
Our server went “above and beyond” to provide us excellent service.
Good value with great atmosphere. Food presentation and taste was great. Would eat here again.
I made the reservation for eleven people a week and a half before the dinner date. When we arrived, the table was not ready and it took about ten minutes to get ready for our seating. I thought that with such a large reservation our seating would be ready when we arrived.
The waitress was so slow in bringing our drinks that I had to find a manager to help with our drink order.
Food was good. A bit price but, ok.Very bad service. Very loud ambience.
Waited 40 minutes for soup -- food came first and was SENT BACK
Food was good but service was awful and it wasn’t the kitchen’s fault. I understand that it’s Mother’s Day and it’s busy but the server came over to our table like 3 times in over an hour. He had multiple tables but no one was assisting him unfortunately. I feel bad for other tables that had larger groups cause they were probably in the restaurant for over 2 hours. Will not go back anytime soon.
Server was fantastic. Friendly, engaged, prompt and accurate. Support staff was rushed and flustered. Food was good but overpriced. Reservations were not correct and I understand it was Mother’s Day and very busy. But entire experience was disorganized.
Hostess was MORE THAN RUDE!!!
We got our food over an hour after ordering!
The food was excellent, but our server was unpleasant to the point of being rude. Not sure why he works in a service industry.
It was not up to what it should be for a Saturday night
Celebrated "almost" Mother's Day on Saturday Evening with a delicious meal!
Arrived five minutes before reservation time. Proceeded to watch several walk ins get seated before us. Host admitted he forgot to check us in. From the time we arrived to getting water, 34 minutes elapsed. Ordered appetizers, salads, and entree, and a bottle of wine concurrently. Split wedge salad after assurances it was large enough to do so. It wasn’t. Appetizer of beef carpaccio was large and delicious. Split salad arrived one minute later and was tiny. Entree arrived and still no server or wine. After 10 minutes, server arrived with excuse of having three tables to serve. Obviously not knowing how to open the wine, he struggled, busted the cork and his knuckles, and took the bottle out of sight to remove the cork. Returning he poured the wine holding bottle by the neck and did not offer a taste. The entrees were served hot and were delicious, but a little pricey for portion size. Manager was responsive to our concerns though through her own admission is new and still assessing operations.
First we had to wait for a server he did not know we were seated then he was rushing us to order my Marsala chicken was not a true Marsala. We gave the server a brio gift card and cash for remainder of bill instead of putting the gift card thru first he did the cash and left a balance of $6 on the card the card should have been done first was he worried about a tip I don’t know they should have been told about that
I cannot recommend the restaurant for two reasons: (1) The service was terrible. We were a party of 7, and we received practically no attention from our waitress. One of my Sisters ordered a salad. We requested it of the waitress at least four times. She apologized, over and over again, and eventually brought out a salad to go so my Sister could take it home. The waitress never offered any of us sodas, tea, coffee, etc., with our meals. She did not refill our water glasses. She did not check to see if our entrées were OK. I had to ask her to remove dirty appetizer dishes from our table. She disappeared soooooooooo much I had to ask another waiter to find our waitress so we could have our entrées adjusted. My Brother's steak medallions were burnt to a black, charcoal crisp under the bottom. This is totally unacceptable as the food was not edible. My carbonara entre was dry -- no sauce evident on the plate. My Brother and I waited a long time before the waitress came back to the table so every one was eating except us, for a long time. (2) The chef sent out one burnt entrée, which should never happen. Lastly, I wrote my phone number on the ticket in the hopes a manager would call me to find out about my experience. No one called. I left only a $10 tip because I did not feel right leaving nothing, which is really what the waitress earned.
Everything was great and the waiter was very pleasant. Everyone had a nice time.
Great meal as always
The food was well prepared. The service was prompt and friendly.
All in all, this was an OK place to eat. The food was tasty, the decor was pretty, the service good but nothing jumped out as amazing. It was Fairly expensive for what you pay for. With so many choices close by, I would spend my money elsewhere for better value.
There is a new lunch menu, but the new menus are not ready. Big error
They could take a pic of the menu on the outside
Of the restaurant then print copies from an iPhone
Or iPad. It’s not that difficukt
My husband had lamb,6 large chops and the ends had too much fat $34 meal not worth it
The service was exceptional! The food was very good as always. Enjoyable experience
The food was good. Service was very slow considering the restaurant was only half full at the time.
Our waitress was very nice. The new “Coastal” look is cool, but I really miss the old menu! The shrimp & lobster fettuccine had so much garlic sauce. I miss the old “Shrimp & Lobster garganelli” & the oak roasted pulled chicken salad (hasn’t been on the menu in @ 10 years). We had our rehearsal dinner at BRIO & it used to be my favorite restaurant. Now it just tastes like they’re trying to save money & sacrificing flavor.
Service was very, very slow. It appears they were understaffed.
Great restaurant. The service was great, food was great, and great atmosphere. I definitely recommend this restaurant.
not sure we got there early than the 1145am and the hostess was extremely nice and seated us right away. The service was slow ---food was good ---- we did have plans to shop after lunch and the portions were large wish you had a smaller plate menu. We ordered our drinks and then waited and waited for them. Once we got our drinks after ten minutes took another long wait for to have our ordered taken
Excellent service food very tasty, good ambiance wine affordable
Staff very courteous and efficient
Excellent food prepared well, and outstanding pleasant atmosphere. The service was great, as well!
Server had an attitude. Sure did not feel like she cared about our table. Had to keep asking for water. Food was very good.
Went on a Monday night when the restaurant was empty and it took over an hour to get our food for 4 people. Food was good once we got it.
Great food and service
The service was exceptional.. Had a great time definitely would recommend this to family and friends
Food was very good. I highly recommend the salmon. Food could have been warmer. Service was excellent.
Appreciated their accommodating us - some of our group of 6 were early - others arriving different times. Waitress was most kind to "go with the flow". Thank you! Helene Finke
We have always had good experiences with Brio, however this time was an exception. Our waitress was not very attentive - at times she looked our way, but not sure exactly what she could have been doing. Food that evening was not on par with other times we have dined there.
The salad greens could have been fresher and my shrimp was a bit over cooked; otherwise everything else was great. We don’t like the increase in salad prices— no more discount for buying a salad with an entree.
Great service and good food! Would definitely go back.
Some food came out 10 minutes later, they didn’t clear dishes. Food was just OK.
