    To be fair, we told our waitress we were not in a hurry. But waiting an hour for our entrees? And my husband's filet was: NOT a filet nor medium rare - it was actually charred on the outside. Our dessert was comped (?), but he would rather have had a good piece of meat. Sorely disappointed.

    The service was good but the food took forever. The appetizer was about to join our main dishes but we said we no longer wanted it. Our server was very pleasant but given the restaurant was only 1/2 full, the hour long wait was a bit much. The food was good but some if the dishes were under the warmer for a bit and were drying out. Unfortunately one of the dishes took a few more minutes to hit the table. Hard to see how we’ll back.

    We have visited Brio quite often. We love the moderate noise level and the convenience within walking distance of most events downtown Salt Lake. We had for dinner the Shrimp and Scallops Risotto. Hands down a wonderful choice. I specifically ordered with my dinner the Wedge Salad. I will be hard pressed to every enjoy a dinner salad as much as I enjoyed this one. All other salads, unfortunately, for them, will be compared to the Brio Wedge Salad. Great recommendation from our server.

    I hate to say it but the “Thanksgiving Feast” was lacking at best - which is really too bad because their Italian food is actually generally pretty good. The staff lacked attention to detail, we were not greeted upon coming in even though we had a reservation. We had to work our way to the hostess stand to get their attention. The table was ready within 10 mins of our reservation which was good and located in an area where we could contain our toddler (I called ahead to make that request) which was also good. The waiter messed up our salad orders and none of us got the Caesar salad we requested - we all got chopped salad of very poor quality instead. The appetizers arrived fairly quickly and were good. Then we had to wait for over an hour for the main course despite us saying our little kids were hungry. (I get it, it’s Thanksgiving and they seemed busy but it was a simple order of their main dish for the evening - they should have had plenty of it and to spare). Instead they just brought us more soda. The turkey and mashed potatoes that finally arrived were mediocre and not worth the price we paid. We had to ask two different waiters for the cranberry sauce twice before it finally showed up 10 mins later. Then it turned out they didn’t have pumpkin pie which was part of the Thanksgiving Feast menu - mind you this is not at the end of the evening when they could have run out - we came for an early dinner. The pecan pie and ice cream we got instead were not up to par either. Service was mediocre at best. So much for a happy Thanksgiving family dinner we were looking forward to with our in-laws. Not sure we will be coming back to this location.

    The food was great and our server, Riley, was wonderful. For some reason Brio was out if most white wines which seems odd since their wine list is basic so why are they out of stock? Took four tries to find a white wine that they had in stock

    Brio apparently does not honor reservation times as I had to wait 40 minutes for a table for a 6:15pm reservation. Finally received a table when I asked what happened to my reservation when other 6:30pm parties for 2 were seated before me. The salmon fresca was good but not very warm; apparently from sitting too long before serving or from chilled diced tomato sprinkled on the dish (possibly both). Never had a wait of over 5-10 minutes before at this Brio when I had a reservation in the past. My meal had to be rushed due to the late seating and a need to make another event.

    We were seated quickly and our waiter took our orders quickly, but that was the end of any kind of quickness. The restaurant was not full, but it still took almost 45 minutes to get our food, the waiter even told us 15 minutes in that our food would be out in just a few seconds. One would think that if your food took forever to get to the the table that it would not be undercooked, but my noodles were crunchy and not done. The portions were good and the food tasted fine, but for the price we were underwhelmed. Service was ..... OK. Our drinks were refilled before they were empty, but the waiter seemed like they were avoiding us. Overall it was ok, but at $30 a plate I would not recommend.

    For the money, with an open main dining room, they sat everyone near each other so we couldn’t hear each other’s conversation across a table. One waitress was fine, the lobster bisque seem like it was made from a base and not a pure reduction and served cool, the garlic toast was also cool, the chicken masala was salty, which brings me back to the lobster bisque it was salty the asparagus as well was salty. We did not have dessert, thank you

    Overall, we left disappointed. The restaurant was very busy when we arrived. This led to poor service and disappointing food quality. Calamari was extremely rubbery. All other meals arrived looking like they had sat under a heat lamp for an extended period of time. My filet medallions we dry and crusty. We will not be back.

    I get very frustrated when I have a reservation and they do not seat me. That is the whole point of a reservation. Last night was crowded, and I guess they were short on servers, but we literally waited 40 minutes past the time of our reservation before we got a table. Totally unacceptable. They knew I was angry, and tried to make it up to me, but I will not be back.

    The only reason I am giving a 3 star to the ambience is because of where we were seated inside the restaurant, we were tucked in the corner right by the kitchen so we were able to hear the cooks doing there thing pretty clearly but outside that it was amazing food and it’s still our favorite place

    A solid choice for dinner. Found everything to be very good but nothing really outstanding and there's nothing wrong with that. Not our first time eating at Brio and there is comfort that it has been consistent regardless of the city we've been to for dinner.

    Was not impressed. Not an authentic Italian dinner. Nothing Italian about the food beside the description in the menu. Pretty much tasteless and too salty. Chewy calamari’s etc

    I looked at reviews the day of our reservations and seen that several reviews mentioned bad service and people walking out because their food didn’t arrive after 1 1/2 hours so they walked out. I should’ve trusted the reviews because the waiter said we should place our dinner selection at the the time we placed our starter selection as it could take along time we did and everything came at one, our cocktail, started, sales, and main course. It will be awhile before we return. Very bad experience.

    Very very slow service. Took almost 50 minutes to get our food. The waiter was nice but said they were short staffed in the kitchen. This is the second time this has happened to us. We always go to Brio before we see a show at Eccles but we won’t be back now.

    This is the restaurant we consistently choose to complement our evenings at the theater. I have never had a negative experience that was not properly addressed and overly compensated. Today’s experience was an exception to that consistency. Our server Elizabeth (at 1:53 PM table 12.  SEQ 048776) did everything she could to make up for the incompetency of the management team, but the damage had already been done. The summer specials advertised on each table were missing vital ingredients, and two of the meals being ordered were from this specialty menu. When asked what compensation could be made for the negligence of the missing ingredients, management refused to make accommodations for the inconvenience. This altercation put the members of the dining party in a very uncomfortable position which soured the rest of the meal.

    The food was very good. The service was not good. We waited for two hours to get our food. The waiter and waitresses did everything they could. However, the food was slow at coming out of the kitchen. This is our second time there in the last year, and we had the same experience. We asked to talk to a manager three times and no Manager ever came to the table. This is not acceptable.

    We had reservations for 6pm with tickets across the street for 8pm show. Our waiter Richard was terrific took our drink orders and appetizer promptly and the drinks were delivered quickly. At that point we put in our supper order……we were having a great time…..but something went wrong somewhere because there was an hour wait from finishing our salads to getting our main dishes…….people seated 15 mins after us were served and left before our meal arrived. With that type of delay I expected to be comped our appetizers or a gift card to return. But nothing. I would have said something but we literally had to run across the street and barely made the start of the show.

    We had an okay experience. The food was very good, and priced fairly. We ordered the Pasta Brio and the Sausage Rigatonj and the pasta brio was one of the best pasta dishes I’ve ever had. Our service was not as good. Our server disappeared for over 30 minutes when we needed a water refill and the food took an hour from time of order to table. Overall, we want to come back because the food was great, and in hopes of a better service experience.
