BRIO - Charlotte - Piedmont
You can sip and savor your way through the week at Brio! Mondays we offer $2.50 Bar Bites from 3:30 to 6:30 in the bar. Tuesdays you can whine a little with Half-Off Bottled Wine ($75 or less). Wednesdays are meant for cocktail infusions, they are just $5 all day.
Pleasant atmosphere, excellent service with good food!
I’ve eaten at a few Brio locations so I will say that I probably should not have went into this one comparing as I did. We had a party of 8 and our server was not attentive. The restaurant was almost bare. Our reservations were for 5pm on Sunday evening. I asked him about a specific cocktail only for him to being out a sangria. Multiple plates were cold and some dishes that are normally delicious, lacked flavor. When our tickets came out, our waiter had SCRIBBLED in our gratuity. When asked why it was not computerized, he had no response. My gratuity was not calculated correctly but after the lack of receptiveness, I decided not to put up a fight. Overall, I was disappointed with my experience at this location. It was a far cry from previous times I’ve visited the chain.
Never disappointed here. Always great food for value
Excellent food and great service! We were accommodated with everything we asked. We called ahead and ask to be outside in the shade. Such a nice friendly staff
It was a very busy Mother’s Day evening. That should have been anticipated & additional wait staff needed. We asked for bread several times. Our waitress was running around & finally said as she flew by that she had forgotten.
The noise from the bar was so loud. Bartender throwing empty wine bottles into trash made so much noise as bottles hit together. Our food was good. Service & noise hampered the evening.
Service much worse than usual - very little attention was paid to our table. Had to ask for things multiple times, restaurant was out of sauce for my wife’s and daughter’s favorite dish (seriously? It was Mother’s Day and it was a white cream sauce). Other tables seated after us received bread and appetizers before us. Valet left auxiliary on in my car which ran my battery down. Had to flag someone down to jump my car to get it started. Otherwise, food was very good, but based on service and valet issue, will likely cross this place off our last and go somewhere else for meals in the future. There are many, MANY options in South Park as well as Ballantyne where we live.
Great experience other than they were super busy so the service was slow. It was Mother’s Day, so I guess it was to be expected.
Had a great time and waiter was very nice. I got the salmon and it was amazing but the pasta that someone else got was okay. Expensive but worth it.
Service was very slow and food was just ok. Our chicken came out completely burnt. Artichoke dip was cold and mediocre.
I have been to brio several times and it gets worse everytime. We are there for mother's day dinner at 4 PM. Calamari was not cooked and soggy. Shrimp with eggplants was very good. Mushroom soup was good. Our entree overall was pretty average. 6 of us all ordered some type of pasta and we were all disappointed whether it was over cooked pasta to bland to very dry and salty pasta.
Service was very slow even though we had empty tables around us.
Also you guys have to fix the valet situation. You guys offer free valet but you basically have to wait like 20 mins get your car because it gets backed up. This happens every time.
I’ve been there before and service is usually excellent but that day wasn’t very good, we didn’t get bread plates I had to ask for water refill and food took too long. I understand it was a busy day , our server was too serious but a lady helped us she was really nice!
The food overall was not good. My husbands omelet came out cold. Instead of making him another one they heated it which just dried it out even more. My husband also ordered coffee and asked for creamer. The first time the waiter brought some for him. The next two times the waiter just took it upon himself to put the creamer in my husbands coffee instead of bringing it out. How lazy and how would he even now how much creamer a person would want. My brother didn’t even get to eat. His $39 Halibut was horrible and tasteless. They did take it back and removed the cost for it but he didn’t get to eat and they didn’t offer anything else. Very disappointing. We have always loved Brio but the food and service are not up to the standard they should be.
We first were Bravo customers and when they closed we switched to Brio's. We like the choices on the menu and was never disappointed no matter what we selected. The service is always good. I like the fact that there is valet parking, as I don't particularly care for deck parking. I belong to a monthly lunch group of ladies and we have been to Brio's several times.
We went on Mother's Day for brunch, my wife, myself, and our three kids. It was obviously a special occasion and the restaurant was very busy. The brunch items were obviously prepared ahead of time. My wife and I both ordered the italian omelette. The egg portion was cooked before hand and was only warm, while the ingredients inside were obviously added last second but were cold.
Enjoyed the appetizers and drinks! The shrimp and eggplant appetizer is always my go to... also had the tomato caprese salad and the tomato were tasteless.
Handled a group very efficiently! The service was friendly and prompt.
Great service and food
Great food and great Service. We were eighteen for a First Communion celebrations with the family.
Great for family dinner or date night. Always a great choice.
We've been there several times now. Always good food. Really like the free valet parking.
Amazing atmosphere and staff. The food was better than I've ever had there in the past. It was one of my better experiences I've ever had there.
Brio in Charlotte is a favorite of our family! Whenever our family is in Charlotte, we go there because of the wonderful food, service, and consistency of experience! The evening was perfect, and we were able to dine outside on the patio (a first for us). We will be back!
It was a business dinner and my vendors loved it very much. Food was delicious. Only 1 item, dinner came before we were done with appetizers were done so bad timing on the servers part but will definitely return.
Food and service was excellent. They took extra care to address my shell fish allergy by cooking my salmon in a separate pan.
Were out of the wine we wanted and out of the entree wanted.
In truth disappointment. Have taken my family and friends there over the years with complete satisfaction. Not the case this time, which by the way is the last.
The crux of this conversation is the service, or lack of it. Had a party of six and we were ushered to a table in a room that was suitable... it goes down hill from there.
The salt shaker had no retainer so our table cloth was well seasoned. The waitress apologized and removed salt, shaker from table. Obviously they were at a premium because it was never to return. Had to appropriate one from a nearby table. Ordered three appetizers for the table.. two of which were more than satisfactory, the calamari order was good but scant, not what I had grown accustomed to in this restaurant.
We ordered main courses and they were served in a timely manner. At the point of delivery we requested some extra marinara sauce for my grandsons plate... and was told it would be coming out ( remember the salt shaker?)
The restaurant was at 40% occupancy when this was transpiring so the work load would not justify the evaporating waitress. Our drinks however needed refreshing, the sauce wasn’t forthcoming and we desired some extra bread for the table... still no waitress... must have been her break time .
Long story short... got up went into the main section of the restaurant and approached another waitress about where our waitress was. She said she was the partner of the absent one , who by the way never appeared again. The service normalized from there. The sauce came as we were getting ready for desert, so it was a to go item.
The sad part of this is I look forward to seeing my daughter and family out. The lack of service took the edge off what has been usually a pleasant experience here, and it showed.
A decent restaurant has to have three attributes, atmosphere, good food and good service. Two out of three is not good.
The food was fantastic but we noticed one of the professionals on the line getting food to the servers eating out of the plates. This was very much a turn-off and the entire process was overwhelmed with the crowd for Easter. We were served immediately and got our drinks and appetizers almost immediately and they were fantastic. 1-hour later we received our entrees and most of the tables around us were complaining and joking with each other and all of us could not believe what we were seeing the professional do concerning eating food off a plate in the window where the meals were being laid out under the hot lamp. This is to nice of a restaurant that we have been going for years with great food to have this going on. I know the next time i will ensure i am not sitting near the prep area where i potentially could see such a unsightly view as that was.
Comparing to other Brio’s in other cities, this location has consistently been very slow in food preparation the last couple of times we have been there. Food is great, but waiting 40 min plus after order is placed to receive your food is not what I have experienced in other locations.
I have been to this location numerous times with wonderful experiences however this was not one of them. From start to finish there was not one good thing unfortunately . As someone who used to be in food service I was appalled with the entire experience; from waiting 30 minutes past our reservation time, to the lack of concern from the “three” servers working together to wait on us, asking multiple times for simple things like silverware, beverages and to get our order placed, and the excuses made my our main server as to why we didn’t have things I’ll be reluctant to go back. I realize holidays are busy times but nothing about this location seemed to say they were prepared for the volume of people to be taken care of and waited on.
Food excellent. Service not great. Felt rushed and never an offer for drink refills.
We were seated 30 minutes after our reservation time and service in general seemed very slow. Given it was Easter issues were not unexpected but they seemed very unprepared for the volume.
This visit was for Easter brunch. On past visits we have been very happy with this Brio however on this visit they clearly over-booked. The wait staff was terrific but they were having to apologize for the long wait. It took 35 minutes from the time our order was placed for the food to arrive at our table. Three in our party had omelets which came out cold. The other meals were OK but not exceptional as we have been accustomed at Brio. I chalk this up to over booking so probably will avoid holidays here in the future
Wonderful Easter brunch with the family. Great brunch selections plus the usual treats on the regular menu. Also fantastic service. Always a great spot.
I have always loved Brio in the past, but on this occasion, I did not find the food to be as good, especially for the prices we paid. Not sure if I will be going back. Also, missed having Chicken or veal parmesan.
For starters, the brunch menu was tiny. We ordered coffee and it took 20 minutes because the waitress had to make all of the espresso drinks herself for 10 people (instead of another staff member) - the omelette that I ordered was ice cold. They didn’t bring us a kids menu without us having to specifically ask for it. Everyone else with our party complained about their food as well. Would definitely not go back or recommend to anyone else for brunch. Extremely disappointed especially since we had family in for Easter and were hoping for a great experience after church. Unfortunately, it was a huge let down.
Server was wonderful very attentive to o our needs it was awesome
Love the food and the staff and the valet parking is great.
Excellent as usual. I have been going to BRIO for years and it has been consistently excellent. One of our waiters adjusted the vent for out table when there was a draft. The food is always good, always prepared perfectly. We have had our office dinners there and I have regularly taken my wife there.
Always good we come for many special occasions, we like to sit outside and enjoy the patio
