$22 for a dirty martini during HH is crazy. Even for regular service that price was disappointing for a warm 3 ingredient cocktail.

The wait staff and food was great. The low country boil had great portions and wonderful seasoning. Pricing was fair. Lots of room to hang out in the bar, play darts and pool. I will definitely return.

So the food was very good. BBQ is like religion. Everyone has their opinion and they make it loud. But I loved it. And the rest of my guests loved it and of course had strong opinions about where they grew up. Best thing was the great staff. We all agreed 100%

Brandon and Katherine Rushing and their family like team have brought the Low Country to Chicago. The fully wood fired barbecue is outstanding, with the brisket being my favorite. The mustard based gold sauce is true to its South Carolina roots, and the red sauce will please anyone who has eaten great barbecue in the Carolinas. The oysters are fresh, beautifully presented, and tasty. The collards are flavorful and cooked perfectly, not limp and wimpy, and with a nice heat to them. Totchos are a must try for the uninitiated, and the hush puppies were perfect, light, crunchy outside and warm and tender inside with a great sauce to dredge them through. Add the live blues and it was a perfect evening out with friends, old and new.

Our server was friendly and attentive and helpful with the menu. However, the oysters were not great at all, neither was the slider of the week. Fried pickles were just fine. Overall disappointing and won’t be back.

The food was tasty, the service was lacking. While there on a Sat PM, the place was not crowded and it didn’t appear they were short-staffed. We were told they were out of pulled pork for our platter for 4, but we could order sandwiches. We semi-jokingly asked if we could have pulled pork sandwiches without bread and were told we could. That makes no sense and we opted to let it go. We were not asked if we wanted a cocktail refill and had to ask for water refills. Know the place had been open for a bit, hope it survives, but concerned it won’t with this type of service. No need for us to rush back.
