About Permanently Closed - Brinkley's Broome St.
This restaurant is permanently closed. Permanently Closed - Opened in 2009, Brinkley’s popular Gastropub, located on a compelling corner of Broome Street in SoHo, is a haven for neighborhood enjoyment in a casual setting. Bike propped against the building, Brinkley likes to unwind meeting a group for Sunday brunch. Or perhaps he’s taken a seat at the bar where he can catch his favorite match over a pint of local, New York state beer. Although Brinkley is partial to the Grass-fed Burger, the menu offers a variety of pub classics like Three-Cheese Mac and Cheese and Duck Fat Fries as well as farm fresh options like Kale and Brussels Sprout Salad and Roasted Black Garlic Hummus. Here Brinkley will always make you feel at home, please come say hello.

Brinkley's Broome St. - Permanently Closed Ratings and Reviews
The food was horrible. My daughter found a black slick hair in her egg sandwich. We informed the waiter in a polite manner. They did remove the item from our bill but I really thought they should have compensated us for the meal as I only had an egg white frittata. That was a shame and since my daughter works in hospitality here in NYC she is going to tell her friends. I may report the restaurant to the department of health as the cooks were not wearing head covering. My daughter stated it is a requirement.
Unfortunately, the mediocre service and only 'okay' food caused me to rate this restaurant as a place we will not try again.
My chicken was rubbery and tasted as if it had been sitting out and turned tuff.
Both my toast and husband's French toast had pieces of spinach attached, leading us to believe that the food was all cooked nearby other things and not leaving us with a great feeling of cleanliness or order.
We (4girls)visit From Dublin,Ireland once or twice a year and we visit Brinkleys each time for either Brunch,Lunch or early evening sharing plates and always bottles of prosecco! Our trips wouldn't be the same. Love the location, ambience, food, drinks and service! Look forward to returning again and again.
Had an early dinner with my wife and daughter here on a Saturday. Seated immediately. A little bohemian spot in a convenient location. Food was very good although the Hanger Steak special mentioned on Open Table menu is not really on the menu, they made it for us anyway. A pretty good drink menu although we weren't drinking. Service was friendly, but a little disjointed. Cheesecake dessert was unusual and absolutely incredible!
I came here with a group 0f 10 at 8:30PM on a Monday night. Seating was comfortable, the place was not too crowded or noisy. The value and quality of the food was good. The service was good too. Friendly staff and waiters. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a casual bite in a cool area.
The pimento cheese appetizer was satisfying, while the fried chicken biscuit was savory and filling. Particularly happy that on a busy Friday night we could be seated right away, with plenty of space so we didn't feel cramped around others. Staff were friendly and fast.
I ordered the French toast with a side of the vegetarian bacon. I make this bacon at home all the time so I know that it actually needs to be cooked in a pan and not microwaved. It should be crispy and brown. Needless to say when my bacon came out it wasn't cooked. I sent it back to be cooked more and again it wasn't cooked. In addition, I had to ask for syrup for my French toast. When I was done with the small bit that I was given I had to ask again for more. The only good thing about my brunch was the mimosa that had pear purée.
We shared Mac & Cheese and Duck Fat Fries to start. Mac was delicious - fries were pretty good. California Burger and Gilled Chicken Salad were yummy as was Chicken & Avocado sandwich. Lobster grilled cheese came on white bread which wasn't too exciting. Server was kind enough to charge my hubby's phone which had died. Great selection of local beers on tap too.
Hostess took about 5 minutes to greet and seat us, they were not busy. Then the waitress took about 10 minutes to come over to the table and then took our food order but not the drink order. We chose to cancel the order and leave after she was not friendly and actually seemed mad at us. Too many other nice restaurants to choose from in NYC.
The service was woeful, the beer was warm, the sliders were so minuscule you would have to eat 8 servings of them to come close to a main meal. You would think the server would have suggested an additional meal choice for dinner. The mac and cheese was exceptionally bland. I would not recommend this place to anyone hoping for good service, good food, cold beer and/or value for money.
