Great food as alway, but table in between two never ending bathroom lines on either side of us was a bit awkward.
This is my 3rd time and 1st time for my partner to come join. I had such a great dinner with a friend the weekend before with our server Caleb that we had requested him again... amazing service and dining experience!
This was our first visit to Brine, and unfortunately, our last. We arrived at the restaurant for a 6:30 reservation and at the time, were one of the only parties there. Throughout the evening, the restaurant got understandably busy, as it was a Friday night; however, it took an hour and a half for us to receive our food— without any offer to correct the issue from our server, who was quite forgetful. The service was below fair and the food was good, at best. I would not recommend.
One of the few places in greater Atlanta area where you can get cold water lobster (lobster roll tastes like you're in Bar Harbor, Maine) and other authentic sea foods. Service was slow, but adequate. Good kids menu. Good beer options. We'll go back.
We live this place!!!! Great food and consistent!
The food and drinks were great! Caleb took good care of us. We will be back!
Really enjoyed my 2nd visit at Brine. Took a friend whom had not been yet and really loved trying a variety of oysters that I hadn't had before. Our dining experience was made even better with our server, Caleb who was just great. Can't wait for warmer weather for the roof top patio to open up!
My husband and I have eaten there twice and it has been excellent both times. We will be regulars.
Fresh seafood for this Florida Girl-- the shrimp was just like home. The oysters were tasty and excellent with their homemade hot sauce.
We enjoyed the food very much especially the HUGE peel & eat shrimp, brussel sprouts and lightly breaded fried shrimp. My in laws said the clam chowder was excellent and all the servings were generous and very fresh. It was rather noisy but I was extremely impressed with the wait staff. My elderly in laws use a walker and cane so their mobility and hearing make dining out a challenge. But the Brine waiters were so attentive and patient in explaining the menu items and even helped my father in law get to the restroom easily by holding the door and turning the light switch for him.
Great service and great food. Really liked the options on the menu. The lobster mac n cheese and grilled grouper were excellent. Will return to try other dishes.
The food was great. At first I was a little thrown by the very simple menu but quickly realized there actually is a great deal of room to customize the catch of the day choices to suit your tastes perfectly.
The Kale with Bacon was an incredible side dish as was the Autumn Hash and Cheesy shells.
Definitely give Brine a try, if you love seafood it is a great choice.
We both had the fish & chips. Outstanding! The bar could use some training though. However will return. Good service.
We had to wait a long time for our reserved table and there is no waiting area so it’s a continuous moving to get out of the way of servers. It leads to a lot of confusion. But the lobster roll was delicious. Probably a better lunch place than nice dinner place.
Fun date night; great customer service, food is creative and good.
Nice Vino list....
Love the Fish Tacos!!
Fantastic food!! I wish there was one closer to me!
Excellent meal! Looking forward to my next visit.
Overall the food was mediocre and our table that we had a reservation for was a foot from both the kitchen and bathroom doors. It a relaxing or enjoyable meal.
I am a seasoned eater with many years of experience and travel. The meal I had at Brines was up there with some of the finely prepared seafood i have ever had. Its a casual restaurant with a serious chef with serious skills. I had perfectly prepared mahi with some ingenious and delicious side items. i would highly recommend this restaurant without any hesitation.
I started with the lobster bisque which was very tasty. I had the fried shrimp basket. The food was very good. The noise level was uncomfortable for a decent conversation.
We decided to go to Brine for Valentine's Day because it was also Ash Wednesday and we didn't want to eat meat. We were disappointed that a lot of the food items also had meat, such as the bacon wrapped shrimp and low country boil with andouille sausage. All of the entries on the pris fix menu had some sort of meat in it, which was surprising, since this is supposed to be a seafood restaurant. We had the crab cakes as an appetizer and they were tasty. We had the grouper and it was also good. The service was attentive. It is a good spot for a casual evening.
Restaurant small but food and service was great. Some tables are very close together. Right in the middle of Avalon. Nice location.
We will be back
It was our first time & we would return!!
The food was good quality but the dishes were not particularly notable. The ahi poke was the best thing we had. The lobster bisque was ok but lacking sherry. The fried shrimp was quality but not interesting in flavor. The ceviche had potential but again, good quality but not as flavorful as we had hoped. The pasta and shells my son had was very good and the kids chicken fingers with fries was adequate.
Had the crawfish ravioli. First pass was refrigerator cold. Brought more and the pasta was not fully cooked.
Main courses of redfish was good.
Andrew, our Server, went out of his way to solve a problem with our food order.
Bacon Wrapped Shrimp Rocked!!! The drinks from the bar were fast and well mixed.
Food did not disappoint, service was great, and I'm glad we have a good go to fish restaurant at the Avalon.
What's happened to Brine?? I live in the Avalon and this restaurant used to be a "can't miss" establishment. No more. Service has deteriorated. Constant menu changes. Portion sizes decreasing. Not sure why management started tinkering with a winning formula...
Our server was VERY nice! We had a variety of food from burgers to seafood and even Brussels sprouts. Everything was delicious!
The service is consistently great. The soup though was on the lukewarm side and my favorite salad didn’t have as much crab. My son loves the lobster roll.
Service was amazing but the food and drinks were just ok. Crispy Brussels sprouts were soggy and so was the calamari. Fish tacos were delicious and my friend really enjoyed her salmon. Our waiter was wonderful and very attentive without being on top of us.
Well the food was very good and the service was exceptional, I could not recommend this restaurant to my friends because it is way too too too noisy. The music was too loud for the number of people and the Acoustics in there
This restaurant is in a great location. It’s clean and nicely kept. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful. I ordered Ahi poke and clam chowder. The Ahi poke was OK. The fish was not quite fresh but not bad. I wasn’t a fan of the crackers that were served with it. It was a nice size portion so that’s a positive. The clam chowder was extremely creamy and bland. I get up to Boston quite a bit, so have lots of reference points and for a good clam chowder. I ordered the fried Mahi kids meal for my daughter. I think it’s great they actually have fish on the menu for the kids. I tried her Mahi and it is very good. We ordered a fruit salad side. A small container of grapes was served. Not sure how that qualifies as fruit salad. The menu had a good number of specialty items like oysters from various parts of the country and dinner meals. Very possible that they are better. Not a bad meal, but I feel like the taste and quality didn’t match the great surroundings and wait staff.
What a disppointment! Great location right in the middle of Phase 2 of Avalon but that's about the only good thing about it. Food was mediocre at best. Our server came back 3 times to tell us something we ordered was not available. We were seated right in front of the server station so it was noisy and distracting. Oh, and ladies, be prepared for the politically correct bathrooms that say "everyone welcome". I had to touch the filthy seat to put it down both times that I used the restroom - Ugh! So many other better casual seafood options in the area. Sorry, we won't be back!
Food was delicious and service was great! I definitely recommend!
The Brussel sprouts were awesome, the huspuppies were dry. I asked for lightly blackened and it was not. They put my fish with my husbands sides and vice versa. The manager did bring over a drink and an apology for the mix up. Tables are very close together. Waitress was reasonably attentive. Prices were reasonable
