The service was poor. They forgot about our appetizer and delivered our meals first. They also forgot our beverages until we were finished eating our meal. It was a very i enjoyable experience
Burger was very overcooked, and the staff was a little awkward when we acknowledged it.
Great burger with bacon and house hot sauce.
Eat quick, because what they don't tell you when you make a reservation here is that you'll be told, not very nicely, by the waitress to vacate your table after an hour and a half. Food was very so-so, made me wonder who's giving it the 4 stars—perhaps friends of the staff?
"Believe the Hype!"
My reservation was for 7:15.
Friday Night, Manhattan... I got there a little early. We sat at the bar and were immediately greeted by Jeremy the owner. (Very personable, humble and approachable) We ordered two beers and were seated before we even took a sip.
The service and food were awesome.
Started with the calamari. (Not your standard fried rubber bands) an interesting, slightly spiced, fresh mix. Highly recommend!
Next up... The Burger!
And to top it off... 2 people, Friday night, $53!!!!
Were can you find that anywhere, let alone Manhattan?
I highly recommend "The Brindle Room!"
(Thanks Jeremy & Staff)
I highly recommend this restaurant!
I was excited to try The Brindle Room because I had watched a Food Network show that said The Brindle Room has the 2nd best burger in America, the "Sebastians' Steakhouse Burger". So when I had a free night on a business trip, I made a reservation and cabbed over.
This review is tainted by my anticipation of having the "2nd best burger in America". The restaurant is a nice, small, neighborhood restaurant that might otherwise be a nice place to hang out. But the burger itself, while ok, was way to small to justify the price (~$17), and was nothing that special. A great burger to me is large, and has juices seeping out of it when you bite in. I honestly think that McDonald's hamburgers are larger in diameter than the Steakhouse Burger.
The total cost of my burger, fries and two beers was $46, including tip. Definitely not a great value, especially when adding in the cab fares.
Amazing food and amazing service! I will definitely be back!
It was nice to grab a bite to eat with friends here. While the burger was delicious, $18 is a lot of money for a burger than didn't leave me stuffed. My friend loved her shakshuka. I would absolutely come back!
You had the wrong e-mail for this person who made the reservation, I live in WA state. I had no way to contact Open Table to notify them of their error, so I'm telling you now. This is not a real review.
Great burger. Had some delicious happy hour mussels but we don’t like beer so we could not participate in the drink specials. The glasses of wine are on the small side. There is not a full bar. Service is friendly and nice. We like the rustic atmosphere. We will return.
Went here based on the reviews. It was worth the taxi drive over. Good burger. Definitely coming again.
A nice, kind of cozy place. The burguer was tasty but way too small for my hungry husband. It only earned a seven for him. My dish on the other hand, was the ribs and it was delicious and sufficient. The music was excellent, 80s and 70s pure rock and roll! But overall it was an uneven experience. Checked!
Unbelievable food, staff was accommodating and friendly, service was excellent.
Server was hilarious and service was perfectly-timed. Also the sauce for the mussels were terrific and a must-have. The best part was the burger - best in Manhattan and great price for dry-aged beef.
We had a reservation for four and showed up with 5 and the host found us great seats at the bar instead of trying to squeeze us all in at the small table. Most of us got the burger and it was superb, nicely seared outer crust but deliciously medium-rare inside.
The burger lived up to the hype!! The calamari was so flavorful and delicious. Will definitely recommend to friends and family.
Small, rustic restaurant in the East Village. Happy Hour offered discounted apps and wine/beer. We had the mussels, spicy calamari, burger with fries and steak with kale salad. Yummmmm. Would def recommend to friends in NYC.
Best. Burger. Period. Every time we go to Brindle Room the burger never fails. At some point I WILL try one of the other dishes.
Burger is great and I would highly recommend. Limited menue but still good.
Small little place full of local hipsters.
BUT the burger is probably the best burger i have ever had.
That alone should get you in there.
We had to wait a while for a table despite a reservation and we always had to wave the waitress over to get service, but other than that it was great. Good ambiance, great food recommendations and accommodations from the server (I was eating Whole30). Would definitely go back
Burger didn't knock it out of the park but the quality was there. Friend's steak was excellent. Service didn't miss a beat. Complimentary donut, solid prices. Place is tiny but very comfortable. Get a reservation.
Cool place. Really good burger.
Fantastic brunch. Very much looking to go back for the burger, which looked and smelled delicious.
Great burger - great happy hour - great service!!!!
Win - win - win
We ordered 4 burgers, 2 of the 4 were room temperature. Food all tasted very good though.
we always go there for their burger. a few other things on the menu are good too but burger is definitely the best. however, the sides could be improved especially fries. they taste like supermarket frozen fries.
Epic burger, salad, smoked salmon hash and shrimp n grits!
I took my son for brunch. It was delicious, drinks were great as well. Service was timely and friendly. I'm going back for the burger!
This burger is so amazing.
The Brindle Room did not disappoint! Very good food and cocktails. Loved the beer and lemonade combo! The burgers were a little raw for my liking but then again, I like mine well done. Everyone at my table though theirs were perfect though. Keep doing what you do and thank you for a terrific dining experience with my girlfriends.
Small space in the east village has been a good staple of the neighborhood for awhile now. Amazing burger blend and worth the trip for this and some amazing crispy fries. Other Menu options look good but i have only ever ordered the burger from here which has always been the star for visiting.
One of the best, if not the best, burgers in town or elsewhere. Certainly the best that I’ve had, consistently. Once you try it, there’s no going back from the ground dry-aged beef used to make these. Flavor and juiciness are extraordinary. Fries are also excellent. Syrah blend was such a delicious, nicely balanced accomplishment. Only thing lacking was the watery white sangria. Fantastic service in a pleasing setting.
The Brindle Room has a killer burger! Other food is so so but really cute, small neighborhood gem!
The team at Brindle Room was able to accommodate our large party within minimal notice and absolutely everyone loved the food! It's one of our team favorites!
The famed Brindle Room steakhouse burger is everything it's hyped up to be, and their kale salad appetizer was exceptionally tasty, thanks to the wonderful dressing and combination of ingredients. The complimentary salted caramel donut hole dessert - in lieu of a dessert menu - was a nice touch as well. I look forward to trying their blue plate specials and other menu items! It's a bit loud, but the friendly, attentive service more than makes up for that one drawback.
One of the best burgers I've ever had. I'm hard pressed to remember one that was better.
Good value for the food, not too expensive, cozy and quaint albeit a bit cramped in space, friendly service, un-fussy tasty food.
Our previous visit about a year ago was UNBELIEVABLE .
This time everything was just "OK", nothing special.
