Had a birthday lunch here yesterday, booked thinking it would be similar to Gold Leaf and had high expectations. Unfortunately nothing like the previous Gold leaf, and we were extremely disappointed with the food offering (lack of variety and options) service, and overall quality of everything. Unfortunately we won’t be rushing back. :(

Came here for Mother’s Day. Very disappointed. We arrived at 6pm, ordered at 6:15, first entree came out at 6:50, the rest of the food came at 7:45. We waited so long between food, we had to cancel the rest of the food. Would not recommend. I relayed same to the lady at the front, she simply said, “I’ll take the tea off the bill.” No care factor for service. Absolutely disappointing.

The carts took a long time to come to us - there was a good chunk of time we had barely anything on the table. Some steamed dumplings were probably steamed for a little too long - the crystal skin lacked bounce and fell apart quite easily. Dessert was excellent - mango sago and tofu fa had just right amount of sweetness.

Food was good but prefer the yum cha that was there prior, drove a fair way but probably better off heading to Gold Leaf in Sunshine. Food the same, not as expensive. Most staff lovely and helpful but booked a table with a high chair and had to ask 2 more times before actually getting one. Felt like our table was avoided at times even though we were on a corner table, had to call out to trolleys multiple times to be served and when we were served there was only 1 of what we wanted, so having to continuously take one that was cold then wait 10 minutes for the extra plates (that we ordered) got a bit frustrating. Not sure why we were avoided but it seemed like a common theme and usually don’t write bad reviews but probably won’t come back. Yum Cha is about ordering off the carts not continuously having to order what we want after having to scream down multiple carts to try and get some food. My throat hurts.
