   I made reservations for 2 with no problems but found out they only had outdoor seating (construction?). We thought it was going to be cold but they had plenty of outdoor heaters at the bar. We had 3 different bar pies and each was very good. The woman behind the bar and the manager were extremely friendly. There was an excellent guitar player, good food, good drink's, friendly people and a great atmosphere. Could not ask for a better night!

   Took reservation but when we showed up, we were told that the indoor restaurant was closed, and the outdoor bar was not serving food.

   They were having construction being done in the kitchen so no cooked food. I wish I had known that before I made reservations.

   Food was good but over priced…especially the salmon crab appetizer. Michael J was a great server.

   Didn’t find out, until we arrived, that there was no inside dining, and that they had no hot food! It turned out that we were the only diners at the restaurant, except for a large, very loud group at the bar nearby. Admittedly, it was a Sunday at 4:30, the week after Labor Day, on a light-drizzle day. (We sat under a tent by the bar.) However, we feel that there should have been some sort of notification on Open Table, that the Restaurant was not running on full steam. (The manager did try to reach us before we arrived, but too late.) P.S. The entire staff was pleasant, friendly and efficient.👍🏻

   We always loved the old River House and was thrilled to see if had finally reopened after 3 or 4 years being closed for renovations. The view from the deck is fantastic, so relaxing to sit and watch the coming and going on the inlet. The restaurant itself is really not open yet. They have a bar and what I would call bar food. They are calling it a limited menu. The problem on their website it shows what looks like a lunch menu but does reference dinner and event space so you assume that there is another menu. Like they say never assume. No one answers if you call to inquire, just leave a message. So that is my rant. If you are looking for a bar on the water this currently is the place to go. We will be back but to until they have a full kitchen up and running.

   Went for lunch Friday after Labor Day weekend. Lovely location and our server was great. Very limited menu and overpriced. We sat out on the deck so to be fair it wasn’t the main restaurant.

   We arrived on time and we’re seated right away. Our table was comfortable facing the ocean, beautiful sunset. Ordered tuna roll, California roll and two lobster roll sandwiches. Sushi was outstanding, however the lobster roll sandwich lacked seasoning and was rather chewy. It had no flavor at all, the roll itself was way too much bread, although rather tasty, but overall disappointing. The sides of plantains seemed not to go well with the lobster roll, maybe another selection. Usually we taste things before they leave the kitchen or while they’re being prepared, this was not the case for us, because if they had tasted the lobster roll, it would have never left the kitchen. Usually if you are not proud to serve an item, you don’t serve it!

   Upon arriving we were asked,” have you seen our menu?” We said no, and we were told they had no HOT foods, only salads, sandwiches and raw bar. Apparently, the restaurant is undergoing major renovations and does not have a full kitchen yet. We decided to stay. We ordered from the limited menu and the items ordered were tasty, especially the lobster roll. However, everything was served on paper plates and plastic utensils. In the wind on the outdoor deck, things were blowing around. For the prices being charged, this should not have served on paper plates. Maybe this restaurant will be fine when it fully opens but was a disappointing experience. We tried calling the restaurant twice to change our reservation. I left my phone number and they never called me back. They could have called to let us know about the limited menu. Very poor handling.
