Let's just say that from the moment they walked us up the stairs to the second class dining area, it should have been our red flag for the entirety of the experience. While the menu reads nicely, none of the food we ordered tasted good. The Brussels Sprouts were sickly sweet, the wedge salad we had to send back as it was drowning in dressing, and while the short ribs were cooked quite nicely, the sauce was supremely lackluster and flavorless and the polenta, well that takes the prize: lumpy, and devoid of any seasoning whatsoever. The only delectable item was the non-alcoholic Mojito style drink, which was tart and full of cucumber and mint flavor. Overall, exceptionally mediocre. They did offer us a discount on the bill, which really was the right thing to do.

A beautiful location. Casual, but classy. Menu has a huge variety. Top quality food. Service is more than pleasant. One of our favorite places in Astoria.

We often eat at Bridgewater Bistro and have had many excellent experiences there. Our most recent visit was weaker than most because they were short-handed and we waited quite a while for someone to take our drink order. The food and drinks were as excellent as always, however.

Incredible location, great interior! My dirty gin martini was excellent! Wait staff was friendly and attentive. On Friday night they had a quiet jazz trio who added to the warm ambiance. The food is mediocre. But I would return just because of the killer location and view.

The food was unique and delicious. I had the clams and my wife had the Salmon. Both were done perfectly. The waiter was attentive but not overly intrusive. Overall a wonderful experience.

I reserved a table online with opentable and they had no record of it. They did seat us, and rather begrudgingly allowed us to sit at a booth. This was our 25th wedding anniversary meal and were treated very well last year when we went for our 24th. They gave us free champagne last year. So we expected something close or better this year. This year they never mentioned our anniversary that was put as the reason for the reservation, or asked if we were celebrating anything. The service wasn't bad, but for the money, and how fancy it was, it wasn't great either. The short ribs tasted great, the polenta that came with it was bland. My wife got the fish cakes and didn't really like them very much, her favorite was the coleslaw. I plan on eating somewhere else next time I celebrate something.
