Bridget's Steakhouse Ratings and Reviews
Wait staff was awesome and very helpful with recommendations. Food was also great. I had the beet salad which was very fresh and tasty. Filet was cooked perfectly . Had a different sauce(horseradish) than what was offered on the menu which really went well with the filet. Will definitely return.
Bridget's was delicious. The service was excellent and you are given the appropriate amount of attention. The food looked to good to eat. It was delicious and the portions were a nice size. Their Happy Hour price fixed menu from 5-6 is worth the trip. Hope to get there again soon.
Food is always very good. Service this time was not great. It was a very busy Saturday night and they couldn't keep up. Entrees came out before the first-course had been removed. Didn't see our server until our dinner plates were empty, unfortunately so were our drink glasses.
This is our favorite Ambler resteraunt and our favorite outside of center city Philadelphia. We have never had a bad meal here. Service is outstanding and ambience very nice. Valet parking very appreciated. We did early bird special this visit and portions were perfect for a 50 and a 60 year old.
Service was outstanding. The food was exceptional. The atmosphere was great. A little on the loud side but all in all a top choice for a special meal. We dined there with family on our anniversary. Two short ribs, one sea bass special and one shrimp fra diablo. All were really delicious. Free valet parking. Definitely will go back for more special occasions.
We live in Ambler and visit Bridget's a few times a year, mostly for special occasions, as it is pricey. But, the food, service and ambiance make it well worth the cost. And, frankly, their prices are moderate compared to other steak houses where everything is a la carte. This visit we had the Caesar salad and the New York strip. The steak came with delicious poblano mashed potatoes and green beans. Everything was just delicious! Excellent wine selection and a generous martini. We walk to the restaurant as we live so close, but there is valet parking and also ample parking at the adjacent SEPTA lot if you're visiting on the evening or weekend.
Excellent restaurant in Ambler. Celebrated my birthday with mom. They offer a fantastic prix fixxe 3 course meal for $35 from 5-6 PM and all day Monday's. We both enjoyed the crab cake for appetizer. I enjoyed the Seafood Fra Diavolo with scallop and shrimp and my mother's filer was cooked to perfection and melted in your mouth. Last, we both enjoyed our desserts too. The cheesecake and bananas foster were both great. Service was excellent!
I normally love Bridgets Steakhouse, but my last visit was not as enjoyable. A friend in our party ordered a steak (ribeye) that was so tough, it looked like leather. She thought that she ordered it med-well, but it came out over well. She has eaten well done meat in the past, but this cut and preparation was nearly inedible. In fact, she didn’t eat it. We complained and basically got an ‘oh well’. I just expected a steakhouse to stand behind their steaks. The rest of the food was better than the steak.
Food was excellent, tbut if it's quiet you want, this may not be the place for you, at least on a Friday night. We knew that going in, so no biggie. Timing was little off between courses so we had to pass on dessert to get to the play down the street - that was the only bummer.
We went to Bridgets for our son's Birthday and enjoyed a terrific meal. We started with great cocktails and appetizers.
Service was first rate and the entrees fantastic-----------We would recommend this restaurant for a great night out as a couple or with friends. There also is a price fix menu which we did not do but will try on our next visit.
If you want more casual you could east at the bar
I was in town for business and looking for a steakhouse for dinner. I didn't want to go to Morton's or Capital Grill, etc and thought I would give a local restaurant a try. I was not disappointed and would recommend Bridget's to anyone looking to support a local business.
Bridget's is not what we expected. Dinner was good, but not great. We went for the prix fixe meal, which was certainly not an impressive "deal." For $35.00 we had one small crab cake appetizer, a very good, but small piece of filet mignon with potatoes and green beans and a scoop of ice cream. Others in our party opted for cheesecake for dessert, but the waiter named the wrong flavor and consequently they weren't served what they expected. When asked about the flavor of the cheesecake, the server claimed he said another flavor, but all four of us were definite he stated otherwise. Also, the room had some tables with white tablecloths, but not ours. If it is trying to be upscale, why is there a large tv screen in the room? Overall, not impressive.
Lunch at Bridget's was rather lonely. We were the only people there for most of the time. The atmosphere was rather blah - marble tabletops with basically no decor except large windows that can open, weather permitting. The prosciutto salad was good, but not spectacular. The Caesar salad was the same. We had no desire to try dessert, not to hurry back. With so many good restaurants in the area, Bridget's needs to try harder.
Went here for our wedding anniversary. Great choice again, as always. Great service, excellent menu and wine selection. Special treat of a free dessert that was unexpected, totally just a nice thing they decided to do on their own. Liked sitting at the bar for a pre-dinner drink. Everyone working here is super friendly and professional.
The food is very good but this restaurant was very noisy. On a recent Saturday night we could not easily hear each other. I wouldn't recommend it on a weekend, but the food was good and I would try it during the week, especially before 6:00 when an attractive price fixe menu is available.
Wonderful meal! We had a reservation and were promptly seated upon check in. Our waiter was very attentive without it being too much. The food was cooked perfectly and everyone in our party thoroughly enjoyed their meal. I would absolutely dine here again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a wonderful meal in the Ambler area.
My husband and i tried Bridget's for the first time Saturday night in honor of our anniversary. Portion sizes were generous. They had a nice list of cocktails with many choices. Prices were in line with other steakhouses and definitely far more reasonable than a place like Morton's. For our first course, i had a caesar salad (pretty good -a bit heavy on the dressing). My husband had the soup special, asparagus and crabmeat, and said it was excellent. We both had 16 oz ribeye steaks. We were too full for dessert. Service was very good. We sat in the front room, away from the bar, but it was still pretty lively in terms of noise level. This is not a quiet restaurant.
They have a 3 course price fixe option from 5-6 pm which sounds like a really good deal. We may go back again and try that, since 16 oz steaks were way too big for us.
